Hotel Siviglia is a comfortable hotel, located on quiet area. It is close to Termini train station. Many Rome attractions can be visited walking from the hotel. My wife and I, stayed and were very well attended. We recommended it due to many good reasons.

One positive point of my stay was that I had booked a single room and I was given a double. However, the main reason one goes to a hotel is to sleep, something which prooved quite challeging given the type of bed provided, a single old thing which had seen, perhaps, a better age. The same age way back in the past had been shared by the chair in old bursted velvet and the table lamp, not to mention the electrical fittings which stuck out of the wall and were too far from the table in case you wanted to use your PC. There was no safe in the room, something which nowadays is provided in hotels of even lower ratings. The room was noisy because of the traffic below, and the breakfast was modest.

The area is quiet and got quite many inexpensive resturants, the metro is just about 5 mintues walk and only three blocks behind the hotel, the room and bathroom is spacious and clean. The services is welcoming and professional, the breadfast is okay. I am very happy with this hotel.

there's a lot of work to do in this place (renovation, putting everything in order etc.), there's no hot water in the morning and evening, but the worst thing was the smell in the bathroom...it was horrible. There were however the bright sides: hotel is located 500m from Termini station and 200 from subway, staff was nice and very helpfull. I wouldn't stay there again.

Nice, comfortable, quiet hotel... well located, friendly staff... with some serious problems of cleanliness though... everything would've been ok if it hadn't been for a mouse in our room... It would be better to have one complete big bed instead of two twin-beds put together.

We 've made a reservation for a double room, the first one was number 114 and it was awful room, very small space, old beds and bad smelling. We immediately ask for a new room and from the next morning we have a normal room. Also the breakfast was pure and not very fresh.

Hotel is a 10 minute walk from Termini. The consierge the first night was terrific and recommended La Familiga Restaruant just down the street and we ate there every night afterward. Our only complaint is that the phones are all rotary making it impossible to use an international calling card to call the US.

We have been staying in Rome for 3 nights. Location of hotel is very handy - train station can be reached within only 5 minutes walk. Unfortunately there was no bar in the hotel, but there is a pub just down the road.Area around the hotel is not the nicest, but okay. Can highly recommend Restaurant "La famiglia" - situated on the way to station - very good food at reasonable prices and many Italian guests. Check the antipasti buffet & and delicious sweets out! We also found the very close supermarket practical. All in all a very nice stay for a very good price. Also breakfast was very good for Italy.

Quite possible the worst hotel we've ever stayed in, but let's begin with the good: Location within Rome is actually fine, and neighborhood was fine, too - close to good, local restaurants, supermarket, train station, etc. Breakfast pretty good, too, and the bathroom in Room 221 was new and spacious. Where to begin with the bad? How about check-in, where the surly desk clerk was simply rude - of the three desk clerks we encountered in our two-night stay, 2 were aggresive and unwelcoming; the third was delightful. Breakfast coffee server was herself mean (others have commented on her surliness). Room - bed disgusting, dark, poor lighting, bed bugs, bugs on floor - Yuck, yuck, yuck!!! Others have reported having a great stay here, and we relied on those comments - however, our experience was just awful.

we were informed by porter on arrival that our hotel was changed to Hotel Fiamma. Would have prefered if we were informed about this before arrival. Staff at Hotel Fiamma were excellent. Made every effort to speak English and make our stay a pleasant one. This hiotel is closer to Station Termini and we would gladly use this hotel again for our next visit to Rome. It was as good as it could be for a 3 star hotel.

