We wanted a straightforward connection from Rome airport to the termini and then to hotel. For this the Washington was ideal(a 5 minute walk from the station). Reception was helpful (they offered to let us see rooms and gave us a choice) friendly and they gave us a room at 7am after a long flight from Australia. We stayed overnight en route to northern Italy and it suited brilliantly for that. The rooms are modest but quiet and spotlessly clean and good value for money.

this hotel was very close to the train station and city centre, clean room if a little smelly of smoke, service was fine, breakfast good if you get up early (things tend to go quickly)will use this hotel again when back in rome, only problem is its alittle expensive for what you get.

has a good location, but could be classed as a dodgy area, staff were friendly, however if you stay here do not stay near the reception as it is real noisy. Walls are real thing

The property in Rome is so close to Termini station that it made it easy for us coming and going that way. The rooms were clean and small but very adequate. The service was good and since we were there on very hot days, the air conditioning was invaluable. I have been to Rome many times and for the price and location this was very nice. I would stay there again.

definitely, that hotel requires a huge work to make windows, doors and walls decently sound-proof.

the hotel is not on the main sstreet but is in an alley so I missed it the first few times which with heavy luggage after a long flight isn't so good-- there ought to be a reference to this on the website map that was presented. a larger sign on the sstreet would also be elpful. The roon and bathroom were small but typical of this class of Italian hotels. The breakfast menue wasn't extensive but was a typical Italian breakfast. Addition of a greater variety of cheeses would be more nutritious. the location of the hotel very close to the tErmini Station was very useful for a newcomer to the city because of it's location with respect to the subway and bus terminal-- to go home after a long day of tourism I just had to catch one of the many busses that was going to Termini.

It was first stayed at Washington and at Rome. Room was very small for 3 persons, but with basic needs. One day somebody took a smoke in our bathroom ? Last day we had a "nice surprise", because hotel accepted only cash ( mashine was broken??).Be prepared! But anyway if you stay only for few days and need only place to stay hotel is OK.

Great location - 100m from Termini, but the map they provide has the hotel marked in the wrong place. Follow the map to the street and then look for the address number. Our room was in the hotel next to Washington so the photos provided on the website werent appropriate. Our room was quite noisy as we were on the first floor and the tram went straight below out window. However breakfast was plentiful and the rooms clean and well looked after. Would recommend and stay here again.

Excellent location only two blocks from main train station, but easy to miss. (Small sign) Relatively quiet due to inside courtyard windows. Helpful, friendly staff. Small bathroom. Elevator.

Quite noisy, no a/c (you have to pay an extra), but in a very good position if you want to move. Train, buses and underground at hand. Cleaned, but...better have breakfast outside, in a typical Italian bar.

Given that Rome hotels are expensive, this was good value. It could not have been more convenient to the railway station. We were staying only overnight, and it served our needs exactly. The room was large and spotlessly clean, although quite lacking in frills or decoration. We had asked for a double room and were given a king sized bed with an extra twin and another single bed that pulled out of the closet. I suppose this was a fluke. My only complaint was that the breakfast was very skimpy. Coffee, croissants, and cereal were the only offerings. We had stayed at another location a week before for much more money that had a vastly better breakfast, but overall, this was better value. Although in a not very upscale location, and generally noisy, the good windows kept out the noise, and there were several restaurants to choose from close by. I would definitely consider staying there again.

Conveniently situated close to the termini station (5 min walk)where the metro A & B lines intersect. The location map on the web-site is slightly adrift by one block, and the hotel lies behind another row of buildings, accessed via a corridor/walkway. Easily missed when walking past the entrance.Hotel reception is manned 24hrs, so don't worry about arriving late!Be aware if you book twin bedded room 10, it is next to the reception and can be noisy at night with people coming and going!Avoid it if possible. Breakfast is down in basement and area is small. Can be full, if you time it wrong.Staff are pretty friendly, and speak reasonable english. (better than my Italian!). At the time of payment, their visa machine was broken and asked me to pay cash. I trust this was genuine, but have seen it commented on in other hotel write-ups.In the end I settled using credit card "by other means". The immediate area is not particulary attractive, but there are a good variety of restaurants to suit everyones tastes/budgets. Distance from Colosseum, 20min brisk walk. TIP: Buy a "BIG" ticket for 4 euro from a tobacconist. Covers 1 day travel on all metro/buses. Good value!

Excellent room very close to the station and at a very reasonable price. The only thing that needs improving is the standard of Italian TV! :)

I found the Hotel Washington excellent value for money. The room was excellent, spacious, air conditioned, reasonably quiet, kept clean. The breakfast however was basic, croissants, toast biscuits, juice and coffee. Would have appreciated some cereal or even some rolls. The location was excellent, very near the Termini station, so had easy access to Rome's attractions and transfers to and from the hotel were easy. Also located next to some excellent reasonably priced restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke English. All in all an excellent base when visiting Rome although I would have appreciated more choice at breakfast.

A very priceworthy hotel located very centrally close to Rome's main railway station. Clean, and all amenities, including air condition, working well. A little noisy, from internally in the hotel, as our room was next to the reception.
