Polo Hotel - Rome

El Hotel está bien, creo que un poco caro, pero muy limpio y tranquilo, con un buen servicio y rico desayuno. Un tanto aburrido para nosotros (pareja joven), en general habían sólo huéspedes bastante mayores. Tiene una buena terraza pero no se puede aprovechar porque no hay ni una sóla silla. Ojo que está alejado del centro y de las zonas turísticas, en un barrio residencial y tranquilo, pero se puede llegar rápidamente en metro (estación Flaminio) y luego combinar con tranvía hasta estación Pza. Euclide que está a unas 3-4 cuadras del hotel.

A good ballance of quality and price. A very quite and pleasant surrounding. A taxi station right behind the hotel, so it took only 1 minute for a taxi to arrive and pick us up. And it was always 7-9 Euro to go downtawn. Once we walked from the Hotel to P-za della Popolo and it took us 25 minutes. The walk was great because we went through Villa Borghese (right next to the hotel) and there are a lot of things to see there and enough shade to survive the walk even in July. The room was clean, cool and dark... The neighbours were noisy, but since you will hardly find a hotel in Italy where the walls are thick enough it's more a question of luck: what guests are there in the next rooms. There was no internet station available though it is noted in the description of the hotel. Wi-fi in the room costs 10 Euro. The breakfast is continental. We always had choice and never left hungry. By the way, there is no need to drink the coffee from the jar that is available on the breakfast table. The natural italian coffee is included in your breakfast and you should just ask the waiter about it.

First problem was the request of a DOUBLE room with TWO BEDS. We were assigneed a "good" room with ONE double bed. Check-in person said that DOUBLE room always meant ONE DOUBLE BED. We got a less good room with TWO BEDS. I believe our request (on phone or email) was also for a bathtub; but we got only a shower. The shower was virtually impossible: It was too small to bend in; there was no place to put the glass vial of soap--or a soap bar. This was the hotel's worst feature, and made the stay there very arduous. Restaurant was good.
