Hard to believe one has to pay for wi fi at such an upscale hotel. We stayed at lessor hotels and had free Internet. In general, the front desk staff was very nonchalant in welcoming guests. No smiles or kind words of welcome.

Beautiful room and bathroom, loved the furnishings, comfortable bed with enough pillows, view out of the window, everything worked well, very clean. Hotel was very elegant, professional friendly staff who all spoke English. Location was perfect for a walk along the Via Veneto, a stop at nearby Harry's Bar, Hard Rock Cafe Rome or any of the nearby Italian Restaurants. Close to the Villa Borghese for an early morning walk in the surrounding parkland - close also to the Spanish Steps for a spectacular sunset view over Rome and across to St Peters - not to mention the stylish shops which stayed open until 10.00pm - with cafes nearby for a late dinner. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again - ps - we booked 3 nights and this reduced the room rate - well worth it.

The rooms were in the process of renovation, but not completed, especially the carpet. The breakfast was superb and the service was very freindly. In walking distance from many attractions, and near public transportation. A greater selection of English language cable channels would have been nice. My wife and I would highly recommend this hotel to future travellers.

My husband and I were in Rome last year and stayed at a very elegant hotel close by. Bringing the children this year meant an added room so the Savoy was perfect. The rates were more reasonable without forfeiting quality, service or vicinity to attractions. The staff was always friendly and willing help where ever possible. We were there in August which is a busy tourist season, but I understand a lot of residents are away on holiday. A room on the fifth floor I am sure added to the quietness, which was fine with all of us. I would definitely stay at the Savoy again with or without the children.

The hotel is well situated and pretty much does what it claims to. The area surrounding is pricey for eating but you may want to take a wander further afield to eat. Eating in the hotel is good and appeared well priced. The only bug bear is that the hotel appears to have a bar/coffee shop but when stayed (late march) it did not seem to be the case. The breakfast buffet is good and sets you up for a day of touring. The rooms are big enough and it was clean.

The room was comfortable enough. However, our room was adjacent to the elevator (519),and was very noisy. The location was very central to sites within walking distance, as well as the Metro for more distant attractions.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Savoy Hotel Rome. I stayed at this hotel 10 years ago & the refurbishments have been tastful & the staff still as attentive. The hotels fixed price transfer to the airport was very good. If my stay had been longer it would have been great if there had been some gym/leisure facilities on site.
