At arrival I got a single room completely impossible (very small and poor). At complaint I got a 1,20 bed room with an impossible bathroom that was in promotion at 89 Euro, but since I booked the room with you at 95 Euro I had to pay 95 Euro.....

I have stayed here before, 6 years ago for one night, and stayed for two nights, and I knew what to expect. Location Location Location! I would certainly stay here again - Rome is to be enjoyed in its atractions, not in a hotel room.

We ordered a twin bedded room. We thought we can get a room with a double bed or two beds next to each other. But we got a tiny little "room" where the beds were in one line with almost no space to get to the second bed. The room had no window to open or to get daylight!! Breakfast buffet is ridiculous! If you are lucky you got one of the 4 small tables where you can only two cups and one plate ... We wouldn't recommend this hotel as you can imagine!

This hotel is in an ideal location for site seeing by foot! Can't beat the location. The rooms were clean and quiet. The staff was warm and friendly. Service was great. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to my friends.

One bathroom had a mildew problem and the other a broken shower door that was not fixed for 2 days. I know hotels in Rome are expensive but for 200 euros for a double and 220 for a triple this was very disappointing. The place needs a renovation. Moreover, the coffee at breakfast wai undrinkable, the bread was stale and the milk was spoiled. I do not expect opulence but these details should be fixed.

This was our first trip to Europe and we were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of all we met and the accommodations of the Hotel Renascimento. Our visit to Rome will be a lasting memory and we especially were happy with the location and spacious bathroom facilities. My husband and I started our day with breakfast downstairs (I enjoyed the yogurt with dried cereal and coffee while Tom liked the croissants with cream cheese and juice) and slept like logs after each busy day of touring (we didn't even turn on the television). The staff was kind enough to keep our luggage in a side room on our last day after check-out until later in the day when we met the limo to the airport(which the hotel arranged for us). The only drawback was the small elevator (hard to fit us and our luggage), but it always worked and saved us a climb to the third floor. Clean sheets and towels were a comfort each day and the people at the front desk spoke enough English for us to communicate a wake-up call and answer any questions we had. We would suggest a place in the shower to set the soap, but we very satisfied with a clean, hot shower with plenty of room in the bathroom. I'm so glad we found this hotel on-line as it was within walking distance to many of the places we enjoyed visiting and hanging out at. Bus service was only a block away to get us to other parts of the city. We threw our coins in at Trevi Fountain and hope to come back someday. Thank you for a nice stay.

We visited in March 2006. We had booked 2 double/twin rooms as we were 2 couples travelling about one month in advance. One of the rooms was really more suitable for children. It was probably originally a hallway or corridor that they made into a room. Two single beds sideways along one wall with the headboards meeting! We asked could we get a more suitable room for a couple and were informed that the hotel was booked out. We were given a double room for one night only and had to move back to original room the next morning. I would therefore advise people to specify that they want a double room when booking and avoid room 306! Room 304 is fine. I would also request a non sm oking room when booking.

I stayed in one of the single rooms at the Rinasciment. It was a cute, clean room. Very small, but fine for a single traveller. The area was filled with different shops and cafes. Attractions were close as well. The cost is high due to location, but it could be lowered for the value. The only negative thing that I would have to share is that I woke up with little bug bites all over me, so my theory is that there were bedbugs present!

This hotel was in a great location & the room was very spacious for a hotel in Europe. The breakfast was great too. The only problems we had was the shower flooded the bathroom floor & you could hear the tv from the next persons room. All in all though, we enjoyed the hotel & would stay here again.

The room did not have internet access as promised. The breakfast was the same every day canned fruit, not fresh and same old rolls. The rooms were very small and the bathroom flooded everytime you took a shower. I will never stay there again-even for free.

My Wife and I stayed here in mid sept 2005 for 5 nights and booked this hotel a week before we arrived, this was the only hotel available in the area we wanted to stay in so were a bit worried about what the hotel would be like. We were pleasantly surprised. fairly good, clean, comfortable, tiny bathroom but didnt concern us as both of us are quite small. excellant location just 2 minutes from Campo de Flori. expect some noise although it didnt bother us too much as the windows are double glazed. The cost of the rooms are quite pricy for what they are but then all hotels in rome are not cheap and you are paying for the location on this hotel. everything was within a managable walking distance from the hotel. we would consider staying here again.

We arrived late in the day and there was an English speaking lady to greet us. No one to help with bags. No one to help us into our rooms. Our desk chair was filthy! The bathroom was small but clean. We did not get clean towels the first day since we did not put our dirty towels on the floor. Great location, near the Campo and Piazza Navona and Pantheon and the Corso to walk to the Vatican. The breakfast was a joke. The staff was very nice and helpful.

