Chambre correcte, mais douche minuscule et d' utilisation peu pratique même pour une personne de corpulence normale. En revanche, personnel charmant et compétent et équipement sauna, hammam, jacuzzi parfait

Only drawback was parking situation, nothing on the street and the undergroundgarage was kept locked, i.e., needed a bellhop to unlock in order to come and go. Also, entrance/exit was on a one-way street and awkward to get in and out of. Surrounding neighborhood was also shabby, not a clean appearance.

The original room we had was a double on the 3rd floor, and it was inadequate (just too small for us). We wanted to leave the next day, but the manager was quite amenable, so we agreed to try the suite (a very nice, large room on 6th floor). We were quite happy with THAT room, and for a couple, the suite is the best (or perhaps only) option in this hotel. Breakfast, staff, facilities were all fine (though not remarkable). I would also recommend asking for the quiet side of the building. On Sunday, a BIG street/antique market sets up across the street (runs for 10-20 blocks). One good trattoria just down the street 1.5 blocks (same side). All in all, what it lacks in location it makes up for in its price (even after factoring in some cab rides, street cars and/or buses). If you plan on going there directly from the train station, just take a cab, as the H bus is crowded and unpredictable.

Great hotel! My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was as expected. Great location, easy access to transportation, pleasant, helpful staff.

The hotel is located in the outskirts of Rome but because of this it has larger rooms and a larger bathroom. And the surrounding area restaurants are more moderately priced. The tram is very convenient and easy to use to get you where you need to go. The front desk is VERY helpful giving lots of information and the rooftop bar is beautiful with a very friendly bartender.

My husband and I were very happy with this hotel. We enjoyed taking the tram into the center of the city and exploring the Travestere district. I had originally booked a room near the Colesseum but decided to save some money by staying outside of the city center. This was such a good idea! It was nice to be able to escape the craziness of Rome but still be only a ten minute tram ride to the sites. As for the room, it had nice hard wood floors, and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious!

If you're going to Rome and aren't willing to spend $1000 per night for a hotel, there is no question that you should stay here. We traveled in Italy for 11 days across four cities and no other hotel even came close to this one. If you haven't visited Italy before, prepare to spend $320 a night on what amounts to a run down Super 8 room. It's that bad. This hotel is brand new, and after staying in rat traps in Milan and Florence my wife and I were ecstatic to get to our rooms and see how huge they were, brand new, spotlessly clean, and just really nice. The hotel is a 10 minute tram ride into the city center with all the historical sites and it picks you up and drops you off right in front of the hotel. It's supposed to cost one Euro to ride, but no one else was paying for it, so we didn't either. Basically, you have a free ride in and out of the downtown that runs all day/night. I can't say enough good things about this place. There's even a rooftop terrace that overlooks the city where you can have dinner and drinks. For the price it's simply unbeatable and the people who run the hotel are incredibly nice and helpful and speak perfect English. If you're looking for a place to stay in Rome that is an incredible deal, do not think twice about booking this hotel. You'll thank me (and them) when you get back.

We had the spa package which initially seemed expensive but the exclusive use of the facilities including a 50min massage was pure luxury. The staff at the hotel were charming, breakfast was very good and although the location could seem off putting its ideal for quick access to central Rome and local resturants and bars. We would definitely come again

The hotel was perfect for us. The staff was exceptionally helpful. The hotel was spotless. the hotel was right at a tram stop. For 1 Euro you could go directly into the center of all the sights. We just walked to everything but the tram was there for those who arent walkers.

We had a marvelous stay in one of their Junior Suites, which was not so junior, (certainly by European standards). The breakfast was great and fresh every morning, though somewhat lacking in variety. And the hotel staff could not have been more helpful! One of the VERY best things about Trilussa Palace Hotel is just down from the hotel is a tram and bus stop, which made getting around Rome very easy, plus the hotel staff was very knowledgeable about which trams and buses to take to get us to various sites. Overall, it was a fantastic place to stay for our Roman Holiday!

