Great location! Breakfast was the best we had in Italy. Dinner in their resteraunt was also great. The Irish Pub (1/2 block) was our "hang-out" for pizza and drinks and people-watching. Would definately return.

Good location in the middle of Rome, just over a block from the Republicca metro stop and within walking distance of the Termini train station. Room was very, very small, but the bathroom was large. If you like very contemporary decor in a great location in Rome, the La Griffe is a good choice.

The room was quite small, even if clean and well furnished. It didn't have a window to outside: the only window was on an internal fire stair.

We were upgraded to a junior suite, thus room was very spacious duplex. Nice bathroom (jacuzzi bath), large TV, clean all around. The downside was that we ordered a cup of espresso via roomservice, and they charged 10 euro for service fee~! (Espresso was 3 euros...) Otherwise, excellent rooms and nice staff.

The hotel was in general as I had expected. Didn't experience any inconvenience, the staff were helpfull, the room not too big but modern and clean, the bed so good and quite enough in spite of the noisy street. Considering the hotel prices in Rome I guess the hotel is of good value for money

I loved everything about Hotel La Griffe and would definitely consider staying there again should I ever go back to Rome. My only disappointment was the lack of a fitness facility (except for those in the suites) and that I couldn't get a cup of coffee in the morning without having to pay the 20 EURO fee for breakfast. Overall, I was satisfied.

Excellent stay in a beautiful hotel. The only negative aspect is that the reception called us 5 minutes after check-out time. It seemed they wanted to kick us out!!

There was stuff at the help desk who did not have any answer. there was no possibility to iron a shirt. the internet did not work, but we did not need to pay afterwards. there was somewhat too much music in the floors at afternoon. there was no information about the hotel facilities in the room. the rooms were nice, clean and spacious. the shower wall was defect. all in all there were details missing.

Tried to fob us off with tiny room with two single beds, when we'd paid for double; had to produce Venere print-out to get them to stop arguing. Took three days to get internet service working, including such amusing experiences as sending us a technician whose job was to change light bulbs. Overall attitude was to argue and do as little work as possible.

Beautiful hotel, rooms were a bit small, but the quality of the fittings and the modern decor made up for it. Friendly staff and helpful. Great shower! Good location and close enough to the train station, but not too close. Would definitely recommend it.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the bed linen was excellent. The bed was in a mezzanie at the top of a flight of glass stairs. The bath/shower was a corner bath with a wall mounted shower head, no shower curtain so the water went on the floor but the bathroom was so big that nothing else got wet. Airconditioning was excellent, breakfast was good. The sitting room area was a waste as the TV was upstairs but it was a nice touch.

It was an absolute poor performance of the Hotel. Getting first of all a very small room (approx. half a meter arround the bed) we complained and got a "Junior Suite" fortunately without a window to the street. We had the hope of a silence room. That was ok. but the temp. was approx. 28 Deg.C. and it tooks the staff three days to inform us that the AirCon was not working (and they where knowing well). Only after big complains we got a new small room with a window to the street. Now we had a real loud room but on the other hand the temperature was acceptable when the window was open! We will not chose this Hotel again !!!

Although La Griffe is a great hotel - a very modern and luxury place - we had a few complaints: the sink was leaking water (even into the bedroom), toiletpaper was missing, breakfast was not as luxury as the hotel/rooms and slow check out due to the fact that they had a hard time to understand and calculate our Venere discount (also they did not act very friendly at check out).

The room was hot and airless! we even changed the room, but conditions did NOT change! - no window to the streets, just to an air condition funnel - after heavy discussions about turning on the air condition, they told us (after 1 day) that air condition does not work in winter i was clearly disappointed with the heat and the airlessness AND the poor support from the reception in improving our situation

Hotel LaGriffe was a very nice stay in central Rome! It was close enough to walk to several of the main tourist attractions. Our main complaint was the size, location and temperature of the first room we were given. We were allowed to check into our room @ 1015, which was nice given the posted check-in time is 1500. We walked into the room, and it was SO HOT! We tried to turn down the thermostat, but it only went down a couple of degrees and stopped. We went to open the window to get some cool air and discovered our only window opened up to some sort of indoor fire escape! So we had no access to outside air and couldn't leave the window open while not in the room, for fear of someone walking in! Also, the bed was a nice size, but took up 80% of the room! We had just enough walking space to go around the bed and that was all. We informed the front desk about the temp of our room, and they supposedly turned off our heater. We left for the day and on our return, our room was hotter than ever! We complained to the front desk, who moved us across the hall. This room had an outside window, but was VERY noisy because of street traffic. But, at least it was cool! The rest of our trip was without incident, and we enjoyed our stay, which was our 10th wedding anniversary!

Good location, very close to the train station, and just a 1 minute walk to the Metro Station. The rooms are rather small, If you bring to suit cases, we have to leave one on the floor. When you pay 200,00 Euros per night you expect something more. However the decoration of the rooms was great, modern style. The breakfast was rather poor, not too much to choose from. Dinner at the hotel was Ok, nothing too special. The next day we went across the street to Zeus restaurant, much higher quality and better price. If I ever come back to Rome, I might stay there again, however in a suite.

This is one of the best experiences I had in Rome’s' hotels. Very different in its exclusiveness, high standards of cleanliness and service, room was very specious and felt a real treat in the noisy busy via Nazionale. Would definitely come back and stay in this hotel in the future. Thanks.

I would say we can be quite critical of accomodation and service and were sceptical even though previous reviews read positively. We spent four nights at la Griffe and every moment in the hotel was pleasurable. Right from the initial introduction the staff were very courteous and genuinely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We were always last for breakfast and the team looked after us as if we were their first guests of the morning. The rooms were very clean and soundproofed from the busy street below. The surrounding area was safe and most of the tourist attractions were within a brisk walk. The furthest was the Vatican at 45 mins for 30 somethings. We could'nt fault this hotel and enjoyed our stay tremendously. If you are an opera fan then La Griffe is situated right next door to a small and popular opera house. Trevi fountain is a 5 min taxi run where your find some excellent restaurants. We would definately return to this hotel.