Handy location for rail station; wish I'd read all the Venere comments beforehand as it would have warned me about the terrible mattress and bed in room 228. There was a big but knackered mattress on two single beds one of which was falling to pieces. We deconstructed it and put the mattress on the floor but it was pretty dire. Otherwise, good value

We were a little hesitant about staying so close to Termini Station but our stay at Siviglia proved all of our fears wrong. Siviglia is approximately 5-6 blocks from Termini on a quiet side street. We had no problems finding it using a map and it was clearly labelled. The exterior looks old but the interior is nice and gives a warm feeling. The room and bathroom were very clean and much larger than other hotels we stayed at in Italy. There was air conditioning but no English speaking TV and very few channels. This was not a big deal for us because we spent very little time at the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our rooms were cleaned and we received fresh towels daily. It is a short walk to restaurants, banks, shops, etc. near Termini Station, where you can catch public buses to various destinations. Everything was within walking distance, however. The Colosseum was only about a 20-25 minute walk from the hotel, for example. I can't comment on the breakfast selection because we did not make it to breakfast at the hotel during our stay there. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants good service, quality, and convenience for the lowest possible price. We will definitely stay here again if our travels take us back to Rome.

The Hotel Siviglia in general was a quaint, comfortable hotel in a conveniently located neighborhood. Both our room and bathroom were large and very quiet at night. The gentleman at the reception was very pleasant until we asked for the remote control for the airconditioning unit. He told us that it "wasn't necessary". My husband had to insist (it was very warm) and he finally gave it to us, telling us not to change the temperature setting! The airconditioner dripped water onto the carpet all night. The breakfast was a nice buffet of fruit, cereal, cold cuts, juices, and rolls. However, we have never seen as nasty a person as the woman who brings you your coffee. She would sneer at you and roll her eyes. The hotel also advertised a room safe in each room. There was no safe. As a matter of fact, we asked the man at the reception to put our passports in the hotel safe for us, only to find out the next day that they simply kept them underneath the reception desk, saying "it wasn't necessary" to put them in the safe as there was always someone manning the reception desk (even though we would at times find them snoozing on the couch at night). The cleaning people would unlock the door to our room without knocking first and acted annoyed that we were there. One day after they cleaned, we returned to find no toilet paper. The lovely photograph of the entrance to the hotel is not the entrance at all, but the door to a courtyard in the rear of the building. We did enjoy an area on the roof with tables and chairs, where we were able to have picnic lunches and get some sunshine. In general, however, we felt that the price for the accommodations was way too high for the services provided, though this being our first trip to Rome, we have nothig to compare it to. We felt that everything in Rome was overpriced.

After a lot of thought we chose this hotel, due to nthe previous write ups and were not disappointed. A spacious room with a lovely view of the courtyard outside. The room was quiet, cool with air con. The location was ideal, only 6-7 minutes from the Termini railway/bus station. The area was quiet and only three minutes from another underground station. Most of the city was an easy stroll away, and the nearby underground increased the access to sites furtehr away such as the Vatican. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast, and quite acceptable. Staff were courteous. The shower was powerful and the bathroom large. Despite the Termini area having a dubious reputation for beggers, prostitutes and pickpockets, we never fealt at all in any danger, and the whole time we were there the police were outside gaurding the Tukish Embassy opposite so we fealt safe throughout.Within one minute from the door is the Africa restaurant with an Ethiopian menu, well worth a try, if you have too much pasta, and pizza.we had an excellant stay.

The location of the hotel from the Termini station was confusing. We suggest bite the bullet and pay the 15 euros for the taxi and then you can walk where you want and return to use the train etc. It is confusing with all the little roads and tucked away hotels. We enjoyed our stay and the breakfast each morning. Also, ask for the remotes for the air conditioner, if it is warm.

The Siviglia is a very pleasant hotel. The room was a reasonable size although the footboard to the bed presented a bit of a problem for a tall person (1.93m). We were also a little disturbed on two nights by what sounded like water dripping in the plumbing system of the room above. We were impressed with our all marble bathroom. One delightful feature of the hotel was the roof terrace with tables and chairs, where we enjoyed a picnic lunch on one occasion. A reasonably good breakfast was served downstairs in the basement dining room. One 'find' for evening meals was the excellent Ristorante- Pizzeria " La Nuova Famiglia" in the same street (via Gaeta) which was one of the busiest restaurants we've ever encountered, serving excellent food at very reasonable prices.

