Our stay did not commence well when the hotel threatened to cancel our booking the day before we were due to arrive. When I suggested to them that this was unacceptable, I received a very rude email response. On arrival, we were met by rude reception staff. In fact, on each occasion that we approached reception staff they were rude and unhelpful. On one occasion in particular when we were unable to access our room on the third attempt with differing key cards, I was shouted out for pointing out that this was the third time we had climbed the stairs to the seventh floor to try to get into the room! The stair case leading to our room was a work in progress with plasterers working on it throughout our stay. Leaving the room each day involved getting covered in plaster dust and squeezing past the scaffolding they were using to plaster the walls. What I can say positively about this hotel is that the room, when we were able to get into it, was lovely and clean and the breakfast terrace was also a nice touch. The distance from the attractions was walkable but be prepared for a 20 minute walk to Trevi and a 40 minute walk to the vatican. On balance, I do not recommend this hotel and I will not return there the next time I go to Rome.

This is a nice hotel located in a quiet part of Rome, although not so far from most tourist attractions. However, a couple of things we experienced make it difficult to believe that this is a four-star hotel. The first thing was when we checked-in for a four-day stay we were asked to pay for the whole stay immediately. We refused to do so since this is not what was written in our Venere-reservation which states that payment is to be done at the end of the stay. “In this case you will have to pay in cash when you check out” said the guy behind the desk (I think that he was the hotel manager). Quite peculiar! However, when we checked out four days later there was another guy behind the desk and we were allowed to settle the account using credit card without problem. The second shock is an instruction you read inside the room “IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN TO EAT AND DRINK INSIDE THE ROOMS”, so forget about room-service and do not bring a chocolate or a bottle of champagne with you to this hotel. Also the mini-bar is a disappointment with nothing to eat of course and very few and small drinks, designed in line with the instruction. Having said that, the rest of the staff is really nice and helpful, and they would do anything to help you. Also the gym in the hotel basement is very good to have a rainy day in Rome.

The hotel is a few minutes walk away from touristic areas but the room we were given was very small and we had requested 2 beds which we did not get but the hotel staff did not seem too worried about it and I did not like the attitude. Breakfast is very basic compared to other hotels I stayed in.

Great hotel in a fantastic location.Locality is quiet but only 20 minutes walk to the Trevi. Rooms are big for a hotel in Rome. We had a standard room. Very clean and serviced everyday. No air-con in the autumn. No bar facilities at night and have to pay for the internet in the lobby and for the use of the gym. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.

WWe stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We had some initial issues with the toilet seat being broken, the bath not draining properly and the mini fridge door not shutting properly but these were all rectified very quickly after we reported them. The hotel is situated in a good area and most services/places were within a few minutes walking distance. I think it would be useful if it were stated that if guests wanted to use the wellness centre, there is an additional charge for this as I very much would have liked to have used this but felt that the daily charge was a little high.

We had great weekend at VENETO Hotel! the hotel location is good, close to buses lines that will take you to highlights of Rome. Room was wide and comfortable. Brand new bathroom. The crew is very plesent and informative. Breakfast at the 6th floor terace was tasty and with great view. we found the bed not comfortable and the elevator was very old and wasn't easy to use.

I went to Rome with my 12y son. Hotel was perfect! Bus stop 50m from the hotel, a bus every 3,4 min. walking-distance to metro is short, but with the bus it's even more comfortable. Breakfeast ist very good, remarkable view from the restaurant on the 7th floor.

My experience at this hotel was very statisfactory overall. The room was comfortable and the girls at the front desk were very helpful. The staff went out of their way to get us a room prior to the offical check in time. And they allowed us to leave luggage after our check out time. This service we appreciated.

Upon arrival we were asked if we cared to upgrade our room at no extra cost. It also included a bottle of wine. We agreed and found the room was actually in another building next to the hotel, but it was a very nice room. There were a few issues, noise from the offices in the building, construction in the building and our window opened to a very busy courtyard. Over all, we were satisfied.

Rooms were clean and quiet. The bathrooms were clean and towels were changed every day. The shower could use a small shelf for shampoo and soap, otherwise they have to be kept on the ledge at the bottom of the shower. The terrace in the evening was great, so was the service and the view in the evening. I wish I was having me cocktail there now. Piazza Barberini and the Spanish steps are with in walking distance. Don't miss the Galleriea Borghese. If you take a taxi from Fumicino airport don't pay any more than 40 or 50 Uros.

The location of this hotel is excellent, being close to Via Veneto and within walking distance of all the main attractions. The room was small and cramped and the decor was tired. The bathroom was of a reasonable size but it was equipped with a small shower. This hotel appears to be work in progress. The roof terrace was nice. Overall it did not live up to our expectations.

