This was a wonderful, friendly hotel run by an enthusiastic family who made it one of our best hotel stays ever. We enjoyed views over the valley from our balcony and the most memorable breakfasts on the open terrace where breakfasts and drinks were served. The hotel is set in a lovely vibrant village with an amazing bakery and a fabulous restaurant run by the family that owns the hotel. By far the best food we have eaten on visits to Italy. Thank you all for a fabulous visit and we look forward to staying again.

This was our first stay at this hotel while attending F1 GP at Monza. This hotel is an excellent family run business offering spacious modern rooms. Location is very nice although a little further in time from Monza than anticipated. Reasonable car parking available. Staff helpful and pleasant to deal with.

A delightful hotel in a perfect setting run by lovely people. Not only is the hotel welcoming but we found the townspeople also very warm. Rota d'Imagna is, however, very isolated; excellent for walkers and nature lovers but otherwise you need a car and its a drive to anywhere you might want to visit.

Beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings. Set in a breathtaking location with a very short walk to the nearest village. The hotel owners also have a delightful restaurant in the village where they make the most delicious fresh pizza i have ever tasted. The hotel owner's son is able to organise everything including airport shuttles, train and bus times, local walks or biking. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for him to help you during your stay. My wife and I stayed here as a base for exploring the italian lakes and we are so glad that we did. We only stayed a short time but we will definitely return in the future.

Petit parking.

This hotel was absolutely fantastic. It is set in a picturesque valley and is terrific value for money. The rooms were huge, and bathroom 5 star. The staff were so friendly and helpful. In particular Jean Pierro is a wonderful host. His English is perfect and he has a great knowledge of the area to advise and direct you. It is a great base for Lake Como and Garda, Milan or Bergamo. We extended our trip by one day we were so impressed. This was a 10 out of 10 hotel.

The welcoming was very friendly and the staff made all efforts to help. The room was very spacious and from the balcony we had a beautiful view on the surrounding mountains. The hotel has its own restaurant, which unfortunately was closed on the day of our arrival. Instead we were guided to a nearby restaurant/pizzeria (also owned by the hotel), where we enjoyed the most delicious pizza we had so far in Italy. The next time we are in the neighbourhood, we will surely come back to Miramonti.

This was our first visit to Rota d'Imagna and we arrived very late at night and had to find our way to the Miramonti in the dark in a hire car. After many wrong turns and hairpin bends we eventually arrived in the early hours of the morning to be welcomed by the very friendly owner and a jug of the best chocolate we have ever tasted! Our room was fantastic, very large and modern with a beautiful bathroom and memory foam mattresses! We awoke in the morning to find ourselves in a picturesque village at the top of a mountain with wonderful views over the valley below. The whole family is involved in the running of the hotel from the mothers cooking in the restaurant, dads manning the bar and generally helping out and cousins cleaning the rooms and helping in the restaurant. Giampiero, the son, was our main contact before our holiday, he emailed us with directions and was generally very helpful and welcoming. He spoke excellent English and was always ready with suggestions for trips during our visit and produced maps and instructions to help us see the area at it's best. We even drove to Milan with his expert instructions. Our only slight disappointment was that the hotel restaurant wasn't open but this quickly disappeared when we visited Da Pina, the pizzeria and trattoria, also owned by the family, just 100 yards from the hotel, where we ate some of the best Italian food we have ever tasted with pizzas to die for. We would certainly go back and would recommend this hotel to friends, it is a beautiful little gem up in the mountains and very relaxing.

Really beautiful hotel in truly spectacular location.Would loved to have spent longer than one night there.Probably the most helpful, friendliest staff we have ever encountered. We didn't realise however that the hotel was located nearly an hours drive away from Bergamo airport. We were met at the airport by the very kind owner but I think the location is best for car hirers. We would definitely go back.

This Hotel is a jewel in a beautiful place The family which runs it could be used to give lessons to other hoteliers; they are polite, courteous, particularly helpful and will go to great lengths to ensure you want for nothing. This was our second visit and it will not be our last. Access to Bergamo and Milan is not difficult and the drive over the Valcava Pass (where the radio masts are) affords spectacular views.

