Rooms are decent, but nothing more than that. Services are very poor: bath towel set is incomplete, breakfast is not acceptable in quality and variety, breakfast area is always very messy. No public areas except the breakfast area. Free parking is available as announced, but in the street (!), not in a real parking. Internet access costs 7 euro per day (!) and is very poor. I'll be back there only in case I have no alternate solutions...

The hotel is ok and convenient for a few days. The room was big. The hotel is located in a shopping centre and the area is a bit noisy (at night, it is a sort of meeting point for teenagers). They could not speak very good English.

Description of the hotel was OK, except for the information about the parking. The hotel does not have its own parking places. But there are many public parking places in front of the hotel building so it was not hard to find a place to park. Price is €1.5 per day. In August, when we were there, nobody showed up to collect the fee. It is not possible to walk to the subway station. It is not far away but there are walking paths. You have to use one of the buses (it is only 1 station ride and there are multiple bus lines you can use, so the waiting time should not be long)

The hotel is generally fine, although breakfast is far from being italian. The location of the hotel is probably its worst feature. I paied 60 euros for the night, but I had to pay 14 extra euros to move from the hotel to the metro by taxy. According to he Hotel web page, the location is "700 metres away from the metro". In practice though, it is very difficult to get from the metro to the hotel, spetially if you were a suitcase. For various reasons those 700 meters are NOT WAKABLE. I was told there is shuttle that goes from the hotel to the metro. However, when I asked to take it, it was full and the next one departed much later.

Nice and user-friendly hotel with helpful staff in the suburb of Rome. Breakfast and parking are included in the price. Good heating system. A perfect week-end stay to visit Rome by Metro. Anagnina metro station is just 700 meters away from the hotel. Metro station has a parking facility for your car.

A somewhat remote part of Rome-30 Euro trip from Termini-staff a little remote and not too helpful-not much available in the way of restaurants in easy walking distance-didn't appear a particularly safe area after dark. On the plus side, the room was fine-relatively new and-for Europe-fairly spacious. Well appointed and comfortable. Perfectly adequate for a one-night stay. Fine bathroom. Not so good for an extended stay.

Very clean room and hotel in general but cigarette smoke smell still lingers a bit. Excellent breakfast included in price. Easy to find off the Raccordo and fair shopping plaza attached with a Supermarket too! Didn't attempt to go into the city but it suited my purpose for being close to the Raccordo to get to the Fumicino airport the next morning. The staff were extremely helpful, kind and went beyond their duties to make my very short stay pleasant and carefree. BRAVI!!!

although it is close public transportation, its location, mainly at night, it is not good, there is no restaurants or places to go close to the hotel, and we did not feel safety to go out at night. There is facilities to make shop because there is a small mall just in the same building.

We were very happy with the service at this hotel. However, the only directions we had with us were from our confirmation print out from the website. These directions were totally inadequate and we got lost finding the hotel. Fortunately an angel in the local area left her store and had us follow her car, and she got us right to the hotel. In the future we will never travel without a proper map or satellite navigation system. However, the directions could have been better and avoided this problem. For example, the directions said "follow the hotel signs," but there never were any hotel signs along the road. It would have been better to say "the hotel is located behind the IKEA store," since it is impossible to miss that!

Very nice and new hotel. Friendly service, clean rooms with modern furnishings. The hotel provides an excellent breakfast with many choices, however; there is no lunch or dinner in the hotel. The major problem with this hotel is the location. It is located in an industrial area and is rather unappealing. Yes, there is a shopping mall adjacent to the hotel where you can find many stores, but no full service restaurant. For only one night it is a good value for the price. I would not stay there if you plan on visting Rome -- it's too far (45 minutes to an hour)depending on traffic and which part of the city you want to visit.

The hotel is situated in a commercial area, very functional, basically a roof over the head. Staff did their job but without any flair of hospitality. Best hotel breakfast we had in Italy. Route description to hotel very poor, on approach to Hotel look for the shopping centre with the big IKEA sign, this is where you must head towards. Once close by, look for the MacDonalds on the corner of a nearby centre, the hotel name is not well displayed on the building and about 50 metres from MacDonalds. Tv/Internet etc as advertised is in room but costs you extra (the package appr 12.00). Surrounds are totally dead, travelling to chaotic central Rome takes close to an hour. Tours offered to Colosseum and Vatican take you to take pictures of the outside of buildings but not inside.

