FOr the price, Hotel is run down in overall decor and within the rooms. Plus their internet access in the lobby has a broken keyboard - we spoke with the night manager about this and 4 days later it was still not working. Rooms were spacious. Great location. But I would not consider this a 4 star hotel by any means.

Television was SKY cable but they did not have any channels paid for. The shower either froze or scalded-certainly not 4 star quality. It was a tub/shower set up and the faucets were midway so it wasn't good as a shower or a tub. No water pressure. I got bit by mosquitoes because there was no way to close the high bathroom window. No robe, towels were a joke. shower amenities were just plain crap! There was no wine bottle opener available and they laughed at me when i asked. They told me I should leave a review for the boss so i did and I am here as well. It seemed like a bunch of service people just putting in time and they could give a rats ass about service. Aside from wanting to take my small roll on into the hotel against my wishes-they figured i was a dead beat for tips i guess. I am fluent in Italian-and when i asked about opera reservations-I got blown off. The only thing this place has going for it is the location-right off the Veneto(which is pretty dark-all closed, say after 8 p.m.) and next to my favorite restaurant-Pomodorino. Internet? forgetaboutit! I think it was some ridiculous price like 25 E a day. I brought my Wind stick drive. No "business center" either! Grab a taxi from the post around the corner-the hotel apparently gets a kickback for a call to the radio cabs and you pay more. I thought it was way overpriced and the stars should be three, if that.

Excellent Hotel! Very nice staff, clean rooms and good breakfast. Taxi "station" one block away. Popular, reasonably prized restaurant block away, http://www.ilpomodorino.org/home.htm. We were celebrating our anniversary and the hotel staff gave us a very nice surprise, a bottle of sparkling wine and a fruit bowl. Thank You!

It was nice to receive such a warm greeting when my family and I arrived at the Victoria hotel. The location was ideal in that it was near several shops, restaurants and about a 10 minute walk to the subway. There are many local restaurants to choose from within walking distance. The breakfast was very good which is a combination of American and European; i.e., eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals; meats, cheeses, and a variety of fruits and also included espresso, cappuccino and Caffe latte. Although a little pricey, It was worth the cost because of the location and the fantastic service.

When we reserved, there was only one price room. Is that just for Venere or would there be other price points available earlier in the process?

Staff extremely welcoming and helpful. Room could have been bigger and more comfortably furnished. On my wife's request an armchair was provided. Only two criticisms: the eggs at breakfast were invariably luke-warm or cold, and the drinks at the bar were over-priced. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and would recommend the hotel to our friends.

Almost inaccessible for handicapped person, esp. as lobby was not on ground floor. Restaurants were rude, overpriced. Have no desire to return to venice. I will see its art in books!

After many years we came back to the Victoria Hotel and will do so again: it's a very good address at a fair price in the heart of Rome !

When booking your room prices were not filled in on your website (Few days before departing they were listed). Further I like to confirm that your hotel offers an excellent stay, especially in view of organising the guide on Monday for a Rome trip for my wife. Final question (already made by telephone): my wife lost a small (blue) case with bank/credit cards somewere in Rome (may be in your hotel). If you may find it, I would very appreciate if you inform us. Thank you in advance, Best regards, Freek Smit
