My wife and I journeyed to Monte Carlo to attend the ATP Tennis Tournament. The Vista Palace Hotel is heroically situated on a cliff over the Monte Carlo Country Club. We could watch matches, through binoculars, from our balcony. We could hear the roar of the crowd from our room. We had an excellent dinner in the Hotel dining room, and breakfast was superb. We will stay at the Vista Palace when we return, and we are recommending it to our friends.

What a bad experience. The day we arrived, me and my wife went to the hotel's restaurant. The maitre wanted to give us the worst table avaiable, with many nice tables avaiable, but "reserved" . After a complain, we had a not so bad table. The reserved tables were not used by anyone! After that we went to the front desk for a outlet adapter: the young guy first asked: "you have a room here?" then, keeping in his hands the only adapter possible, tried to say the many others would not work. He didn't count with my engineer's trained eyes to urge him to give that adapter. But the worst was to come: the next morning, as we got out of the room, we sat at a table avaiable at the cafe, with a very nice view, for a water and two espressos, before leaving the hotel: after ten minutes waiting, i got up and went for the waiter: when he came with our order, he said we would have to move from tahat table because it was reserved. Well, i had enough! I got up, went out of there, and will never ever get there again.

Lets just say - this is a place to stay that you will never forget. I can't put into words the location of this hotel. It is a little tricky to find, but once you do you know why as it has the ultimate view of Monte Carlo. We stayed there for 1 night (our last night of our trip - which was a good idea - as you probably will not venture more that once into Monte Carlo - as you need to take a hotel shuttle that runs on the hour). For the price of the hotel it would have been nice to get breakfast included, but it is Monte Carlo. Also, the air conditioner was a little weak. but overall, this was a great way to end a trip to Europe and I would do it again.

An expensive roadside motel with old plastic shower curtains and one of the best vistas in the world - except that even motels are usually air-conditioned. Midday heat and punk music in the lounge made the otherwise stunning view somewhat depressing.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The main highlight is the view - it is simply spectacular and worth the stay just for that. The rooms were spacious and the pool is gorgeous. I would however have preferred more onsite services and the prices were a little expensive, especially food and drinks. It is about 15 minutes out of Monaco casino square and the free shuttle was very useful - otherwise you would definately need a car.

It's a nice hotel with a wonderful view on Montecarlo and Cap Martin. Nice pool. Maybe some room's furniture looks a little obsolete, but it's all cleen and confortable. Good relationship between price and quality, considering the average of the area.

On reviendra....

Had an excellent 2 nights, the view was out of this world, the room lovely, the staff very polite and professional, room service great and the terrace restaurant food was very nice, not the cheapest in the world, but very tasty and worth it, service excellent. Breakfast plenty, again not the cheapest but this is Monte Carlo and to eat with a view like that it's worth it, and all the food was very well cooked and very tasty so worth it. We also go the shuttle into town which was on time and very good and handy. The young man in the bar area where we had a snack one night was very nice, when we showed an interest in the old photos on the walls of the vista palace he came over with a postcard and showed us a bit of history, this was very kind of him to notice our interest and politely give us some more info. All staff members were excellent, we can 't really find a complaint about this hotel, some may say it's out of town but if you want the view then you have to go high, and the free and efficient shuttle makes up for it, and it only takes 10 mins. The pool area was lovely, with fruit brought around whilst we were relaxing, pool area all very clean, as were the rooms, and the gym and the steam/hammam was excellent and open really late. we really can't fault our stay, fully recommended, and well worth the price. I would add photos to this but they are too large to attach!

The view from the room made our holiday, what a beautiful place. How lovely to sit on the balcony in the evening with a glass of wine & look out over the sea & Monaco. A fantastic stay that we will never forget. Lovely friendly staff too.

They met my expectations. would suggest they keep adaptors readily available instead waiting for request to be made. Also, i couldn't swim one morning because the water was not heated even though i had requested that i was going to swim

The nicest aspect about this hotel is the location from a view angle and not from a surrounding/utilities angle as the hotel literally has no surroundings.

