The hotel is in good location - 2 minutes from the Cathedral. Other than that its very much a 1-2 star hotel. The room was tiny - which is ok - we expected that. But there was a horrible smell of stale water coming from the bathroom. Overall its a blah hotel. Ive stayed at much better 2 star hotels. I dont expect much in terms of size or amenities but a smelly room is just out of the question.

I chose this hotel not for the price but for the description in the Michelin Guide "l'eveque Cauchon instigateur du proces de Jeanne d'Arc reside ici..."I have visited Rouen before and assumed I was booking an old hotel not a semi modern, somewhat run down commercial hotel. I have used the Guide a lot and was surprised to be let down.

how's possible to book a room in a central hotel and didn't have a wardrobe in the room???...crazly!!!!!....the room was too much small...and there's too much hot!!!!!....we heard other guests said the same thing each other....bye

The room was fairly small but cleqr. The bathroom was in need of refurbishment - there had evidently been a leak on the floor above and the paint on the ceiling was stained and peeling badly. There were no towels when we arrived although these were provided very promptly on request. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming and the central location was very good. Overall we were happy with our stay and would use this hotel again.