According to some reviews there is no restaurant near the hotel, but this is not true. We found an excellent restaurant/pizzeria called "Il Punto". Unlike most restaurants in Rome, you will not find any tourists here. We were the only foreigners present, while the restaurant was nearly full. Understanding no Italian might be a problem because the menu is only available in Italian. Getting there will take you appr. 15 minutes walking. Just walk from the hotel to the Via Tuscolana and go to the right. Turn right when you reach the traffic lights. That's the Via Gasperina. You'll find the restaurant on your right at the corner of the Via Gasperina and the Via Cropani. You can also take bus 506 for 3 stops, get off at stop Gasperina/Pentone. If you plan to stay at this hotel, bear in mind that it takes you about an hour to get to the centre of Rome, and that you'll probably have to stand all the way (and back) in a crowded bus and metro. Although this hotel is fine, I don't think that I would return because of the distance from the city centre.

The hotel is quite nice and clean. Very modern rooms more that enought Beds were a bit hard but ok. The breakfast was excellent, all you can eat buffet and the barista makes the best expresso that I had in Italy. Location is a bit a of a problem. The metro station is very out of the way and you cannot walk to it. THey were very nice and did offer to drop us off and pick us up though, but this can be hit or miss because the van can be booked and not there. YOu must take the bus to the metro. The hotel is the last stop on the metro and it is packed after 5 pm unitl 8 pm. Check to see if they are doing construction and the metro closes at 11 pm > A cab ride is 25 euro from the center of rome and this is with out us calling but going to a cab stand. Do not call for a cab because they charge you when you call and there can be a 11 to 15 euro charge before you even start. The hotel staff is nice enough but some don't speak english. The hotel is in a mall and there is nothing near it except the mall. There are no restaurants. They bell boy was nice enough to recomend a place and offered to drive us as well. It was called Steak and Pizza and it was excellent. Overall I would say this is great hotel, but I would want one closer to Rome and closer to a metro station. Do not walk to the metro, we did and it is very dangerous. YOU must cross a highway and there are no side walks. Great price for a double. we paid 105e a night in OCt.

Canadian couple stay 4 nights at the mid Sep/06. The adv. in the web page is misleading- 700m from the metro. In between there is a highway divided, there is impossible to walk to the hotel. If you want to take the public transport is not working, no, never, impossible. I have to give them a low grade because I have to use to metro. If you get your own transport is good, the hotel is attached to a shopping mall. You get everthing you need. The employee is not very helpful.

Hotel Anagnina was modern, very clean and excellent value. IKEA and shopping centre next door. I would recommend this property to anyone. Inclusive breakfast excellent - eggs and bacon along with cereal etc. However it requires a bus, no 46, from Anagnina metro station as it is not possible to walk from the metro station as you need to cross a very large ring road. We used this as a base to explore Rome, but it takes almost 45 minutes to walk to the bus stop, get the bus to the metro, get the metro to downtown Rome. You need to consider that time if you want to go into and out of Rome. Also the nearest pizzeria to the hotel is a 15 minute walk. However, a 3 day bus and Metro ticket is 11 Euro - great value. All in all a very good value hotel. Recommended.

We were generally delighted with our stay at the Hotel. The location albeit a little out of central Rome had a number of pluses for us. The cost was a critical factor and this was one of a few hotels which met our budget limitations. We were finally persuaded on this choice by the positive, up-to-date reviews from other guests. Travelling into Rome centre was easy and incredibly inexpensive. We were able to purchase travel tickets at the hotel reception. Our enquiry at reception about buses back to Ciampino Airport resulted in their offer of courtesy transportation which we gladly accepted. Despite there being no hotel restaurant facilities in the evening there is an excellent restaurant only 700 metres away. We also noticed some other guests bringing take-away pizza back to the hotel. Our only suggested improvement at the hotel to suit our needs would be for a better lounge/bar area. All of the staff, with the exception of the barman on duty two of our three evenings, were very friendly and most helpful. We especially enjoyed the breakfasts which gave us a surprisingly extensive choice. We would not hesitate to return and would recommend the hotel to anyone happy to travel 30 minutes each way to and from the city centre. If like us you are on a strict budget you can even purchase items for a packed lunch from the supermarket next door.

