My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a night because it is close to the train station. The hotel is on the third floor, our room(#6) had AC and there is a typical breakfast with juices and pastries. The staff was pleasant to deal with and spoke English. I would recommend the hotel for others to stay in. The room and private bathroom were not very large, but who spends a lot of time in a hotel room when in Rome anyway.

Very well located to Rome Termini. Although my room was small, it was totally adequate for me. It is located in a very busy area with many outdoor cafes but once the window was shut, there was no noise. It was hot in Rome but the room does have a ceiling fan or you can pay extra for air conditioning.

Teti is a better quality hotel than I expected for location and price - deserves more stars. I hadn't noticed any information on the website about the hotel being on the 2nd floor of the building (a lift could be taken from the first floor). My single room was perfect for a short stay and I would stay there again.

I arrived at the hotel early due to flight times and hotel concierge allowed early check-in. I was given a large room (better than booked). Overall, I was very satisfied as the hotel is good value. There is a small laptop, so was able to use email free of charge. Continental breakfast was a good start for the day.

This is my second stay at Hotel Teti. Good breakfast, friendly staff. Very close to Termini station and walking distance to historic Rome. Lots of restaurants in the area and although the neighbourhood looks a bit rough, it is perfectly safe. Around the corner visit Gelateria Santa Maria Maggiore for some of Rome's best gelato and visit the church itself, you will not be disappointed. I will definitely return to Hotel Teti when I'm in Rome again.

Excellent value and I felt safe even though the area around the train station is a bit rough - there were plenty of other single female travelers about. Had trouble finding the hotel which was in the same building as many others, but locals were helpful. Great value, very helpful desk. Truly convenient location.

Take some earplug with you and you´re very fine! Of course it is not "the Ritz", but a 3 or 4 day/night city trip it is just perfect! The staff is really friendly, the rooms incl bathroom are very clean. The breakfast is quite restricted but really ok. The really (and only!) negative thing was the noise at night. Option A: Window closed. Then it is of course quite quiet, but hot. You have to switch on the ventilator, which is really loud. Option B: Window open -> heavy noise from outside. I put in some earplugs and slept like a baby...

This was as advertised, a clean small single room with a location close to Roma termini station at a reasonable price. I was very happy except that the 3 flights of stairs with a heavy case was a pain. There was a lift but the reviews I had read said it wasn't always working and the look of it didn't inspire confidence !

The staff at The Teti went out of their way to be helpful. However we only had hot water for about 3 hours in the 3 days we were there and that was after numerous trips to the desk. Also one must climb a flight of stairs with heavy bags to get to their lift, which was very difficult with 50lb bags plus carry one. The location was wonderful, close to the train station from FCO and metros. Only a 2 block walk to the station and you can go virtually anywhere. Lots of restaurants in the area.

We went to Rome last week. The hotel is on the 2nd floor - 3-4 hotels share one house, on each floor you will find different hotels. The service is competent and friendly - the room got cleaned every single day - no matter what time you leave the hotel. The room was surprisingly quiet - but if you go to bed early you can hear the other guests coming back and the reception talking. ;) No need for earplugs though (brought some with us, didn't use them) The breakfast is typical italian - only sweet, no fruits, no cheese, ham or eggs ... but we didn't miss it. Negative thing: - The bed! The matress is HARD!! If you got a sensitive back DON'T stay at this hotel. I am not a sensitive back person and even I had hardenings - my husband is more sensible and we went to the hospital on our last day because he fainted (to much pain) on the road. Another good advice: NEVER - NEVER go to an italian hospital!! They treat tourists pretty rubbish..... All in all - we would not stay there again because of the bed :p

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Excellent location--only 2 or 3 blocks from Rome Termini. The lift does not go down to the ground floor and you will have to carry your bags up one floor, but unless you have very heavy bags, this is not an issue. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay at Hotel Teti in the future.

Proximity to Roma Termini and good restaurants is a real bonus. Airconditioning is an extra charge but the ceiling fan was very effective. Breakfast was basic but adequate. nice little hotel very central and therefore perfect for all sightseeing, near to central station termini, lots of restaurants around, and at the next corner a supermarket. Rooms are clean, staff extremely friendly. Breakfast offered good, more than expected. On the day of travel you could leave luggage at the hotel after checking out. We had a room away from the road so not that noisy, however due to the fact that a restaurant was under us we smelt the preparations of food. Price-quality justified. Loved my stay at hotel teti. For a single room it was quite spacious and comfortable and the staff all helpful and friendly. At first the area (near termini) seems a little dodgy - but in reality it was usually busy with lots of people and restaurants open well into the evening - so walking back to the hotel late from the train station was not an issue. I would recommend this hotel and would definitly stay there again.

