The hotel is quite remote from the village therefor restricted to using the dining facilities. Food was plentifull, but average. The rooms were compact and comfortable, however starting to show signs of wear and tear i.e. light bulbs needing replaced, extractor fan not working. Could be less expensive.

This was our second stay. It is the ideal stopover on the journey south.

Very neat & tidy hotel for an overnight stopover. Excellent resturant for both evening meal and breakfast. Location to the motorway network first class.

I had two reciepts for two seperate bookings yet there was one only at the hotel. This made me very angry and put a bad start to my hol. At about 11:30 pm a room was avilable coz someone didn't turn up which I assume was my other booking. Until then I would have been sleeping on the floor. Although the hotel reception didn't say it was mine. Buy if it was and they put it down as the customer didn't arrive then I will be charged on my credit card aswel. I am extremeley unhappy about this.

Our stay at Rouen Ouest was very good value staff were helpful and polite the standard of meals was good and the options well priced. The economy room clean but basic although reasonably well appointed. On our return journey we revisited the hotel and took a confort room, much larger and equally as well equipped, all in all a good hotel well kept with good staff and good food.

Seldom anyone at reception desk and had to ring bell many times to get any service. Took about six hours and much chasing of staff to get the cot we had requested weeks in advance. No staff visible in restaurant to order any drinks, even water. Fortunately the food is a buffet and was pretty good.

We booked this hotel as a stop over, but never again! It was awful. Rooms like prison cells, hairs(not from the head)on the blankets, no smoking room had an ashtray and stank! Also the pillow cases had old mildew stains on them. Paid for the upgrade, but no better. Advise DO NOT GO!!!

Inattentive front of house staff - missing for a great deal of time. Restaurant staff pleasant. Selection of food available at dinner was OK - nothing extraordinary. Easy to find from directions. Only stayed 1 night on way home - would not recommend for a holiday.

Excellent stop over hotel for the night. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent buffet style breakfast and evening meal.

Reception staff seemed unaware of our booking, then gave key to a room which was already occupied (by a couple in bed!). Price charged was higher than the price quoted by Venere on making the reservation.

My room was one of the economic, good enough for a short stay of only one night. In case of longer time, an executive room is advisable. The cuisine was very good and at a reasonable price and the employees very friendly. Most people in the hotel were bussiness travellers probably due to its location near an important motorway though a little far from Rouen or other important cities. I will use it for next trips.

The receptionist was extremely welcoming and understanding. Rately received better. We used the hotel for an overnight to break the journey from Bordeaux to Calais. It Fitted our requirements. The rooms we had were a fraction on the small side but were clean and comfortable.

We were extremely lucky. When I booked the room I mentionned that we would arrive after 23:30. As it happend we arrived around 01:00 and everything was closed. Luckily, some staff was fidling around at 1 in the morning and let us in. It is the first time that I arrived in an hotel where there was no guard. I understand perfectly the problem but on no occasions were we told that the hotel might be closed after 23:00. We had a phone number but this would have been probably useless as it would have rang at the reception desk were ther was nobody. So we were lucky.

This was our first visit to Hotel Best Hôtel Rouen Ouest and we will certainly come back!