Very polite and assistant staffers. They offer various articels of food for breakfast (salmon, italian sausage product, fruits, sweets...). The living room is also the bedroom, which offers enough space. The bathroom could be bigger. The bathroom has a special shower with the opportunity of a turkish bath. It's easy to get to the sights (by bus or tram). They aren't far away from the hotel. The hotel's facade and the surrounding aren't very attractive but inside the hotel everything is very inviting and nice furnished. The roofgarden is beautiful! For dinner just get to Trastevere, the district with many restaurants and bars.

The front desk was helpful and knowledgable of the train, bus routes and the location of the major sites. He spoke english well and made us feel welcomed with our stay in Italy. The hotel is decorated nice. The bed and pillows were comfortable with nice Italian bed linens.

This hotel is beautiful. The location was great and the room was much nicer than the pictures. But, the staff is what makes this hotel a 10 star rating. They are unbelievable. I no sooner got into the hotel, when I realized that my eyeglasses had fallen out of my pocket in the cab. Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of the cab company because I was so upset that our scheduled pickup at the airport never showed. The staff tried to find out which cab company it was by our description of the cab logo. We never did figure it out, but the staff told me where to go for either prescription or just reading glasses. They were always ready to give us very detailed directions with maps, told us exactly which bus or trolley to take back & forth. The food in the restaurant at dinner was wonderful, & the included breakfast was great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Rome, Italy. I would like to mention a thank you to Ramon who is at the desk in the late evening & early morning, also Ivana who works days, she is an angel. Ivana went so far to write me notes in Italian to give to either the eye Dr. or a different note for the pharmacy staff. Thank you everyone at the Hotel. We had a marvelous stay. L. David Soldi

Loved Trilussa Palace and would definitely stay again! Staff exceptional (particularly reception), very good room for price and excellent location with easy access to Rome via tram / metro /bus stop metres outside hotel door. Roof top view is stunning!

This was a fabulous hotel. It was just outside the heart of Trastevere and VERY accessible to Rome's city center. The tram is but a few steps from the hotel entrance. The rooms were quite large for European standards and I especially loved the showers. Continental breakfast was decent. I truly enjoyed my stay there and I hope to stay there again, if prices stay the same =)

Good, comfortable and clean room. Bathroom ok, but shower somewhat cramped. Staff rather aloof. Location not ideal, busy residential area with a lot of traffic (ask for a room at the back). If you don't like to walk a lot look elsewhere because the hotel is quite far from all major tourist sites and decent restaurants (Trastevere) are also a 15 minute walk away. We paid EUR 90 for a double room per day which was good. However, it seems the rates have now gone up quite substantially, which would make this property far less attractive.

Trilussa is a 3 star posing as a 4 star hotel. Hotel facilities are limited, and require additional payments for everything. The rooms however are excellent, though we had to demand the actual room we booked and paid for. General service in the hotel was pretty poor overall from the reception to the minimal and slow breakfast service. If you are looking for a well positioned hotel away from the hustle and bustle of Rome central then this is a good one to stay in for a couple of nights.

This hotel had a very cool shower: it had several different controls including a turbo and a waterfall. My only complaint about this hotel is that I needed batteries to work the in-room e-mail system. He said he would bring them up. After about three hours and three phone calls I finally got the batteries, but still had problems with the e-mail system, which no one was able to help me with. They still insisted on charging me for the service. It was frustrating, but otherwise this was a very nice place with an excellent breakfast.

I arrived at the hotal at 9:00 am. I had just flow 14 hours from California to Rome. When I arrived at the hotel I asked for an early checkin and wa immediately told No. I could sit in the lobby until 1:00 when rooms were available. I explained that I was exhausted and needd a shower. After 10 minutes they finally got my room ready and I was able to check in. When I did get to the room I was surprised that it was no bigger thn about 10x12. Very small, however VERY clean and new. The bathroom ws excellent. My stay was pleasant and enjoyed the breakfast each morning. The staff throughout my visit was excellent, all spoke english and were readily available with information. I ended up loving this hotel. They recommended a fabulous restaurant LeFate which I dined at twice.