Hotel Teti works wonders for someone on a budget requiring an affordable single room to themselves. I stayed for four nights, plus one more before catching a plane after a 10-day excursion throughout Italy. I chose Teti in order to stay near fellow group travelers, but also because the property is two blocks from the Termini station. I could use the Metro and get pretty much anywhere I needed to go in a flash. Don't be too put off by the building Teti shares with a few other properties--the hotel itself is very clean and welcoming. The single rooms are not very big or spacious, but they serve the purpose of a clean, secure place to rest while visiting Rome. The private bathroom was always immaculate and well-stocked with towels and toiletries, but the shower is a bit cagey for a bigger person. Room had a spacious, air-freshened armoire, and firm beds (great for anyone with back problems). Breakfast was quite standard: sweetbreads, cereal, coffee, juice. Nothing to yell about nor write home about. Just something to fill you up. Would definitely return if on a budget, for sure!

Fantastic deal for Rome! Bedroom (with decent mattress), clean bathroom, desk, TV with foreign channels, and free internet in lobby. The area isn't picturesque, but is convenient and perfectly safe. Also, very good lighting and plenty of outlets for recharging phones, etc., which many cheaper hotels don't have.

This was my first stay in Rome and I wanted to be close to the Termini, which this hotel is. The hotel is quiet, except for the street noise, so bring your earplugs. The staff was pleasant. I really didn't need their help for anything so can't rate that. There are a number of restaurants close by, beside and streets around the hotel. I had an excellent dinner in one small, family owned restaurant around the corner. My only complaint with this hotel is the breakfast. Juice and coffee came out of a machine(terrible stuff), and it would seem to me unnecessary given how easy it would be to make fresh coffee for people. As well, some fresh fruit would have been nice. But generally for the price you can't go wrong. The room was very small but certainly adequate, and a safe was provided in the room, which I really like to have. I would not hestitate to recommend this hotel if you're looking for a budget piced place to lay your head at night.

I arrived to Rome by train and left Rome by train and the Teti is ideally located for those traveling by train as Termini is just two blocks away. The location is excellent, near Metro stations for those who prefer to ride rather than walk AND within easy walk of the main sites. You might need to ride the Metro to the Vatican but I walked to The Pantheon with no problem. The neighborhood is ethnic in composition but safe and relatibly quiet. IF you are unconfortable with minorities or dark skin people being around you dont stay anywhere near Termini. The Termini area is not a white haven. The hotel is clean and tidy, there is a lift from the 1st floor up, so you will need to carry bags one flight of stairs. The reception staff is excellent, they speak English as best they can and were very resourcefull. If you speak a little Italian they make the effort to figure out what you are trying to say. Rosaria was particularly friendly and helpfull. There is a FREE Internet workstation available, no need to have your own PC on hand. Breakfast was very good, plenty of food and of good quality and the breakfast room is small but clean and confortable.Rosaria will brew you a fresh expresso if you ask her.The room and bathroom were clean. I had a single room, it was small but adequate for my needs. Room service was excellent. I have no complaints about the Teti.

The room (triple) was rather small, including a phone-box-sized shower, but comfortable. The A/C (extra 10 euro per night fee) worked well. There was also a ceiling fan that helped keep the room cool during a sweltering heat wave in Rome. There is free internet on the hotel's computer in the lobby. There is not much "entrance statement" to this hotel. It's a small hotel that occupies the entire floor on the 2nd floor of an apartment one block from the Rome Train Terminal. There are 2 other hotels occupying the other floors of the 5 floor building. There is an elevator but you need to climb one flight of steps to get there so keep that in mind if you have a lot of luggage. The area around the hotel is also not too impressive - a lot of similar 2-3 star hotels and moderately priced restaurants in the vicinity. But if you can get past the underwhelming surrounding and facade, you will be rewarded by a hotel has convenient location (walk to train station), clean rooms, attentive & helpful staff and moderate price (we paid $135 for a Quad room in June). The only negative thing is that you have to pay extra 10 euros per night for an airconditioner remote to turn the aircon on and off.

Not too convenient to any major tourist sites, but Metro, bus, or walking got us where we wanted to. Room was always clean. Staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful; all spoke English and were very accomodating. Breakfast was minimal but rolls and pastry were tasty; cappuccino machine made great coffee and staff would allow us to use it late at night. I have been to Rome 10 times now, and this was my first stay at this hotel. The Teti was adequate for a short stay and the plus is being so close to Termini, making travel connections easy. The hotel was clean and very quiet, and I got a good rate. I was a little uncmfortable coming back late at night, as I got the feeling I was inconveniencing the night-time desk person by staying out till 2 or 3 AM, but Rome's nightlife doesn't START till after 11:00 PM. It would be nice if they'd just give you a key to the outside doors if you want to come back late. However, my biggest complaint was asking guests to pay a 15 Euro supplement to use EITHER the air conditioner or even the ceiling fan. Thankfully, it was relatively cool in Rome during my stay in late May, but the hotel becomes less a bargain if you have to factor in an extra $20 American each night to sleep comfortably.