The hotel was within reason in terms of pricing to stay in Monte-Carlo. Of course it was a little cheaper than others around because it was not in the centre of town. However, the good thng about this hotel was that it provided a shuttle bus down to town & even a pick up. We were unsure what time we wanted to come back, so they suggested we just give them a call an hr in advance & they pick us up. This help saved us time with the parking & looking around whe you are ufamiliar to a place. It was very convenient & the staff were very friendly & helpful indeed. Our room was spectacular which was overlooking down to Monte-Carlo & the night view was amazing. We were even so lucky to catch the fireworks at night. The room could have been a little bigger but still very comfortable. The bed was very comfotable which helped us have a good night sleep after all the sightseeing & travelling. However, breakfast & lunch at the hotel was very expensive. We enjoyed a lovely 3 course dinner out which was 3 times cheaper. Lunch at the hotel was nothing special (i.e. food) but there was the panaramic view. The hotel was quite quiet despite its location just of the juction. However, the junction made it quite dangerous to park the car in front of the hotel. Though after dropping off the car at the hotel the bell boy will help park your car. All in all we enjoyed the stay very much & would recommend it.

Stunning views, esp. if you awake at dawn when Monte Carlo lights are going out and sun is rising; expensive but in Monaco around Grand Prix time there are no bargains; breakfast with that view is a real highlight; the shuttle bus service is very good (and necessary) although we had real problems finding the pick-up location at Monte Carlo rail station;

I mentioned to my husband when I booked the room, that we had a nice sea view. When he saw the view he said he never imagined that a "nice sea view" would be relaxing, magnificent and inspiring. He was very surprised by it's high mountain location and beautiful setting. It was easily accessed from the highway, but it was tricky to get to our conference location in Monaco because of the winding small roads. The hotel does provide shuttle service, but it would be helpful if they provided clearer maps for those who drive themselves (like us).

This hotel is very nice, but a little overpriced given the distance from Monte Carlo. The parking is free on site, but by valet and the lots are pretty cramped. The room was excellent and the view is incredible. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to the Casino in Monte Carlo every hour, but the shuttles stop running at 2330. It would be nice if the shuttles ran a little longer. The only real down side was the breakfast. For 25 Euro you would expect some real variety, but it's basically standard European hotel fare; not worth the price. Unfortunately there isn't much in the way of restaurants or shops near the hotel so you basically have to go to Monte Carlo to do anything. It's also important to note that the "fitness center" isn't much to look at. It basically consists of a couple of cardio machines and a weight bench. All in all, good but not great.

We had a fantastic stay at the Vista Palace. The views are stunning, and although the rooms are a bit tired in decor, they are very clean and each has a balcony facing the sea. The only downside is if you plan to visit Monte Carlo, you have to take a free hotel shuttle each time (about 15 minutes) so can feel a bit removed. There is nothing walkable from the hotel at all, so dining options are limited unless you want to pay hotel prices always. For the value, however, it is fantastic, especially compared to Monaco itself.

Fantastic hotel, perched on the mountainside looking down over Monaco - stunning views. The hotel is *not* located in Monaco but there is a free shuttlebus to and from the MonteCarlo casino that goes every hour (takes about 15 mins) If travelling there by train, make sure you arrange in advance for the shuttle bus to pick you up from the station in Monaco. Highly recommended!

This is an amazing hotel. The actaul room itself was fine, but the balcony and the views were spectacular! The hotel sits out over a cliff and you have views of Monte Carlo and Monaco as well as other small towns and the mediterranean sea all around you. The pool area is absolutely gorgeous as well. We had one of the best dinners of our stay in the French Riviera at the restaurant at the hotel. The service and the food were impeccable. We also had lunch at the restaurant on the outside terrace. Again, the food was delicious and the views - incredible! The entire time the staff was so pleasant and professional. We didn't lack for anything! We would highly recommend the Vista Palace.

Needed to change dates of stay on one room 2 days before the stay, but Venere Customer service said contact hotel directly. Spoke to hotel desk but was not sure if they would really make the change. found it quite difficult to make this small change, and was concerned I would be charged some kind of large service charge.

I was very pleased with the hotel, the views were stunning. The only problem was that arriving at the railway station there was no taxi rank! I had to ask a police officer to get me a cab since I was stranded. It is presumed you are arriving by car or helicopter!