These accommodation were OK - somewhat disappointed for the price we paid of $130 Euro. Expected a little better shower & bed. On the plus side... Room was very clean & fairly quiet. The complimentary breakfast very good, fresh & plentiful & probably one of the best cappuccino served. Staff was friendly & helpful when asked for directions & even provided a tourist map. Close to the train station for ease of getting around. Neighbourhood was OK - seemed fairly safe. On the negative side.... The bed was uncomfortable - one half of the bed collapsed the first couple days - the first night had to sleep with one hand on the floor so I wouldn't fall off the bed. This was a king mattress on top of 2 old twin beds tied together where the metal spring would come of the wooden frame on one side. Once placed on the frame properly the bed was fine for the remainder of our stay. The shower was aweful....the shower head wouldn't stay in properly - kept falling down & the shower door when closed had a gap & perhaps a leak somewhere else which led to water all over the bathroom floor. The door to our room on the outside had a door handle that looked like it was going to fall off or come out of the door - I guess which ever happens first! Didn't give the impression of being completely safe or secure but there wasn't any problems with door otherwise. Happy Travelling!

The hotel is located just a few minutes from the train station ( but take just a small suitcase with you ) which is very comfortable if you take the train from the airport. For ladies: it's very safety, a police car parked in front of the hotel the whole time. There must be a ministry near by. And it takes you just 2 stops with the subway to the main attractions like "Fontane di Trevi". The hotel was very clean und our room was quiet as I asked for, but we was under the impression, that everything is a little old and used, what means: the bed, the furniture and the breakfast room seems to be a little second-hand, but with the typical Roman flair we loved very much. Everything has its price ! But be on time in the morning, after 09.59 a.m. there is no more chance to get a breakfast. Besides the service lady is very indignant about you and there is no coffee shop around the corner. In total: we was happy with the hotel for our short stay and would come again.

The entrance to the hotel, and the reception area is very welcoming and classy, as was the landing outside our room. The receptionist was very polite and professional. The room itself was fine although a little shabby with no view - but we were only staying one night so it wasn't important. The bathroom looked amazing - shame the showerhead was broken and when you used it a sideways jet of water came gushing out! We didn't complain though.

The hotel Siviglia in Rome was really fantastic. The location wonderful, near embassies and very safe feeling, as well as a very attractive and affluent area; though not far from Termini station-we walked with large roller luggage, from station to hotel. Our room was a corner room with a large beautiful terrace, very clean, beautiful large marble bathroom, and bedroom was quite crisp and clean. Breakfast was good too, great selection, and very large multi-room cellar breakfast area. This hotel was great in all aspects and I would highly reccomend it and use it again. We really enjoyed our stay at Siviglia and can highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a clean and quiet(!) accommodation. The staff was very frendly and could help us with all our questions. The only negative thing was that the mattresses were old and therefore not that comfortable. Anyway, next time I will travel to Rome I will again choose Siviglia as accommodation.

The hotel is charmingly decorated and well-maintained. It's in a very quiet neighborhood, and extremely convenient to the train station and other public transportation. The room we had was LARGE and contained three beds for two people, and had good air conditioning. We also had a HUGE bathroom. Breakfast was abundant and very good. They also referred us to an excellent local restaurant for dinner which gave us a 10% discount. Also, we were thrilled to be able to check in at 11 a.m., immediately after we arrived in Rome. This allowed us to have a very refreshing nap and shower in the afternoon in between sightseeing. We also got an excellent price reserving online and didn't have to pay until we checked out. On the minus side, the beds were somewhat hard, and the water in the bathroom took several minutes of running to get hot. Also the drain in the shower was very slow causing several inches of water in the bottom of the shower, and the shower door didn't close properly. After we complained they did do something with the shower door which made it close better but still not very well. However, these were minor issues and didn't detract much from an overall very enjoyable stay. From now on, we'll consider this OUR hotel in Rome.

