Hotel Scalinata di Spagna - Rome

A small friendly hotel at an excellect location. We had a super room. Breakfast option with more varied fresh fruit would have been nice (there was only apple kiwi). The rooftop area with its view was super but the pigeons were a pest at breakfast time. But we will come again.

The room was supposed to be a family room for 4 people, indedd, it would hav benn small just for 2 people; non place for laggage, 2 single beds arranged just in front of the entrance door. Forniture was old, and the bath room not completely clean. I told this two time, ma with any success.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very friendly staff and a fantastic location!

Perfect location for sightseeing. Elevator by metro station to the street level of hotel at top of Spanish Steps was welcomed! Very gracious and friendly staff. Coffee machine at breakfast took some getting used to, but served good coffee. Smiling and gracious senora at the breakfast area each morning.

Great smaller hotel. Remember, rooms in Rome are smaller than the US so do not get your painties in a twist when you get there. If you want a larger room go pay double elsewhere. Fabio, at the front desk, is a great guy and speaks English well. So does the younger guy that works there, whos name I can not remember.

The immediate renovation of the hotel has been needed.

Overall stay was fine, location is simply great - few steps from Spanish steps and main shopping streets. Room was pretty clean, quiet and spacious. Breakfast was simple (if not poor) but i'm okay with that. I can recommend this hotel to any kind of traveller as small and cosy hotel. Good 4 stars with no doubt.

Although the people in the hotel were curteous, professional and very nice to deal with, there is little else at the top of the Spanish steps. Not suitable for anyone with ill health. If the hotel was at the end of the steps then I would be happy to return. There is a Metro station at the end of the steps which makes getting around Rome very easy.

Wonderful location with a delicious daily breakfast and two nice bars/cafes to either side of the hotel. The staff were all very friendly. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Rome.

We stayed in a triple room. It was large by European standards. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location at the top of the Spansh Steps is perfect. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice Hotel in an excellent location at the top of the Spanish Steps. Service was excellent and the help were friendly, especially Fabio. We recommend it highly.

Location is the one big plus.
