Recently we finished a trip in europe and without doubt the worse of all was Soggiorno Blu in Rome. We'll never back there. We had paid in advance for a *** hotel and the result was a very small room, dirty, no window to the street, the very poor breakfast was in a bar nearby with no tables or chairs to sit and worse atention for all the guest who were there. Plese take out Soggiorno Blu ot of the list of *** Hotels, it does'nt cover that level. Too much money for a very poor service.

Considering the price it was an expensive stay, but that is spring in Rome! only in winter would a place like this be a reasonable price, maybe. Staff were friendly, when they were there. Breakfast was a donut and excellent coffee in cafe round corner. So was Ok. Noise from other rooms was a shame, due to stone/tile floors and thin walls/ceilings.

This hotel was very dirty and we had a very unpleasant stay. We were given for 4 people, it had 2 twin beds pushed together and 2 roll-a-way beds stuffed in the room. One of the roll-a-ways broke while one of us was on the bed. We attempted to fix it and found out it was held up with phone books stacked up. We called the office twice and they never came to check on it so we went down and around the corner to the office. They finally came to look at the bed and discovered (as we had told them) it could not be fixed. It took 2 hours to get another bed, it was almost 11 pm by the time we were able to get to bed. We asked the receptionist about compensation the next morning and they said no. It would have been one thing if the bed had just broken, the problem was they knew it was broken because it was held up with phone books. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had bed bugs in our room and were seriously bitten. We were given an alternative room on our last night but not offered any discount for the incident. Would not recommend

The housing was not in the Hotel Blu, but in the Hotel Planet, partner of this one. In general it was a correct and very clean hotel, silent room.

I was extremely upset that although your website takes credit card information (and your brochure says you take credit cards) to reserve the room, the emplyees insisted that they be paid in cash!! It is ludicrous to expect someone to carry/withdraw that much cash.

Bon accueil: conseils, plans.

Excellent location near the train station. The room was always kept very clean. There was no eating area for breakfast. It was rather inconvenient eating the breakfast each morning in a bedroom with no food table. When we arrived there was no one at the hotel. I had to ask directions to find an attendant. This was also rather annoying.

When we got to the hotel, we were put in a single room, which hadn't been cleaned and smelled of male odour and smoke. The cleaner then cleaned the room and put in another single bed, which was at a different height. We asked to be move but spent 2 nights in a single room. We couldn't use the wardrobe as the beds were too big for the single room. Showers were great - clean and effective! When we went to pay, the hotel refused to take a visa card, which I had booked with, as it was cash only. This was on New Year's Eve in Rome and I had to get over 300 Euros from a cashpoint in Termini Station! They said this was because it was a special CASH ONLy offer on the computer, which I was not told about when I recieved booking confirmation. Other than this, staff were polite and we enjoyed Rome. Shame that we paid for a double room for 4 nights and only got it for 2.

After booking our stay at hotel Blu we recieved an email with directions to the hotel and instructions to go to the nearby hotel Planet to check in. Hotel planet then informed us that we not actually staying at hotel Blu but at another hotel, Hotel 'Sports' located one road away. We had booked a double room for four nights, but on arrival we were informed that there was only a smaller twin room avaliable for the first night and that after this we would be transferred to a double. However, the room we eventually had did have all the facilities advertised, television and air conditioning, and there were good shared bathroom facilities with two bathrooms to two rooms. The rooms were spacious and felt very secure. All three of the hotels (Blu, Planet, Sports) are located close to termini making it easy to explore rome by metro or bus, but giving the disadvantage of some traffic noise. There are also several reasonably priced restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, they were unable to offer a discount for the twin room we had on the first night but they did offer compensation by allowing us to have the room longer on check out day. The accomodation would be most suited to people looking for budget accomodation, using the hotel as a base to explore the rest of Rome.

Hotel Blu is really a pseudonym for a series of rooms and buildings in the Terminal vicinity, a really seedy part of town. We were given an entirely different room than the e-mail confirmation, but it worked out okay. If you're willing to put up with going through the area, the rooms are clean and spacious. You get what you pay for I guess.

Finally, we stayed at Soggiorno sport (same owner) and very near to Blu Hotel. Nice place. It was very clean which is important when you have to share a bathroom...
