The House is situated in the center: 50m until the postal bus stop to Saas-Fee and Saas-Almagell (water dam Mattmark-highest natural dam in Europe), direct at the cross country skiing pist (26km long), 400m to the gondola that brings you to the skiing region of Saas-Grund/Hohsaas (till 3200m), 5min by foot to the ice skating rink, Tennis court and Football pitch.

This hotel is the ideal starting point for long or short hiking tours in the land of the 4000 meter high mountain range. Our newly renovated rooms are cozy and spacious. All have access to a balcony.

We would like to spoil you in one of our restaurants: our cozy restaurant with specialties out of our varied menu, the rustic Hunter’s lounge with typical regional rösti, fondue and raclette.

The bar is a meeting point for locals and guests. Here you will get in touch with traditions again!

How to reach Hotel Dom

By car
Saas-Grund is situated in the South of the Wallis, 25km from Visp and 35km from Brig. In the Summer it is accessible from the South over the Alp pass (the Simplon), from the West (Big St-Bernard) and East (Furka) via Rhone Valley.
During the whole year from North through Bern and the Lötschberg, then with the car on the train from Kandersteg to Goppenstein or from west Switzerland though Lausanne, through the Rhone Valley until Visp and on the Saastal road.
Drive to the front of the hotel, the parking spaces are free.
Car on train Lötschberg:
-From Kandersteg (North): daily from 6.10am every 30min until 11.10pm (first train 5.10am last 12pm.)
-From Goppenstein (South): daily from 6.10am every 30min until 11.10pm. (first train 5.10am last 12pm.)
-During peak season every 15min during weekends.
Car on train Lötschberg:
-From Realp (North) daily from 6.30am every 60min until 9pm
-From Oberwald (South): daily from 6am every 60min until 9pm

By train
Passenger by train will come through Brig, Visp and will have to change to get a Postal Bus to Saas-Grund Postplatz. There are connections every hour until 8.05pm from Brig (Friday and Saturday till 9.05pm). Give up your luggage at the first train station counter and pick it up again at the Postal bus station in Saas-Grund.
Tip: Train ticket at ADAC Euro 25.- return
By plane: Basel Euroairport/Bern/Geneva/Zürich/Milano Malpensa Aiport.
