Travelling independently,we knew from internet research that the hotel was some considerable distance out of Rome, lying outside the ring road in a suburb called La Giuistiana. However, the time taken to travel to and from Rome itself was significant. A free shuttle was available from the hotel to the local train station, La Giustiniana, from 8am to 10am and from 6pm to 8pm. During the duration of our stay, the train from La Giustiniana to Valle Aurella (from where the metro into the main tourist areas of Rome) was not only late on each occasion, but was packed- standing room only. The story was the same for leaving Rome, which, after a long day of sight seeing, was rather tiring. The Hotel is on the same side of the city as the Vatican, so journey times weren't too long, (though we often stood for the duration of the trip) but a trip from a site further afield, such as The Colosseum tended to take around an hour (standing mainly) Our large room was bright and airy with a comfortable king sized bed and a modern well equipped shower room. Breakfast, for our 4 day stay was adequate. The hotel had a restaurant (closed one evening a week) which we didn't try, making the 800 m walk or so to La Giustiniana itself where 3 restaurants could be found. Perhaps driving into Rome might have taken less time, but judging by the regular traffic jams on Via Cassia, I doubt it.

We had an awesome stay at Veio Park Hotel. I would recommend this place to anyone willing to be a bit out central Rome. It is ideal for people renting a car as it is an easy drive to the historic district from the hotel. We took public transport during our stay which meant a ~40 minute metro ride to the Forum. Shorter to some parts of Rome. We arrrived a early and they opened our room for an early check in. They have a shuttle that will bring you to the station in La Guistinia that runs for a few hours in the morning and at night. But it is a short walk or bus ride and you can catch it right outside the hotel. The staff were very helpful. There are some great local restaurants and a great pizza place down the street that is open late. Breakfast was included and has everything you could want. Cheese, meats, yogurt, coffee, breads, cereals, ect. Our room was extremely clean and well kept. Shower was strong and had hot water.(standing shower.) windows open to a nice view. overall this was the best hotel in our three city stay, including a 5 star hotel in Venice.

The elevator should be remade (it is small, old and slow). The welcome was very nice but the smell of the Italian gentleman at the reception was not very good

The staff is very pleasant and ready to help each time. Negative that it is very far away from the historical center.

After staying in a supposed 3 star hotel in Naples, this hotel was a breath of fresh air. It seemed far more than a 3 star hotel, and all 3 of us were very impressed. The staff at reception were more than happy to give us guidance on where to visit in Rome, and also the different methods of getting there. The room was beautiful, spacious and clean, and the on-suite showeroom / toilet was very spacious too. Also, wireless internet was available free of charge, and it worked very well. I would definitely recommend it.

Good Hotel in the suburbs of Rom. For this price, there should be fresh bred at the breakfast and not only sandwich bred. On the website of the hotel it is said "the possibility of reaching Rome's historical centre in just a few minutes using the surface subway situated quite close-by". But to tell the truth, starting from the hotel, you need at least 1.15 hour to reach the center of Rom with public transports. And in the evening, public transports are rare after 22:00 !
