The Hotel Quattro Fontana has a good location, which for us was the only redeeming factor. The room we had was classed as "superior Double" but was so small that we had nothing really other than a bed. It also only had one power socket next to the door which meant that it got knocked out if the door was opened. In this modern age, i could not believe that the hotel owners could not put in a couple of power-points by the desk where they would have been useful. That though is a mute point as the clothes storage was so poor that most of them stayed in the suitcase. The room was so small, it could not be classed as comfortable as the bed was the only place to sit. But with paper thin walls, not only could we hear what the people next door were saying, but were woken up by their mobile phone alarm. AT nearly 200 euro for the first night stay, this in not a hotel we will stay in again. I advise anyone who decides to stay in this hotel, check out what room you are going to get before booking and don't be fooled by titles such as "superior", it is no such thing.

The room and hotel were quite nice, however the beds were horrible in the Quad room (5th floor room 7). The couch had a horrible hump in the middle which made it impossible to sleep on and the pillows if you could call them that were 2 inches thick and useless. When other pillows were requested none were available. Twice when we requested a taxi large enough for 4 adults plus 4 suitcases we were sent cars only large enough for two. Also because the concierge convinced us to delay departure for the airport because he felt three hours was too much, it almost cost us our flight home.

Great location, spacious clean rooms. My room had two levels, bedroom up a fairly steep flight of stairs so if you had a night bladder problem and werent a sailor used to narrow stairs could be a problem. Only downfall was the sour woman working when I arrived who didnt offer any kind of welcome or even respond to a smile - really off putting. Also, there is a small flight of stairs at the entrance and it would have been nice for staff to offer to take bags up on arrival and down on departure.

The shower leaked water. The reception area was very nice. The air conditioner was not adequate to cool the room. The breakfast area was very nice, and the staff was friendly.

This hotel was alright. Being the middle of summer the aircon didn't work very well and breakfast was not quite what I expected but the staff were quite nice and spoke very good english giving us some good advise about bus No.64 (the pickpocket express) hold onto your wallet at all times. Hotel was close to spanish steps and trevi fountain- even more beautiful at night. Restaurants in piazza barberini were wonderful. The Italian hospitality was great as they love children and we felt very welcome.

This hotel actually exceeded our expectations, the room was quite large and clean. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, even suggesting places for dinner. It’s location meant we were able to walk everywhere (with 3 small children) even to the Colosseum and Vatican, not for the unfit though. Read many complaints about the breakfast on this website but we thought it was ok, quite standard for Italy.

We were disappointed when we first arrived with the size of the room but the room and the hotel actually grew on us.we booked a junior suite which is much better than the standard room which is tiny. Great location....close to lots of major tourist attractions without being too close. We had a lovley outlook down a cobbled back lane. The breakfast was basic but it is easy to go out for breakfast to one of the many cafes nearby. The service is 'italian' ..a little cool at first but actually very helpful. Rome is amazing....expensive but worth it!

The website did not highlight the close proximity to Barberini Metro Station which makes this hotel extremely convenient. Although this was not a high end property, given the prices in Rome, we found that it offered quite good quality for the amount we spent. Our children loved the loft bedroom and we had a small but friendly dispute over who slept where. Our only complaint is that the sofabed is very uncomfortable for adults, so after a sleepless night, our children moved down to the sofa while we took the loft. Breakfast was great. Desk staff were superb and multilingual. Cleaning staff were polite and efficient.

Overall I was very pleased with Nuovo Hotel Quattro Fontane. The location was ideal for sightseeing. The only thing I would recommend is that the suggest a better Metro stop - there is one just a few blocks away, as opposed to the one on their site that made it difficult to find the hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised with the size of our room. Having traveled in Europe before, we knew rooms could be very small, but the room we received for a family of 4 was nice a spacious. I was also concerned about noise due to comments from others, but our room was very quiet (even with the Soccer celebrations). Maybe due to being on the top floor. The best thing about the hotel was the location and convenience to restaraunts, shopping and the metro.

This hotel was in an execellent location, looked good and had a nice breakfast. However, many of its rooms seem to have a mezzanine floor to make room for a bed. whereas this looks good, heat gets trapped next to the ceiling, where the bed is. we had both very large windows open all night in February and still we could not breathe. In addition we had the joy of listening to speeding Romans all night. On departure, we discovered that the recption's credit card readers cannot read chip and pin cards. despite having a compliant reader on the desk, and having our credit card details from this site, we were instructed to go to the cash machine to pay our bill. Needless to say I went sight seeing before I returned with funds, which at least made the receptionist concerned!

The hotel is within walking distance of Termini station but you will need a map. Our room was upgraded for free, possibly because it was low season, it had a mezzanine level and views out to the front of the hotel. It would have been noisy except for the effective double glazing. There was plenty of selection at breakfast considering it was advertised as continental. The receptionist was very friendly when we arrived and explained where all the main visitor attractions where in relation to the hotel. I would definately stay at this hotel again because of the high standard and location, I have also recommended it to friends and family considering a trip to Rome.

Room furnishing was rather basic, but hotel was well situated for Metro services, Trevi Fountain and shopping areas. Also, their credit card machine didn't read my chip and pin card, which has never before or since had problems. Lady on desk not helpful at this point.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The location was perfect to visit easily all places of interest. The room was quiet but very small compared to the photographs on the web site ! And our view was very bad (little window in front of a wall). Breakfast was excellent. The price is a little high considering the cleanliness and spaciousness of the room.

My friend Janet and I had a great time in Rome. From the moment we arrived, everything went very smoothly. The cab that the hotel arranged for us was waiting for us at the airport, we arrived very early at the hotel and our room was ready so we were able to go and freshen up and off we went. The hotel is very centrally located, we walked to all the sights in Rome. The staff was very personable and helpful. They were very informative about restaurants and things to do in Rome. My e-mails before the trip regarding any concerns that I had were answered promptly. We had a wonderful experience in Rome and loved the hotel.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Nuovo Hotel Quattro Fontane. The bathroom was really nice, and the good continental breakfast was a great way of "re-fueling" before hitting the streets of Rome.