The room was fine and hotel is very clean, but air conditioning charge was an extra 25 Euro. It was too noisy outside to leave windows open. For the facilities we think this hotel is a little overpriced. The hotel was chosen for its location close to the train station, and was ok for an overnight stay.

In front of this hotel I found another on cheaper than this, its name is Hotel Acropoli Via Principe Amedeo, 63 and it was costing for double room EUR 80,00, and we paid EUR 120,00 and when we consult you we didn't found it in your book hotel.

Nice little hotel. Very clean and pleasant free breakfast. Some street noise (hard to avoid in a small hotel in a major city) Very close to Stazione Termini and hence the buses to/from Ciampino and the Metro. The directions on venere.com were incomplete!!! The front of the station building is on Via Giovanni Giotti. Paralell to that is Via Filippo Turati and parallel to that is Via Principe Amadeo. It really is only 5 mins walk from the station! I'd stay there again.

Room was good and clean, housekeeping everyday, bathroom small but sufficient. Staff mostly kind and helpful. Breakfast was really poor, all beverages from a machine! Walls in the rooms almost like paper so that you can hear the television of the neighbour room. Location of the hotel very central and only two blocks from main station. Supermarket and nice restaurants nearby. But surrounding area seems not to be the best.

Teti occupies the 3rd floor of commercial building. Good security (doors to building locked at night, need to ring to get in). My single room was good for price paid. Ver clean. Nice people running the place. Close to train station (Termini). Many restaurants in neighborhood.

My husbond and I stayed for 6 nights at Teti. We had a great time, and the hotel was very good. It was very easy to find from the station Termini, and is by the way very central located. If you walk 20 min. you will come to Colosseum. So we would like to stay there next time also.

Hotel Teti is a great find for a stay in Rome. It is a quick walk from the Termini station - no problem for tourists dragging suitcases. The location surprised me at first. It is housed in an old palazzo which also houses several other hotels, so look for multiple hotel signs from the street. My single room was clean and spacious. Street noise was minimal but noise from other rooms could have been a problem. Luckily the hotel was quiet at night so there was little interference. The breakfast was adequate - coffee from a machine was tasty and sweet rolls. No cereals or healthy stuff which many Italian hotels are now offering. Free internet access is a bonus Very friendly helpful hosts at desk. A shuttle was offered to the airport for only 15 euros which I thought was a great deal. The front desk will book it for you. Prompt and efficient service including door to door pick up and delivery.

I needed to spend one night in Rome to flight out the next day, Hotel Teti was close to the train station and easy to find, so recommend it for that reason. They also have a shuttle bus to the hotel that is cheap.

Hotel Teti is conveniently located next to the train station, making it a perfect place to rest for those arriving late in the day after travelling. The bathroom was a little dirty and cramped, but overall the room was nice and our stay included a small breakfast of sweet rolls, yogurt, and various coffee drinks (dispensed from a push-button machine). I especially liked the high ceiling, which gave the room a spacious feel. I wouldn't recommend staying at Hotel Teti for more than a day, though, as the surrounding neighborhood is rundown and there are other hotels more centrally located to the sites of Rome.

Stayed two nights here in the Eternal city in August with my girlfriend. Room was newly decorated but a bit on the small side. Air conditioning unit was there but we were advised it costed extra for the remote control to use it. This is one area I have issues with some Italian hotels. Breakfast was a little on the small side also. A self-service machine produced the coffee and juices, while there was little of no selection of hams, cheeses or yogurts. The hotel is located only two streets from Termini which is useful but dont expect to feel completely safe all of the time. However, we never had any trouble. In summary, a good, cheap, clean hotel close to Termini which if it just included the air con for free and made improvements on the breakfast selection, then could be a real treasure.

Having flown from Portland, OR, we appreciated the chance to deposit our bags in the reception area and rest on the couch there while the room was made ready for us. All Teti employees we encountered were pleasant and anxious to please. The fact that the tall windows opened to the fresh air made for pleasant sleeping (we did lock our shutters!). The rooms were cool and quiet, with a minimum of street noise despite our open-window policy. The breakfast area was neat and peaceful; the rolls/pastries very fresh. We were skeptical about machine-served coffee, but it was the best and we loved all the choices. Great location, as promised in the advertisements.

IT WAS AS EXPECTED. THE AREA AROUND THE TRAIN STATION IS NOT ONE OF THE BETTER AREAS OF ROME. THE RESTAURANTS IN THE AREA ARE GOOD EXCEPT THAT I WOULD HESITATE GOING INTO A PLACE WHERE THE MEMU IS TRANSLATED IN MULTIPLE LANGUAGES, THE FOOD MAY BE ITALIAN IN NAME ONLY.