The hotel's location was great, my room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The windows opened into an airshaft which meant no picturesque view, but this also kept the room quiet. Though the breakfast area was small, each day no more than 1 or 2 other tables were being used, so this was never a problem. The lack of space in the room didn't really bother me since I didn't spend much time there, but the tight space in the bathroom was quite inconvenient. I'm 6'1", and the shower didn't leave much room to move, and I found that my knees literally hit the wall when sitting on the toilet. My one quibble with the place is that the price seems a bit high given how uncomfortable the bathroom is.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Rinascimento. The location and the staff pushed this hotel over the top. We were able to walk to all of the sights as well as enjoy the Campo de Fiori area. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When my luggage was delayed they assisted me in calling the airline. We would definitely stay in this Hotel again.

A nice clean hotel, potentially noisy due to location though I was lucky and had an inside room. Friendly on reception and good English spoken. Continental breakfast offered of a good standard. Perfectly placed for all the sights and close to lively squares with bars restaurants etc. I would stay again.

The single rooms in this hotel are minute and the windows open on to a very small light well that was used as a service vent for the heating system. The first room I was offered was on the second floor and boiling hot. When I opened the "window" even hotter air came in from the vent. Eventually I agreed to a very small twin-bedded room on the third floor, again with a "window" on to a light-well cum service vent, but at least one could see a tiny bit of the sky. There was an incessant humming noise coming from the heating vents through the open window. I tried the air conditioning, but that was even noisier. Make sure you book a room that overlooks via del Pellegrino! The bathroom was tiny, but modern and very clean. The location, however, is excellent and provided I could book a room overlooking the street, I would use this hotel again. The single rooms I was shown are ludicrously overpriced.

I ordered this hotel due to the positive feedbacks on www.venere.com. And I must say that I was not disappointed. The location is perfect next to Campo de' Fiori, the staff is very kind and helpful, the room was nice (however, small bath room) and very clean. I saw on the feedbacks that some persons had smaller rooms. This room - room 304 - was excellent and the view great. Be aware that the hotel also has one minor room with a terrasse. New Year's Eve we celebrated at "Al Bric", an excellent restaurant in the same street: Via del Pellegrino, 51-52. www.bric.it We look forward to coming back to hotel Rinascimento.

If the bathroom was any smaller, you would have to stand with one foot in the toilet and one in the bidet in order to use the shower. Remainder of room acceptable, great location. Waste of money for 150 Euro, stay out of the City, and ctahc the train in.

Everything the other guests said was true: the location is convenient and pleasant, the staff exceptionally kind and attentive, the place clean as a pin,the rooms furnished very adequately. Unfortunately their comments on the size of the rooms was also true and in all seriousness I would never recommend the place to a very large person or someone at all claustrophobic. My first room was so small I couldn´t stand it, but they very willingly changed it as soon as they could. I WOULD stay there again.

Hotel Rinascimento is everything you could wish for from an Italian hotel! Big it ain't (if all the guests turn up for breakfast at the same time you can't all fit in the dining room!) but it's charming. We had a twin room which was at the front of the building. With the windows open it was a bit noisy, but the room had very good double glazing and air conditioning so there was no need to have them open other than to soak up the atmosphere! It's perfectly located to walk to all the things you HAVE to see in Rome (but if you take nothing else take comfortable shoes!). It's also just round the corner from the Campo di Fiori which has some great bars and restaurants and a daily market. Go to a restaurant called Magnolia for some amazing salads. There's honestly nothing we'd have changed about the Rinascimento. It's great!

The hotel was in an excellent location. I presume that this is the reason it charged 600 Euro for the stay, as the hotel room was extremely small, but clean. The Bathroom facilities were particularly cramped and inconvenient. Staff were very friendly

Although small, the room was perfectly adequate for the time we spent in it. Staff were friendly and efficient, and the location of the hotel was excellent - we were able to walk to all of the places we wished to visit. In the evenings the Campo di Fiori at the top of the via was lively and entertaining, and we had a wonderful meal at the Farnese Hosteleria. The area felt safe, and there were banks a short distance away on the main road. We feel we should also mention the wonderful guide Jay who is with Pegasus Tours - go with Jay to the Palantine Hills and on the Vatican Museums Tour for fantastic, informed tours which you will never forget. Jay's knowledge really made the Forum and the Renaissance come alive and the information was absolutely accurate. We would definitely go back to the Renascimento - use their airport car service to get to and from the airport: its cheap and reliable!

The stay in Rome was fantastic, with the best hotel location in an arty area, much better than the Spanish Steps and Vatican which, although all of Rome was pretty wonderful, were a bit too touristy for my liking. The artisan workshops along from the hotel and the shops around the Piazza del Fiori were just amazing: I was thrilled to see a woodcarver and bought a piece of his work for my cottage here in England. Rome and this hotel are now at the top of my list for another visit. The hotel is placed just right to walk to all of the places you must see. Around every corner was another wonderful building in those beautiful faded colours or another breathtaking sculpture, and the juxtaposition of ancient and modern is truly magnificent.

