I have stayed at hotel San Remo before. Main reasons for staying there were value for money, great location for rail station and airport bus connections. No waiting about and paying for taxis. Also there is a wide vareity of good restaurants all around the hotel. Hotel seems to be run very well Good friendly staff and the entire hotel very clean. Good bus /metro connections to all of Rome. Although the centre is within walking distance.

This was our first time at Hotel San Remo. I stayed with my significant other. We stayed there for one night before leaving Italy, in May '09. The best about the hotel is its location, it's 3 blocks from Termini Station, in a quiet area, just one block from Via Cavour. The rooms are nice, modern furniture, nice bathroom, sat tv. Breakfast standard for Italy, nothing great. It's a real 3 star Rome Hotel, you maybe pay a bit more than in other hotels because of its location. Hotel personnel its helpful and friendly. We don't have any complaints.

Stanza non piccola, ma organizzata male senza un tavolino o piccola scrivania. Standard di pulizia elevati ma il bagno era un po' fatiscente. Fiore all'occhiello la colazione: varia, abbondante, sia continentale che italiana. Medium-size room but its arrangement was not good: there wasn't even a table or a little desk. It is very clean, however, the bathroom is quite old. Wonderful breakfast: both continental and "Italian" style, wide food variety.

Good. Excellent the location: is very near of the Termini Station. The rooms are cleaned and so large. Only the breakfast is sufficent. You must added 30 €/day for guarded parking. I think that this hotel is good for a visit of same days in Roma.

We stayed for 2 nights and it was our first visit in rome. first, we arrived around 09:30 in the hotel and they directly led us check in the room and take a shower which was a good beginning for our vacation in rome. As rome is really very small and the hotels location is perfect, if you like you can walk everywhere or the train station, metro, bus station, city tour bus stops are less than 30 seconds from the hotel. Brakefast is pretty ok, even though you are late for like 10-15 mins, they give you something to eat. I recommand this hotel especially in terms of quality/price.

Lack of chairs in double bedded room inconvenient, bath chipped (more unsightly than unusable ;observation NOT a complaint).room service limited to times lounge bar keeper worked .Usual experience of loud visitors coming and goings which never seem to be monitored by sign or deed(do they really have to prove the doors make more noise than they do).A nice priced hotel only needs a bit of fine tuning and a few dozen door closers to make it v.nice.We will use it again

My father and I enjoyed a fabulous stay in Rome and San Remo was part of that experience. The staff couldn't do enough for us. They simply were fabulous. We would, without a doubt, return to the San Remo on another visit to Rome. It's location close to the train station worked perfectly for us, especially given my dad's advanced age.

I originally booked this hotel because of the nice pictures on Venere. Boy was I wrong. First of all, the Hotel San Remo sign on the outside had broken lights. Looked more like "HOT SA R O". That was the first bad sign. Second of all, we had the rudest front desk person who refused to give me a double room that I had reserved. The room she finally gave us was HOT. The A/C wasnt working, the TV didn't turn on, and the phone wasn't working either. After threatening to check out the next morning, the hotel mgr Danielle (?) gave us a different room. The room was bigger, yet the phone and TV still weren't working. At least the room was a little cooler than our previous room. Let's see, what else can I say about this place? Towels - What a joke. They aren't even terry cloth. It was like drying your body with cloth a little thicker than bed sheets. Breakfast - typical included breakfast at most Italian hotels. Was par for the course. Location - Conveniently 3 blocks from the Termini station, which was the only benefit. Overall - With hundreds of other hotel options in Rome, I would say STAY AWAY from San Remo.

Great location a few minutes' walk from Termini rail station, therefore easy access to underground railway and open-top bus tours, yet in a quiet street. About 15-20 minutes' walk from the forum, Colosseum etc. Comfortable, clean, spacious and quiet room with en suite bathroom: only thing missing was the shower curtain, and the hot water wasn't always very hot, but no real problems. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast in pleasant dining room. Plenty of good, reasonably-priced restaurants within a short walk. Would recommend it.
