Inspite of the fact that you publish "free & private parking", and there was indeed a free parking, but no car was parking then, the receptionist did not allow me to use the hotel parking, claiming that the free 4 places are kept for other guests who came before me. I asked her again the next day whether I can park there, while the parking was totally empty of cars, and again I was not allowed to park at the hotel parking.

The hotel is super clean and tasteful. The breakfast was great with only 13Euro. Since we went to November so the price was reduced to half so we feel we got a great deal for the room and location. The location is in right in the middle of the town so we can walk around easily...

My wife and I had dinner on the dining room veranda. The metal chairs, common in Provence, were very uncomfortable on our backs. The view was lovely and of the ochre cliffs. The food was fine, but small portions, and we did not think it was a good value for the price we paid. We never had breakfast there, too expensive, but went up the hill to the only place we could find in the village who would serve coffee, bread, butter, and marmalade for a total of 12 euros. The highlight of our room was the large balcony with view of the valley and mountains. One thing we did not like was that the reception desk was not manned constantly, which would allow anyone to come in off the street and to slip up the stairs to area of guest rooms.

My friend and I came to the South to go to some markets and explore the region after 5 days in Paris. Regrettably, going to the south of France in late January was not the best decision. Most of the restaurants were closed in our area as were the shops. Lucky for us the restaurant, Davids, located in the hotel was serving other than Sunday. That said, I look forward to visiting this wonderful hotel again, bringing my husband, just a different time of the year.

This is the most romantic and beautiful location we have visited in the entire world. The hotel is fabulous and the staff were at the same time professional, friendly and warm. They made our stay genuinely top-notch. Everyone in the village of Roussillon was friendly and forgiving of my less-than-perfect french. Delores, the parking and traffic policewoman who was always so industrious in the village, always had a warm smile for everyone and seemed more like an ambassador to the village than a law enforcement official. We can't wait to go back for another visit!

Le Clos de la Glycine was exceptional in location and service. Right in the center of Roussillon it was the perfect spot for 2 nights, affording good access to the other famous hill towns in the area.

Best location in Roussillon. Comp hotel parking right outside the door- this is important! Great room and bath, excellent english speaking host. Eat thier breakfast in the Clos de la Gycine (translates into "room with wysteria vines"). Eat dinner on their terrace overlooking the ocre hills. Great jumping off point for other Luberon towns.
