People at reception spoke very poor english. Breakfast, was less than average. Bread Ok but coffee and drinks were terrible (when the machine worked) Were confronted with extra taxes at our departure (euro 27) and our creditcard (Mastercard) was not accepted. Overall: OK as a sleeping place for a few nights, but less than expected. Would not go there again.

I was very shocked by this hotel. It was very cheap, but as it was classified as a 4 star, I was expecting decent quality, but it is 1 or 2 star. The food in the restaurant was of poor quality. During breakfast, I saw several dead cockroaches on the floor. The room was noisey from both outside and the corridor. The bathroom had a strong smell of sewage. The room was very hot and the air conditioning did not work properly. The room was dirty. The beds were uncomfortable. We left a day early and found another hotel as I was concerned about the health risk to my family associated with the cockroaches.

This is not a 4 stars hotel, is like a 3 stars, the room have not maintenance, a 4 stars Hotels is another not this.

Reasonable price. Good service. Nothing around the hotel, only pizzeria and one place called restaurant. Breakfast is not like in ***** hotel, but good enough. Very easy to go to city center - shuttle bus right from the hotel or in 2 km big free parking and metro station. Anyway, i got more than expected and i would suggest to stay in this hotel to everyone who wants good service for the cheap price and prpared to spend 15-30 minutes to reach city center.

Hotel-Service was good (English-speaking), the double-room with bath-room were roomy, all OK and clean. The hotel's rating is a 4 star-hotel (in europe-hotel-ranking), we think it is a good 3-star-hotel. In the near there is an military academy and to different times there ist a loud trumped-like noise, also early in the morning but it doesn't break the sleep really. The breakfast was every day the same, no variety, but acceptable. The bus-shuttle to / from the city center was very good, but the departure times are sometimes not so good, for example - AM: 7:45h, 09:45h - return 16:45h 20:45h, 23:30h. We'd like they have more times like 8:45h or 18:00h.

The room was very good, clean and large enough. the bathroom was also very good. We were in Rome for a holiday to visit the city. The shuttle was a splendid possibility to reach the city.

We travel a lot and therefore we have been disappointed about the hotel rouge et noir. even for an hotel in a capital city, the room was too small. in fact they sall a 2 bedroom for a 4 bedroom. the hotel is much too far from the center but you can use the bus shuttle form the hotel for 3 euro per person. the beds were small as well. we love italian mentality, love the country, loved roma, but will surely not return to rouge et noir.

Room and hotel very beautiful. The room is clean and big. The only fault is that is not in the center, but there is one bus from the hotel to the center, or if you want there is one metro at 1.5 km from the hotel.

Hotel was fine, the morning buffet not at the level as choice but enough as quality. Relationship price/quality is very high as in the center of the city. I surely suggest this hotel as my first choice

It would be very helpfull if the hotel add some more infortmation to "how to reach" per plain or train. Tell the number of stations from Tiburtina or Termini and - especially - the direction the guest must take. The same for the bus 211. Tell them the final station so that they know the direction.

All the indications were great except for the bus information...(if you go without car) when you get the 211 bus, they will get you to Via pietralata, you have to wait until you see a Yellow AGIP (gas station) and then stop the bus and get out there, because if you waint until the entrance of the hotel, its not good because you will be walking next to road, and you can be caught by a car. So get out before on the yellow gas station and looking the gas station on the left there is an small street that will take you to the door of the hotel. It´s a bid difficult, but it worked ;) and its not going to be dangerous.

All though we only stayed 4 days in Rome it was perfect. The location of the hotel was a little far from city center but you can take the hotel bus that only costs 3 euros per person. The breakfast was great, the staff was ok.

The price is too high for this type of Hotel. It's like a 2 stars hotel not a 4 stars! Is quite far from the center. The rooms are not good cleaned and they smell like a sewer.

The map on Venere was not accurate. Address given on Venere website "Via Cosimo De 'Giorgi 8" was difficult to locate and we got lost using public transit to get there and had to get a taxi to take us. Taxi couldn't find the hotel at first either until he asked someone and they said they were at "Via Di Pietralata 162" which was on a main street that was easier to locate. Reception at hotel was not pleasant upon arrival when we told them about the discrepancy in the addresses. Hotel is in the suburbs and alot farther from town then we expected. Reception also didn't tell us until we asked next day that they had a daily shuttle to train station for 3 euros much more convenient for getting downtown. Since we didn't know about the daily shuttle we took the local Pietralata bus which took over an hour including the wait time to get to the Pietralata Metro Station. Otherwise despite the lacklustre reception desk person the evening we arrived (the other ones afterward were nice) the room was ok for me and my 2 grown sons. A bit noisy on our last night from some late night family reunion party in the hotel but otherwise ok. Couldn't really complain as the price we paid was 110 euros a night for a triple which was a pretty reasonable price to pay for Rome area.

It is rated as a 4 star hotel but when i compare it with other hotels that i had stayed even some 2 star hotels were better fo the area of the room. the beds were bed and the room was small for 4 people. i think they had converted a 2 people room to 4 people room with extra beds.

Good hotel. Confortable room. Good for people traveling by car, because they have free parking lot, and from the hotel you can drive until the Metro Station Pietrala e leave the car there to go to the tourist points. Without car, you need to take a bus to reach the metro station.

Rooms very very spacious, quiet, comfortable. In general, very comfortable hotel. The free parking has been very appreciated. The sole defects were the very small and not perfectly working TV color, the cleanliness of the chairs tapestry and the difficulty to reach the center of the town by the public tranports. But, in general, good relationship between price and quality.

It was the first time for me in this hotel. The only thing that "I didn't like" was the distance between the hotel and the stopped of the underground. I had understood by the description on the web pages that the hotel was very closed the "Pietralata" stopped.