Situated on a busy street, there was quite a bit of traffic noise despite the double glazing and shutter. Guest noise was an occasional nuisance, pot luck I guess. Breakfast was plentiful - no quantity limits, but things like omelettes were extra. Distance from Rome centre and Temini were fine - we never used public transport - about 15 minutes walk from Termini, 20 minutes from Trevi. Nice roof bar on adjoining hotel which seems linked to this one in that respect. As usual you come second in a queue if there are any Italians in, but overall the staff were fine.

The front desk staff was rather stiff. Some of the front desk staff seemed to be much more receptive to Italians than Americans. We always felt as though we were imposing on them when we had a request. The porters, waiters, etc were friendly and helpful. The room temperature was great during a very hot spell. The location is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Spanish steps. The room was small but very clean. There was always a sound of rushing water overhead during the night. The buffet breakfast was wonderful with great variety; but, don't even be 5 minutes late. There are no signs for the breakfast hours so make sure you find out.

Very friendly hotel. Quiet neighborhood, but still close to either walk or take transportation to sites. I would not stay further from the center than this though. The hotel was clean although they were still working on construction in the lobby, but looked like that was coming towards an end. Our room was very nice. Two nights before we left a room on our floor had a water problem and water was shut off earlier while we were away to fix the problem, but the hotel called us later to see if we were having problems with water and offered to move us if one arose, which I thought was considerate. Breakfast was very suitable with fruits, meats, cereals, breads, and drinks to choose from. The concierege were great to work with. Upon check-out I encountered a problem with my credit card who had put on extra security measures to insure my card was not stolen and although this took half an hour to resolve so that I could check out, I found that the hotel staff were very accomodating and patient which was very helpful in a momet that was frustrating as I was hoping we would make it to the airport on time. I would definitely stay again.

Our stay at this hotel was overshadowed by the fact that cleaning personnel had stolen jewellery placed on the bedside table. With the help of the management, the items could be recovered. - This hotel is not run with care: It clearly has a cleanliness problem, both concerning the cleanliness of furniture and the cleaning of room and bath. The window handle was broken, water closet and bath-tub loose, the curtain moving chain broken. - The breakfast is utmost meager, however, the breakfast buffet service was attentive.

The hotel staff told me on arrival that my reservation had been cancelled about two days prior to my arrival but I had not received the communication telling me this. They managed to sort it out as I think the error occurred on the website as opposed to at the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful though not overly so. The rooms were very nice, comfy beds and excellent showers, no baths to be seen. A bit of a trek to the Spanish steps and the centre but not too bad. Overall very nice and certainly a bargain at 120 euro per room per night.

We stayed at Veneto hotel for 5 nights. The location is perfect indeed.Very close to all special places you have to see when you are in Rome. The room was as we imagined it would be.Except that the furniture are not classical but just old with a touch of class! The important of course is that it was clean, warm and quiet except of the noice from the street which we like to hear anyway. The lobby needs improvement but as the hotel is under constructions we believe it will be nicer after that.We can't say anything for the breakfast because we did not had one(our choice).

Location is excellent...nice reataurants in the area convenient to metro and walking. Service very good..I was disappointed that when I had to cancel my three night stay and rebook as a two night stay I was unable to get the same rate for the room and in fact had to pay 32 Euros per night higher than my original reservation. Hotel is a solid three star hotel(on the traditional US 5 star system.) I would stay there again and would recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay here and I highly recommend this hotel for those doing a Roman holiday. From website, we expected works ongoing but much to our surprise they finished renovation one month ago. Very nice since we had flown all night and wanted to be able to rest. At check-in to the room we were given a bottle of Italian spumante and sweets with compliments of the management. Our room was nice, really high ceilings, fairly large and nice size bathroom, air-conditioning; excellent bathroom with huge marble and jacuzzi shower. The breakfast buffet on the panoramic rooftop(included in room rate) was excellent. We really enjoyed the roof top panorama on the city center to prepare to our sight seeing all day. On coming back we spent some time ordering wine and recap our day at the newly wide Bar on the ground floor. City centre attractions very close by – Villa Borghese with its Gallery, Spanish Steps with its shopping streets, Trevi Fountain and Via Veneto with its fascinating restaurants and café where top elegant hotels lies. Naturally it is far away from the ancient Rome but we caught the metro twice to get from Barberini to St. Peters Square and to the Coliseum and it was only one Euro each, very quick and frequent service. We did a lot of walking! All in all, for the $300 total, I'd think that there was something closer to the city center that was good, however, it was an enjoyable stay and I recommend it. Have to mention an amazing Trattoria – Manco’s - only two mins walk from Hotel Veneto - fantastic pasta, excellent steak, very friendly staff, two starters and main courses and a litre of house red for under 30 Euro.