This place is a gem hidden in the trastevere area, right in front of the hotel you have a tram and bus stop which either mode takes you downtown, never used the metro in 6 days we were there. This is truly a 4 star palace with spacious and well appointed rooms for european standards. All rooms have an impressive shower system with music and 20+ dif. water outputs(no bathtubs). There is a spa(which we didn't use) which costs 50 euros an hour (p.p.)to use, only mention this because one might think it's included when you book online. My only fear is that the prices are bound to go up, once they establish a reputation, so I hesitate to even write this review, I would like to keep it my secret, but that would be too selfish.

If you've never been to Rome before, this is a good first place to go - especially quality and location for the price. Its newly renovated and marble all over. I do recommend taking the train from the airport to Stazione Trastevere (only 10 E), where you can easily either grab a cab or take the pullman - which stops right in front of the hotel in the piazza. The area in general is improving, since Porta Portese is a bit shady, since the market is there, but its on the piazza and the cleanest building on the block if not the nearest 4 blocks. The rooms are quiet with padded wallcovering, which helps quiet the ouside noise of vespas and rumbling trains, which in most other hotels is annoying. There are no irons in hotels in italy, even though this is a 4 star hotel (hey, spain has them!! this is something that could be added - hint hint). The bathrooms are a bit tight and narrow, but are the highest quality for Rome, with VERY high quality mini-showers - could be tough for some larger hotel guests.... The breakfast served is excellent with great service - but get there early to avoid not getting a table. I didn't take advantage of the spa services, but should have - looked great. The staff speak english pretty well and can help you get anything you need - sometimes they outdo themselves.

nearly everything was really ok, exept breakfast. I foud the choice rather poor and the room was too small for all the guests waiting for breakfast. also the service can be ameliorated.... but all in all our stay in a junior suite was very nice.

This hotel, even though it was not exactly central, was linked by the excellent tram service. From the drop off point all attractions were accessable. The hotel was very clean & well presented, with pleasant staff. We took advantage of the airport transfers which made travelling to the airport very easy. The only thing is that the spa pool & sauna is advertised but it costs 50 euros for 1 hour to use it.I was quite looking forward to using the facilities but this would prove expensive. I would definitly reccomend this hotel.

This hotel is brand new, immaculate and kept to a very high standard. The staff are helpful and kind, and you get 4* service. It is not in the most attractive surroundings but you feel safe as it is on a main road. The junior suite is spacious, beautiful and the spa shower is very interesting! The hotel facilities are limited, they have a "Wellness centre" which has a gym, a turkish bath, a sauna and pool but this costs 50 euros to use for an hour (but it will be completely yours for this hour!)The bar is very small with limited drinks but the minibar is very cheap! Be warned, the hotel restaurant seems to serve a set menu and there doesn't seem to be anything to tell you this or what it is, we personally weren't that keen on it but it was traditional Roman cuisine, excellent value for money for the amount of food you get and the service was fantastic. We walked to all the tourist attractions from the hotel as at the time it didn't seem that far but we did ache for days after, if you're less ambitious you can buy a tram ticket which you get from the tabbaconists (spelt similarly in Italian I think) for 1 euro for the whole day and the tram is practically on your doorstep. Please don't get stung like us by a dodgy cabby, the journey from Ciampino airport to the hotel should cost between 30-35 euros, ask for a set price or put the meter on. A lovely hotel, we had a great time. (Ps Just in case you didn't know like I didn't... the whole of Rome is Non-smoking! You can not smoke in ANY public place but you can ask reception for an ashtray for your room!) Have a great time!