It was - all about - a nice stay in Rome. But: the rooms are climated - in summer necessary - in winter very warm. The windows are not to be opened wide. And the surrounding is loud. The Hotel is situated besides a parking place and near a high traffic road. The next metro station is only 500 metres, but only reachable by shuttle or bus. It takes you to the city about 45 min. Breakfast was o. k., if you relate it to the fact, that Italians don't have breakfast.

we had a very enjoyable time in rome and the hotel all though out of the way and involved travel into the centre was a pleasant stay. the breakfast choice was extremely good with every taste catered for. the breakfast set us up for the day and we didnt eat again until the evening either in the centre of rome or at a restaurant close to the hotel. the hotel does not have a restaurant. when you arrive a the airport take a bus direct to the bus station at anagnina then a bus 40, 504, 507 or 509 for 2 stops to the hotel bus stop, the hotel is in a shopping centre. this fare is 1 euro plus 1 euro for a large suitcase. to go into the centre of rome catch the bus on the other side of the dual carriageway and take the same number buses 1 stop only to the anagnina bus station. get off at this stop and take the metro (line A red) to where you need to go possibly the termini where you can catch the (B line blue) or any other bus from the bus station next to the metro station at the termini. you will need a ticket for the bus which you can buy at the tobbaconist just up from the bus stop - they sell the 3 day travel passes also. once you have mastered the travel arrangements it is fine the hotel being out of the way because wherever you go in rome you will need to travel, and their transport system which is relatively cheap compared to england is very good. the hotel is clean, spacious and offers everything you need except a dinner menu so eat before you go back to the hotel or eat at a restaurant near the hotel. i will stay here again on my next trip to rome and recommend it highly.

The hotel was 8 km from the Ciampino Airport and we were told to take the city bus to get there. After waiting over an hour for this bus we decided to share a taxi with another couple that needed to get to the metro station, which was only a block away from our hotel. The taxi driver quoted us 30 Euro for 4 people, but he drove right past our hotel to the metro station. When we asked to be dropped off at the hotel, he said ok, but when we got there he wanted to charge us another 50 euro for the 2nd stop. We refused. We arrived at the hotel at 11:15pm and our check-in went smoothly. The hotel was clean and newer, but it's much smaller than the web-site pictures lead you to believe. We were also told that they had non-smoking rooms, but when we asked for one, they said they didn't have any. There was also a slight mildew odor coming from the bathroom. The hotel is located in an industrial area, so the surroundings are not very pleasant. There was a dumpster area right outside our window, fortunately we were only staying there for 1 night. The breakfast buffet was fine and there is a mall just a few doors down, but overall I would have to give this hotel 2-2.5 *'s. We've stayed in much nicer hotels than what we paid for this one.

This is a hotel far away from the city center. It will take almost one hour to get to the rail way station, including the time on the metro, the time on the bus, and the time waiting for the bus. Moreover the metro of Rome stops at 9 pm. Although after that, there will be a bus service following the metro route, the time almost doubles. The final bus from the terminal metro station to the hotel is 12 pm (it is impossible for a tourist to find the way back to the hotel by foot). So you can't stay in the downtown very late. It is not easy to find the cafeteria around the shopping center. There is one in IKEA, next door to the center, which is very good. The breakfast in the hotel is terrific. It is the best breakfast I had in Italy. The room is really up to the 4 star standard. So there is no problem for the interior of the hotel.

The hotel and staff was excellent,so as the breakfast provided. The only disadvantage is the location of the hotel. It is far from the centre, though the metro station is near so traveling during the day is easy and fast. It causes problems only if one wants to go out at night...

This hotel was nice, but not 4 stars! The breakfast was excellent!!! The only one we stayed at in Europe with scrambled eggs!!! The hotel staff seemed more interested in talking on their cell phones than helping us, but it is close to the bus stop that takes you to the metro. Don't expect the bathrobes from the picture, my husband was disappointed! They do have free parking, which is a big plus, but it is far from the center of the city so the ride on the metro is kind of long. If we are ever in Rome again, we would probably stay here if we had a car but if not we might find something closer to the city center b/c if you ever want something to eat late at night, nothing is in walking distance.

The hotel was a good choice for a first visit to Rome although it was unfortunate that the metro was being repaired resulting in the last train being 9pm. The hotel was very comfortable with an excellent breakfast choice, It was a little far outside of the city centre although when getting to the metro station had been mastered, this wasn't too much of a problem for a short stay. Overall it was very good.

For a quiet, self-directed stay in Rome the Anagnina is almost indescribably superb. Take the airport bus to and from Ciampino for a fraction of the taxi price. To move around Rome buy a one day/three day/weekly ticket for bus and underground and the whole city is open to you. Country buses take you to the hinterland - try a day in Frascati. The hotel staff speak excellent English and are models of courtesy and helpfulness. Breakfasts are buffet-style and lavish. For evening meals a wonderful restaurant lies within walking distance. For Scandinavian meals IKEA is next door. A huge supermarket is in the shopping mall attached to the hotel.

