The hotel is run from the restaurant downstairs so if you have a question or problem when the restaurant is closed there is nobody around. I am well used to continental breakfasts but this one was barely adequate and each morning the coffee and tea were served luke warm despite being prepared especially for us. When I checked out on the last morning and tried to pay with credit card there was a problem as the gentleman in charge could not speak English and did not know how to use the credit card machine. As I didn't have sufficient funds on me to pay with cash I had to wait around until the chef arrived. Luckily this was only around 10 minutes but it was inconvenient nevertheless. Rothenburg is a beautiful town and this hotel is well placed within the city walls.

I stayed here 2 nights and would not hesitate to stay here again. The hotel is small and about a 20-minute walk from the train station. The location is excellent, inside the old city walls and just a few minutes walk to the main square. Breakfast is minimal, but good and there is an excellent view of the valley from the back of the hotel.

Nice staff, nice room. Small bathroom. Breakfast was sufficient and European. Location was excellent; we walked all over the town.

The hotel was overrated in it's description. Staff was snooty and lots of construction going on around the hotel making it hard to sleep. Not at all what we expected from the description on your web page. Not within walking of the old city and on a very busy street with lots of bars and noise. Won't stay there again.

Fantastic location but they need to give better instructions to find the place, such as, the hotel is inside the old town walls! The manager was reasonably friendly but lacked some customer focus. Breakfast was below average for Germany but the location made up for this.

El hotel era muy, muy pequeño. Ubicado relativamente cerca del centro. Con pocas comodidades. Los dueños simpáticos y dispuestos a resolver problemas. Creo que por el precio que pagamos se podía conseguir algo mucho mejor.

The owner was very nice and the hotel is in an excellent location to tour Rothenburg. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends. We walked with our backpacks from the train station to this hotel without a problem.

The restaurant was closed while we were there and there was ongoing construction work on the floor above us. None of that interefered with our expereince. However, although a credit card was used to make the reservation and credit card signs were on the counters, the establshment would not take a credit card in payment. This upset our cash planning. The staff seemed to think that it was as simple as going to a bank at 8 AM to get cash which for us was not the case. The establishment claimed that the credit card machine was broken but when attempting to use the card it did not appear that the staff was using the machine properly. I felt like cash was definitely being extracted.

Nice hotel in a beautiful town. We'll come another time (for us it is the third trip in Rothenburg!)

The room was comfortable for three of us and the location was quite nice. We visited in the winter when the town was relatively quiet, and so was the hotel.
