I would definitely go back and recommend this hotel to others. The staff was polite, efficient and helpful. The hotel was within walking distance to many popular historical sites. And the breakfast was delicious.

I booked a single occupancy room at Hotel Sonya. Upon arrival I was sent across the street to stay at another branch of the same hotel - Hotel Opera. The room was closet size, smallest hotel room I ever stayed in, with a small single bed and barely enough space for other furnishings. On the upside, everything was kept clean and the staff was very attentive and helpful.

It's close to transport and landmarks, making this is a good base to explore the city at a reasonable price. The room was, without fail, clean. The breakfast was good. The hotel is located across the street from a supermarket, and we made at least one meal out of the bread, cheese, and sausage we bought there. The staff were also quite helpful.

Nice hotel; quiet location; friendly staff, reasonably good breakfast. It was easy to reach on foot the main attractions and shopping area. We did not use pblic transport at all. It takes only 10 min by walk to reach Termini and Leonardo express train to Fiumicino airport. Price was also reasonable. We did enjoy our stay at Sonya hotel.

How to reach Hotel Sonya

By train
From the Roma-Termini Train Station you can take the underground line A to the Repubblica station, and then walk to the hotel for around 200 meters/656 feet.

By airplane
From the Roma-Fiumicino International Airport take the Leonardo Express train service to the Termini Station, then proceed as above described.
From the Roma Ciampino International Airport take the scheduled shuttle bus to the Anagnina bus and metro station, then take the underground line A and get off at Repubblica.
