Our stay was good. The breakfast was excellent. Sound from other rooms tended to be disturbing. Internet wireless connection was lousy. Easy to connect with buses and trains. Overall value was good.

My brother and I stayed here for five days. The rooms were clean, the staff nice, and the breakfast great. The only downside to this hotel is the location. It is close to the domatilla catacombs and that is it! You have to take a 1/2 hour bus ride to get downtown and the bus is not always reliable so it can easily turn into wait 1/2 and hour and then another 1/2 hour on the bus. The price was great though and in our budget. The bus is cheap so that is good. A taxi from downtown to the hotel is just under $20 euros so we only did that once.

It was my first trip in a foreign country along with my boyfriend. Every thing they told us about the hotel was true. The best thing about it, was the great location and how easy it was to get to Rome City Center using public transportation. Taking bus 716 kai 714 we went everywhere. It was very easy. The receptionist also gave us a map of the Center and gave us very good information. Breakfast was also very beautiful an the service great. Room was very clean and had all the comfort that we needed for 6 nights. The money we gave for staying at Kolping Hotel was value for money. We reccomend this hotel for every use.

this was one of the best stays on our trip. Though it was located far from city center but was at walking distance from nearest bus station from where you can get bus every 5-10 mins. Hotel Owners are very friendly and helped us with all information we need. They have breakfast for 6 euros which is quite good rate for Rome. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay again if get a chance to visit Rome again.

We have stayed three nights. Breakfast was teasty and contains beside sweet things also ham, eggs and cheese. Catacumbs are in walking distance. There is also a bus 716 which takes you to the metro station or center.

Average breakfasts (3x the same choice, no vegetables at all, no warm plates e.g. eggs etc). Thin partition walls - hearing neighbours early in the morning. Poor room service - missing toilet paper (1 day), broken bulb (all 3 days although placed on the table top for two days!!!) Bad description on voucher if you arrive from the airport/by bus (bus stops hidden even for experienced orienteering racer ;-)) - much better in the written hotel document (but too late). Actually by experience the best to/from the city is to reach Metro Garbatella by foot - not far and through picturesque district. In general, Roman buses are pain - just a lottery... In general - not a good place for tourists eager to experience the nightlife - way too far/bad connection. Once at home - almost no chance to change and go back ;-) Very friendly receptionist Nicola - mille grazie!!!

Alergen Free Experience. Big Rooms , No-smoking Big and Well decorated. Nicola is a great Receptionist and will help you with everything, specially if you`re portuguese speaking. The breakkfast is awesome. Very near downtown just walk to piazza navigatore and take the bus. For the price it`s the best hotel you can get. We were very pleased.

The directions listed on the confirmation were extremely poor..We arrived by train, and it simply told us to take the Garbetella exit, with no other directions...We expected the hotel to be very near the station, yet it was not.

Our room was quite charming. It was clean and quiet. The breakfast offered gave a good start for our day. The directions to the hotel could have been better. Basically you get off the boat, take a right on the street in front of you and keep walking until you see the sign pointing the direction for the hotel. The hotel will be a block down that road on the left side. There are not any other signs, so you need to look for the address (or take a picture with you). Lido is fun to explore but we did not find any restaurants, other than pizzarias. There are no public spaces except for the dining room and an outside dining area.

Liked the place very much. The room was of generous size for a Roman hotel, the staff was friendly and competent. Overall, an excellent experience. I would highly recommend the place to fellow travellers to Rome. An excellent value for the $.

I did look at the ratings before I chose Casa Domitilla. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend this hotel and Venere for bookings. One feature, which was not available throughout Italy was an elevator. We slept 3 in our room - 3 twin beds and unfortunately 5 suite-cases +. It made the room a little tight, but was manageable. Lesson learned ... Travel through Italy with less baggage. We also were very fortunate that every need we needed (we traveled with 11 family members) was met. We stayed 3 days and traveled throughout Rome by public bus system. We did use the cabs late at night. (One night, the rotation of 3 filled buses ... we decided to get a cab). The office staff (spoke English) was more than helpful and gave us good tips. I suggest ... don't be shy ... ask questions. The only area I can not speak on is dinner (we did smell the aroma one night - it smelled wonderful) ... we never made it back in time ... Breakfast was plentiful and the granola served was wonderful. Your choices are breakfast cereals, fresh baked croissants (if your lucky you might get a filled one), bread, toast, slices of cheese & meat, choice of juices, milk, coffee, fresh fruit, etc. Compared to different places we stayed in Rome, this was a wonderful surprise.

I was very pleased indeed with the accomodation and services provided by Casa Domitilla. I thought the price was very reasonable for the high quality accomodation. The staff were extremely helpful at all times. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the city but there is a good bus service - good clear information is provided at the hotel reception and tickets can be bought from there.

Whilst the standard given by the maids and other 'hidden' staff was exceptional. The reception staff were mute, unhelpful and more interested in private telephone conversations on both mobile and hotel phones.

Casa Domitilla is an excellent facility at a reasonable price. Although it is somewhat outside of the city center, since I am a frequent visitor to Rome and have become accustomed to taking public transportation, I enjoy every stay at Casa Domitilla. It is comfortable, quiet and very clean.
