We were persuaded to book after seeing the roof terrace bar but this was not only closed but the whole roof terrace was closed too even though one day of our stay had excellent weather. We wanted to go up to see the view even though the bar was closed and were disappointed about this. Also had a room near the lifts which were always chiming!! Staff extremely helpful and friendly and hotel was good with a great choice for breakfast.

This is a modern hotel in a nice neighbourhood. It is a short distance out of the main tourist area; in a neighbourhood with apartments. Good restaurants around. Fairly quiet. Hotel is modern, no real character, but good sized room and everything worked as it should. Breakfast was fine. Mix of Italian and foreign guests.

The staff at the front desk was not very friendly or helpful. I have stayed at other hotels where we felt welcome but this is not the way we felt at the Visconti Place. The people servicing our room did a good job.

Excellent location, outside the tourist hustle, but walking distance to most sites, great value for money

We really enjoyed our stay. Only negative was the volume of the TV in the next room on our 2nd night. Criticism of inconsiderate guest rather than the Hotel. Would recommend and would stay again.

Hotel's location is excellent, 10 min by walk to Piazza del Popolo, 15 min by walk to Vatican or Piazza Navona, 20 min by walk to Piazza di Spagna, rich breakfast with variety of food and drinks, spacious room, staff speaks good English, you get much for fair price

The Visconti is a very good hotel. The staff were excellent, helpful in every way. The breakfast is varied and substantial. The location is very good. Most historic sites can be reached on foot.

I found the front desk to be not very helpful. Their usual response was to push a pamphlet or map in front of me and let me figure out how to do what I wanted to do. Also, the basement was not a good choice for a dining room. It was not a pleasant way to begin the day. The doormen and porters, however, were excellent.

Hotel is a good walk to Vatican and accross the bridge to the shopping streets,Spanish stairs, etc. Staff is relatively friendly; breakfast is more than adequate. We used hotel shuttle to the airport 2x, due to our flight connections af 50 EUR each--expensive. We learned that you should stop counting your money if you are in Rome. Just spend it and enjoy the evening at Navena square, and other beatiful places. As far as hotel, we needed to return to Rome for one night and we were charged about 50% of rate we paid for the total of 3 nights before. If the prices were slightly lower we would return to the hotel again. You need to plan ahead.

The hotel is very clean and there is a rich breakfast for italian standards. It is also very quiet, we nearly had no traffic noise. The location is perfect for tourists as Metro and bus stations are very close and you are staying really close to the center. We loved the beautiful roof terrace!

We chose this hotel at the last minute based on the reviews on venere.com and tripadvisor.com. Turned out to be a great value with the buy two nights, get one free promotion -- the room was clean, comfortable, good location, really close to Piazza Cavour (lots of buses) and Sant Angelo. A little bit of a walk from the metro but not bad at all (10-15 mins).

As a single traveller I was put in a half suite. The other half was occupied by different couples during my stay. Every word, every sneezing and snoring could be heard from the adjoining room through a several cm gap on top of the door inbetween. This can not be called privacy or undisturbed!

We stayed a week at the Visconti in Rome. The rooms were a bit small for the price according to American standards, but, the location was very good. The light switches and other rooms equipment took some getting used too, but we managed after a short while. Breakfast in the basement was OK but, I would rather have had a view of something. They are pretty cheap with the ice, almost one cube a day is the ration...

A very nice hotel!!! Traveled with my best friend, and we had a fantastic stay at Visconti Palace. The hotel welcomed us in the best way. The staff was very helpful, and gave us great restaurant-recommendation. We just loved the roof terrasse, the breakfast, and the location of the hotel. My only negative comment is that the housekeeping kept on forgetting to refill important accessories in the bathroom... I will, without a doubt, return to Visconti Palace.

This was a girl friend trip to Europe! This hotel was really clean and staff was very helpful. I wish we were staying longer. I found the hotels we booked on Venere.com honest with their descriptions. Don't expect everyone to speak English, your in Italy! but most did.