We had booked this hotel based on the users comments and its worth staying in this hotel with respect to the rooms and especially great breakfast. Thought its little bit outside the city centre still it was good. But sometimes the metro services closes early then we got to really travel a long way from terminal to this hotel. But its worth a stay.

The entire stay was excellent, with the exception of one man at reception on the morning of our departure who wasn't nearly as welcoming as the rest of the staff, and the coffee on the breakfast buffet wasn't Italian coffee at all - but then the bar was right there. Overall, we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel as excellent value for money.

New property on Rome outskirts with attached shopping mall, with many clothing shops and substantial supermarket. One stop bus to Anagnina then half hour metro ride,(one Euro)to central Rome.Metro if returning before 9pm,MA1 bus if after. Both terminate at Anagnina then Circulare bus back to hotel. After midnight get taxi to hotel.Good size room (air con)but maintenance a bit slack for four star hotel.Good breakfast, juices, cereals, meats, cheeses, cakes and cappuccino. All in all, good value for Rome.

Overall the hotel was excellent. Public transportation was not bad getting into town, we did not mind riding the subway. The american breakfast was very good and the service was good. My group could not speak the language but the hotel staff tried very hard to communicate. It was also nice to have a shopping mall next door. If you have the commute time this is a very nice clean affordable hotel I recommend it highly and I would stay there again.

This was a fine place -- outside of Rome central BUT the bus which you take to the subway is right out front of the hotel. Many restaurants right near by in walking distance.

The hotel seems very new, very clean, attached to a mall where you can find food, and a grocery store. The Metro stop is fairly close by, a 5 euro cab ride to the subway that costs 1 euro one way to Rome Termini versus a 30 euro cab ride to downtown Rome. Its situated a longer distance from Rome than I thought. The cab ride to the airport from here although a shorter distance than to Rome cost us 62 Euro. FYI. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The room was high tech for us, we could never get the air conditioning to work though. It was a good value for the money.

Hotel very new and clean. Very good bathroom. Spacious room and quiet surroundings. Good shopping center next to the hotel. Excellent breakfast comparing to Italian standards. Near from Cine Citta, the Italian Hollywood and a big Mall. I do recommend it. Edelcio Sardano - Brazil

Excellent hotel with excellent staff. Only problem is that you need to take the bus to get to the metro station of Anagnina because you need to cross 2 freeways

I booked two different dates to stay, the first for 2 days, the second time for one day. The first stay we had no Internet or access to movies a told we would have. Having Internet access was a large reason for staying at this hotel, and felt that some type of discount tshould have applied after they could not get the Internet working. The second stay was excellent, and realy liked the idea of the location at a shopping mall. The front desk personnel were excellent as well... very helpful.

All triple rooms are just double rooms with an additional bed at the end of the oher two beds. Anyway the manager did his best to overcome this problem. The hotel is clean, breakfast is good and I can suggest this hotel for single or double rooms.

The facilities did not match my expectations of a 4star hotel. This is not a good choice for tourists using public transport. The necessity to catch a bus to get to the metro is one trip to many. The staff were very helpful and the rooms were fine.

It was a bit difficult to find the location of the Hotel once we arrived at the Anagnina terminal. I was under the impression that we could walk to the hotel, but we actually had to take a taxi the first time and once we arrived at the hotel we were able to figure out the bus system. It would be nice if the bus information was provided on your website. Overall, the hotel is great and the staff is awesome!

We were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. The hotel staff was very helpful. Free parking was a plus although it was not secure. We did park right outside the hotel door. The American-style breakfast was more than adequete. You could buy tickets for transportation to Roma at the front desk. We took a bus to the train station and then a half hour train ride into Roma. Being next to a mall was also a plus. I will stay here again.

Our stay at Anagnina was great! We stayed at the hotel for 5 days over Christmas and the hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. The hotel and the hotel rooms were immaculate (very, very clean). I think the hotel was constructed last summer (2004), so everything is very new. The breakfast buffet was exceptionally nice and the cappucinos were delicious! The only drawback is that we did not have a car and were a bit far from the city center/tourist sights. For example, to reach Vatican City, we had to take a bus from the hotel to the metro station (5 minutes) and then take the metro (at least 35 minutes). I would definitely recommend this hotel, but keep in mind it is outside the city center. Also, there is a great steak and pizza restaurant about 5-10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Also to be recommended!
