This Hotel is on the edge of the city centre and china town. Very easy to walk or catch the tram into the main shopping area or to anywhere else. We were very happy and would definatley stay there again. A lot of construction going on, but that can happen anywhere.

The rooms were small, the stairs pretty steep - not the hotel's fault, it's an old house. The windows could'nt be opened very wide due to security reasons (according to the typical regional architecture, they extend way down to the floor) - this was a little bit of a problem as I happened to run into some real hot days, and the sun heated up the sothwestward oriented room pretty much. - I am, however, sure that such weather conditions are untypical;-) The hotel's location is outstanding: very close to the train station, every address in the centre is within walking distance. Of course then, you should not expect that the outside noise level is that of a wild forest park resort. The windows, however, shield the noise very well. All in all: Hotel One is an excellent address for a business trip!

Close to Rotterdam Centraal Station which makes it easy to find. Neighborhood fairly okay. Subway construction disturbs local traffic somewhat. There are a few restaurants around. The owner also runs the Sushi joint downstairs. Good food for a fair price (all you can eat Sushi is always neat). Rooms are clean and spacious for European standards. Some renovation work going on at the lobby. Internet connection available in the room. If you can find the room that is... The hallways are designed like a small maze. Once you get off the elevator you need to get through a couple of doors to reach the actual door to your room. Small LCD TV, with very good reception and a good selection of channels for many languages. Employees are helpful and competent. Minibar is well stocked. Oh and breakfast and in-room tea & coffee included in the price. Not much to see in the city but I was there for business anyway. Price/quality-wise it is a fair deal.

Was in Rotterdam for one night only, on a business trip. Good internet connection much appreciated - free of charge. Breakfast was included though I did not expect it from the description online. I got double room but bought single which I understand can be quite small.

The hotel was nice, the room was nice. Still no breakfast available and of the three receptionist I met, Only one was friendly. it was as if they were doing me a favour by helping me. And then the elevator brokedown.

No breakfast offered due to renovation work, could have offered a discount or a voucher for a coffee bar. Noise from tram.

A nice hotel with pleasant staff and easy access to local areas of interest. Unfortunately whilst I was there the lobby and breakfast areas were under renovation so there no meals served in the hotel. This was compensated for by the number of restaurants in easy walking distance, i.e the sushi bar on the diagonal opposite corner or the Chinese restaurant on the opposite corner. With the Pathé cinema on the next street and the Dedoelen center nearby there is a lot of entertainment available within a 5 minute walk. Although I stayed in a single room there was plenty of space with an en suite shower room/wc and it was nicely decorated. I stayed for 8 days and enjoyed my time there. If I go back to Rotterdam in the future I will definitely stay here again.

No smoking hotel. rooms are 9 sqm!!! how can they have 4 stars?