The interior is chic and clean. The price they offered is also nice in conparison with their service. The distance from Termini Station is so long to walk with luggage, but so short to go by taxi.

Staff at front desk were very friendly and helpful. One of our two rooms had a musty order...but was otherwise very clean. In our other room (a three person room), the mattress was not good on the single bed...but they quickly replaced it.

You might get a little worried as you approach Siviglia from Termini station - not only thinking you may have missed it as the road comes to an end but also what it will be like as the area you walk through to get to it is not particularly attractive. But as soon as you reach the hotel at the very end of Via Gaeta the attractive lobby reassures you. We stayed just one night. Our room was spacious and overlooked a garden opposite (I had emailed the hotel asking for a quiet room with a nice view - if you dont speak Italian use one of the free translation sites on the web). Unfortunately I hadn't specifically asked for a double bed and it seems that "Doppio" refers to both twin and double-bedded rooms. ("Lette matrimonale" is the term to use to specifically request a double) but the room was very pleasant with a lovely marble bathroom so I wasn't inclined to move rooms. The hotel is walkable to/from the station but its a trek into the centre of town so the hotel may not be the best for you if you dont want to walk far or take taxis (it was less than 10 euros by taxi). The hotel has the feel of an erstwhile grand building converted into a hotel - its not luxury but it has some character and is comfortable. The air-conditioning, though a little noisy was a blessing. Breakfast, a fairly typical cold buffet was good, served in a cellar-like room - what a shame there are no tables in the adjacent courtyard! If you are eating out, give Ostaria Da Nerone near the Colosseum a try - get an outside table, go with the mixed anti-pasta to start and the white house wine. The spaghetti vongole (clams) is also excellent, and do ask for the Fragula al Aceto for desert - wild strawberries in balsamic vinegar - delicious! It's a good idea to phone and reserve - it's fairly painless, a phrase book will help you - the published number on most websites is out of date - try (0039) 064817952 I'd happily stay at Siviglia again - look for the late booking offer - just £80 euros including break

Rooms are good/OK and clean. Bathroom smells very bad, doors (to bath) have to be kept closed over night. Did not use the shower because of mouldfungus between the plates on the ground/wall. Air condition makes not cool but noise. Price OK for Capital/Rom.

I have stayed here before and really liked it,this time i had an argument with the night desk person about my t.v not working and the coldness of the room.I had to ask three times for more blankets. He yelled at me and hang the phone in my ear.(very rude)Next day got new t.v but the blankets were removed from room.I got a 20 euro discount(but i had to ask for it)

Shower sprayed the whole of the bathroom -but on the whole it was a good hotel in this price area. Safety box is expensive but necessary (collegue had property stolen from her room)

Good place to stay in Naples - good location - central. The main difference between this and a three-star was that this doesn't have a street-level lobby - you go into what looks like an office building, up to the third floor, open the door to what looks like an office, then there's the lobby. Like everyone else says - this place is hard to find your first time. You can see the castle out of the breakfast room window and it's about 1/2 block from the neptune-looking fountain (this should help).

It was a quite good trip to Rome. It's a lovely hotel, but I think that the heating was a little bit to high and it was impossible to turn down the heating, but by opening the window a regulation of temprature was possible.

For the price that we paid which was very reasonable for a 3 star, the room that we got was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was nicely decorated, and has a good shower. Staff was generally helpful, although I wouldn't say they were very friendly. About 7 mins walk to the main Termini station/metro that conveniently takes you everywhere in the City. Took the Eurostar to Florence from Termini.

Very pleasant hotel, ideal for train/bus station and within easy reach of local restaurants etc. Would certainly go there again and recommend as a good base for visiting Rome.

The location was ideal as it is walking distance to the train and the metro. Elevator doesn't service all floors, though. Very friendly staff and nice, clean rooms. Our room overlooked an embassy, though, and the people clamoring outside it was hard to ignore (though probably it isn't always like that).
