The room was very small; other rooms were much better: larger, with terrace. The breakfast was very good, served by very expert ladies, speaking also foreign languages.

Un albergo splendido, pulito e arredato con gusto. Massima cortesia da parte del personale. Le camere erano pulitissime e riordinate quotidianamente. La colazione direi perfetta. I cornetti li consiglio perché di così buoni non ne ho mai mangiati.

We stayed at this hotel at the end of June 2008. We were delighted. The hotel is small but clean and beautifully decorated. We booked three bedrooms room. The room was nicely furnished and the sofa bed was already made up for our daughter. Only complaint was the sofa bed but was not comfortable and it took almost all the room space. The A/C was very good especially after exploring Rome on 40C The bathroom was very clean but sometimes shower water temperature varied. The breakfast buffet with made with good choice, was served on the clean roof patio (fresh loaf cake, fruit, eggs cereals..). The staff was friendly and helpful. We didn’t have time to book tickets for Sistine Chapel in Vatican, but the young lady from the reception called an agency for a tour trip, and in the last moment everything was done. Even, we got a breakfast before seven o’clock because we were in a hurry for the agency bus which was supposed to pick up us at 7 o’clock. Nothing was big problem for the polite stuff. Metro stop was just a few min walk away, and only ten minutes to get to Coliseum. Ticket price was only 1 euro (the cheapest thing in Italy) although some lines change at Termini had to be done (if going to Vatican, Coliseum, Trevi Fountain). The Termini Station, the second stop, even has a small shopping center open on Sundays until 9 p.m. for the last minute shopping) We would definitely recommend this hotel and would certainly go back if in Rome again.

Found the hotel easily, close to the underground, just two stops from the main Termini station. Hotel staff were very polite. Great choice for breakfast buffet. Room was lovely, clean and impressively furnished. No down points at all. Would recommend travelling to the airport via the train two stops further along than going back to Termini as that journey is half the price as from Termini, although most people would assume that is the link to and from Rome.

This is a honest hotel, nothing fancy but everything is clean and functional, including air conditioned which works flawless. Considering that it is located in a high-traffic area, the fact that the rooms are silent because of the protected location is a big plus. Also, compared to similarly priced hotels in the same area that I have visited before, this is the best I have seen so far.

an excellent hotel - three minutes from a Metro stations (which in its turn is just one stop from the Main railway station Termini). Staff is very helpful and pleasant. Rooms are beautifully furnished. Expectations were fulfilled. The only minus is absence of restaurants close by

It was the first time I stayed at Villa Morgagni. I was pleasantly suprised by a very high standard of the facility, friendly and professional service, and the location. It is relatively close to the city center. The room was very comfortable and quiet.

The relation between price/quality is good if you consider the strategic location and competence of the employees. Unfortunately I don't have asked a room with a big table to work but the competence of the employee has always find a good solution. Very good Trattoria very near.

I really had the feeling to be welcome there, the staff was so friendly. My room was absolutely clean and mostly quiet, you could only hear a few times the guests in the next room. Absolutely wonderful is the breakfast on the terrace (also in wintertime beautiful), not only the location but also what they prepare (e.g. fresh fruits already cut in pieces, different kind of bread and pies, yoghurt ...). The only thing that wasn't perfect is that it's a bit out of the centre. So if you want to walk in, you need about at least half an hour. But there's a Metro-Station right a few minutes from the hotel. My result: I really can recommend the hotel and I would go myself another time there.

We spent four nights at the Morgagni in October. The room was nice enough, but the location was farther from the historic center than represented and less bustling than one would expect the university area to be. I hadn't been in Rome since living in Italy 20 years ago and was surprised at how cool and unhelpful the staff was, especially since I speak fluent Italian. Two exceptions: the breakfast hostess, who endured the most boorish tourists with grace and aplomb, remaining cheerful while surely rolling her eyes and gritting her teeth; and the lovely Giovanna at the front desk, who was not on duty nearly as often as we would have liked. (We had one rough encounter with the shrewlike general manager that made us long to get back to Bologna's superb Hotel Porta San Mamolo ASAP!) Giovanna was courteous, warm, and accommodating, and appeared genuinely interested in chatting with us. Another good thing: Although we had originally booked 5 nights through Venere, we'd decided before leaving Bologna that we would stay in Rome only 4 nights. We'd already missed the deadline to change the online reservation and decided to "eat" the cost of the extra night, but since the hotel was able to rebook our room, we were charged only for the nights we stayed. Through no fault of the hotel, Rome has changed dramatically in the past two decades, and not for the better. My husband and I are lifelong New Yorkers and remember the "bad old days" of NYC when subways could be dicey and bad neighborhoods still existed in Manhattan. Between us, we have spent 75 years commuting and 50 years working amid the city's hustle and bustle. Yet we were exceedingly uncomfortable with the crowds in Rome and managed only a couple of subway rides before deciding it wasn't for us. On the day of our departure, we were up at dawn, flew out of the hotel, and managed to catch a 9 a.m. train back to Bologna and our beloved San Mamolo, where we resumed our treatment as royalty for the remainder of our trip!

This is a very pleasant hotel in a fairly central location. The nearby metro station gives easy and cheap access to central Rome. Whilst a bit expensive by European city standards, the hotel compared very favourably inprice compared with other Rome hotels. One small drawback for the car-less traveller is the lack of restaurants in the locality. Fortunately, the hotel receptionist pointed me to a very good family-run restuarant just 5 minutes away. I would recommend the hotel highly.

The hotel was very charming, and the room was small but clean and comfortable. The small bar downstairs was a pleasant place to have a drink, and the breakfast was great. The front desk staff were extremely helpful, assisting us with train timetables and directions. The only drawback is that there are not a lot of restaurants within walking distance in the area, but the ones that the hotel directed us to were excellent.

Only stayed 1 night, but we enjoyed it very much. The decor in the room was quite nice. The room was a little on the small side, but with a LCD TV and a couch was very comfortable. Adjacent to underground rail which is a couple of minutes from Termini, so it is reasonable convenient. Would definitely stay there again.

Thanks to Venere, we got an excellent deal for a 5-day stay in August. Beautiful hotel, wonderful room and very kind and helpful employees at the reception counter. Not to mention the magnificent breakfast at its last floor terrace!! Can you imagine all of this at just two subway stops from Termini railway station and two more from Roma famous attractions?

I hesitate to say how great this place is - in case it's all booked up next year! I was a single traveller, and cannot find a single thing to complain about. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly, the room was fantastic, and the breakfast provided has to be seen to be believed. I will definitely be visiting this hotel again.

It would be helpfull if you could describe how a traveller has to walk from the metrostation to the Hotel: Take the right stairs and walk straight through the new businessbuilding, crossing a street, you will reach the entrance of the hotel by walking along the drive.

Caldamente raccomandato

We were a little confused coming out of the Policlinico Metro station, however we did find the hotel. Proceed up the stairs and continue to the end of the street, make a right and the hotel is on the left within sight. This was a FANTASTIC bargain for the price. Large rooms, large bathroom, great breakfast; what more could you want! I cannot imagine anyone having a problem with this hotel. Everything was new and clean (spotless). Worth the trip.

This is a wonderful hotel, with great amenities and a tremendous value. As we drove to Rome, we appreciated the availability of parking right in the hotel courtyard. The hotel is not in the center of the city, but very close to a METRO stop, so easy to get everywhere.