Miramonti was the where we began 4 weeks holiday in Italy. We couldn't have had a better start. We were there to go to the race at Monza and it was the best value accomodation within reach of Monza that we found when searching on the internet. The hotel exceeded our expectations, with the rooms being clean, smart and comfortable and the staff so warm and welcoming that we were sorry to say goodbye to them. Our 8 and 11-year old children had a great time here.Stunning views from our rooms, lovely breakfasts and a lovely village to wander round and eat in all helped make this a memorable stay.

Exellent Hotel in lovely situation. Staff very efficient and friendly. We only stayed one night but wished we had booked longer stay and will probably return to do so. Although directions were clear and it should have been easier to find we did have difficulty in the dark but then again it was our first drive in Italy. This hotel is exellent value for money.

We were very pleased that we chose this hotel. Originally we thought about staying in Milan, but previous reviews indicated that we would not get a hotel of the same standard as the Miramonti for the same money. After visiting Milan we were sure we had made the right choice. All previous reviews are correct. If you are looking for action, then this is not the place for you. There is nothing to do apart from visiting the Pizzeria. After eating we would go back to the Hotel for drinks, but we got the impression that we were keeping the staff up. That said, the uncle was a very nice man. We would all return to this Hotel again, it was really good.

This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in, not just in Italy but in Europe. The owners and staff could not be more helpful, the hotel is immaculate and the location takes your breath away. Add to this the great value for money and you have a hotel which richly deserves the many accolades it has received on this and other websites.

Very smart entrance hall but the room we had (I was travelling with my son) was far too small and anyone overweight would have not been able to shower! Apparently the rooms have been renovated and the quality of materials used is good. Unfortunately we had rain so the marvellous view we were expecting was invisible. Restaurant up the road from the hotel (but belonging to the hotel) was very good and with friendly service. Excellent breakfast and very helpful personnel. Hotel not easy to find. Very detailed directions should be given.

THE MIRAMONTI WAS A GEM OF A HOTEL.ITS LOCATION WAS PERFECT AND THE HOTEL STAFF WERE MORE THAN ACCOMODATING IN MAKING SURE THAT WE MADE THE BEST OF THE LOCATION. THE BREAKFAST WAS THE BEST THAT WE HAD ON OUR TOUR OF ITALY(WE STAYED AT 5 HOTELS IN TOTAL~) THE HOTEL RESTAURANT WAS ALSO EXCELLENT - MEALS WERE HOME COOKED AND LOCAL PRODUCE USED AND OF EXCELLENT QUALITY.THE VIEWS FROM THE HOTEL BALCONY WAS STUNNING - AND WE REALLY APPRECIATED THE WELCOMING DRINKS THAT WERE BROUGHT TO OUR ROOM ON ARRIVAL-SO THAT WE COULD SIT AND APPRECIATE THE VIEW. ANOTHER PLUS WAS THE SHUTTLE SERVICE TO/FROM THE AIRPORT.

I stayed at this hotel in September 2004 along with my wife, 2 year old daughter and my mother and father. We were welcomed by Giampiero when we arrived and, during our stay, he was very helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel rooms are very basic but they were very clean and comfortable. The views from the hotel were quite spectacular and well worth the drive. There were a few places to eat in Rota D'Imagna but the best place to eat is the pizzeria round the corner from the Hotel Miramonti which is owned by the same people. The food was excellent and exceptionally good value. The pizza was the best we have ever eaten and very cheap - we highly recommend it. After we left Rota D'Imagna we toured the lakes but never found a restaurant or any other pizza which came close to the piazzeria in Rota D'Imagna.

This was quite a revelation. The photograph and pricing led us to expect a rather ordinary hotel. In fact this is an excellent hotel in a stunning location, set high on a hillside in a peaceful village overlooking a beautiful green valley. We were welcomed by friendly and efficient staff. The room was spotless, spacious and very well appointed. The breakfast (included in the price) was appetising and generous. Although the restaurant wasn't open in the evening, the staff recommended a very good Pizzaria just a short walk away. Overall this hotel was the best of our stay in Italy, and very good value for money by Italian standards. Our one regret was that we were only able to stay for a single night.