Rinascimento totally met our expectations. The central location on a narrow but busy one way street was like a story book. We were welcomed cordially by staff and shown to a room overlooking the street where we could watch the world go by. The room was spacious enough for our two large bags plus backpacks. The bathroom was a bit of a challenge for a 6 ft. 1 in 100 kg. person but it was well worth taking up for the ambience and the location. We walked to all of the major attractions in 15-20 minutes or less.

This is a very well run hotel in, for us, an ideal situation. The room had adequate wardrobe and shelf facilities; the main disadvantage was the shower room which was very small (a work of art to include a toilet, wasbasin, bidet and shower in the space) with a wet floor after showering. Avoid the coffee at breakfast.

This is a lovely little hotel. I have lived in Rome, lead tours and was eager to spend some intimate time in Rome again. The hotel was as described it is well located near Campo Dei Fiori and Piazza Navona. Right in the heart of the historic center. I have no complanits about the hotel. The help, from the desk person to the maids, was top notch. All were very friendly and helpful. The windows are made to keep noise out and do a fine job. Being there at New Years however, made for extreme outside noise, some the windows could not keep out. It was costly compoared to what I normally spend but the dollar is down. All in all the stay was just fine, friendly people, sweet little breakfast room, well situated, clean. I would happilly return.

I mentioned as request on my reservation "bright and spacious room". My room was a room on the 3rd floor but with no daylight at all ! There was a window but giving on a 2 squared meter "courtyard" so no view and no day light. The staff was very friendly and I could change room the next day but it's still a pity about the first day and I think they should not use this room for their clients.

Rinascimento is an excellent choice for a stay in Rome. The rooms are perhaps confided, but they are adequate. The main asset is the location, near Campo di Fiori, one of the most charming piazzas, and all the historical attractions of Rome within walking distance. Being in the centre of the old town, you can avoid the rather oppressive traffic and enjoy walks, piazzas and people. And the hotel staff was friendly, too.

Nice, small and clean hotel with the best location at all. Only from 5 to 30 minutes per pedes to all places. Employees are friendly and the breakfast is good. The staff, hotel etc were very good themselves and helpful. However I selcted to pay a higher rate on your website through selecting a king size room therefore, expecting a king size bed and a more spacious room. The room we had only had a double bed and was very small. When I asked the staff about this they stated that the room was indeed a king size- this was very dissapointing and not worth the extra charge of 100 euros!

We chose the Rinascimento because we wanted to be in the Campo De Fiori area. The location was just what we were looking for. The hotel is centrally located Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, St Peter's and Trastevere. One block off Vittorio Emmanuel (bus routes). The accomodations are standard (rooms are small), no frills. However, the rooms are clean, have TV's, a safe, AC and the street is quiet. The staff is friendly and went out of their way to help us with any questions or requests we had. We would defintely stay there again.

While this hotel is in a great location, the room was a bit small, but adequate for two friends travelling together. However, the bathroom was unacceptably small, and it was impossible to shower in the bathroom without flooding everything. Given our 4 night stay, this situation became a major inconvenience. Even for one traveller, the room would be tight. The breakfast room was also tiny, but the breakfast itself was acceptable. Not sure I would return unless a better room could be reserved.

The Hotel Rinascimento's location is just perfect: a couple of blocks from Campo di Fiore, a few more blocks from Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, and a short stroll to the river. The room was very small as was the bathroom, but adequate; we weren't there to spend time lounging in the hotel so it was more than serviceable. (Note: The elevator sure came in handy.) The staff was very accomodating and pleasant; our pitiful Italian was not a problem as most of the staff was at least bi-lingual (English and Italian, and some German). It's a good, quiet, pleasant place to stay in the European tradition, and some really fine restaurants are within a couple of blocks...Restaurant Walter is just 3 doors down and was very, very good. One minor issue was that the a/c wasn't functioning when we arrived; it was early in the season (Friday May 2) and an unexpected heat wave pushed Rome's temps to around 90F...but the hotel's walls are thick and the place was cool even without the a/c. The staff was very apologetic for not finding their serviceman over the holiday weekend (May 1 is Labor Day), and to their credit they did have it working by Sunday afternoon. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel even though it was included in the rate, preferring instead to sit outside and watch the goings on at Campo di Fiore, but from what we saw laid out on the buffet they offered fresh juice, hot coffee, fresh pastries and fruit, and (I think) some sort of cheese tray. I'd stay there again, but I would pay the 30+ Euros for the larger room. Then again, it's a good incentive to get out and find an outdoor cafe and sip some wine!
