Great hotel - we were actually upgraded to their 4 star hotel due to plumbing issues which we were very pleased about. This really is a review for the Hotel Dock but...

Great hotel - we were actually upgraded to their 4 star hotel due to plumbing issues which we were very pleased about. This really is a review for the Hotel Dock but the quality of room I'm sure is shared throughout the business. The only issues were lack of changing toilet rolls and restocking the 'mini-bar' and no welcome slips for guests. Overall great rooms with excellent air conditioning, decoration and size.

Room small and not very clean. TV not working. Good location, near to Termini station. Few nice restaurants around the hotel.

A very nice hotel with colourful decoration of room. The TV screen in the room is big enought to enjoy the program in the bed. 15 minutes of walking to the Roma Termini make it more suitable for traveller. But the breakfast offers limited option.

This was the first time we stayed at Hotel Prince Galles. Me and my family (my wife and two children, age 6 and 10) found an excellent relationship btween price/quality. Another quality: the hotel is near the Termini train station and the underground.

Overall great value stay with a fantastic room and and sparkling bathroom! Excellent! Cleanliness of stairs and elevator can be improved. Stair carpet needs deep cleaning. Breakfast quality on the low - can be improved.

The room is increditably spacious and bathroom is sparkless. We (a family of 4) were absolutely surprised by the quality of the room relative to the price we paid in the tourist town (Rome, Italy).

A few blocks from Termini Station, the Prince Galles and the Hotel Galles share the same building but entrances are opposite from each other. Galles is more refined. We stayed at Prince Galles, which has a quite small and narrow entrance (it feels as if you were entering through the service area of Hotel Galles...) There is a lift but a few steps before you reach it. Staff was nice, specially the reception desk employees at Prince Galles. The room was big and cleaned but we had to ask for soap and toilet paper refills. Breakfast is served at Galles, which means we had to go around the block - no big deal. Breakfast is good - coffee, tea, bread, croissant, preserved fruits (prunes, pineapples), cereal, and the usual individually packed butter, jam, honey, and so on.

It was a very nice hotel in recpect to the ratio - price/quality. It is located not far from the railway station (Termini) but in a quiet quartier. The room is small but nice, it was cleaned every day and bed linen was changed for each day.The bathroom was spacious with real bath (not with showel cabin). The breakfast was testy and very rich (abubdant). The staff is frendly and kind. At receiption there is a lady speaking Russian. Only two remarks: not correct Hotel address is indicated on the site - you should enter the Hotel from the opposite side. Entrance is from the Viale Pretorio (next street which is parallel to Palestro). And second thing is not good sound isolation in the room. In any case, it is very comfortable hotel to have vacation and pleasure in Rome.

Very unfriendly staff not helpful, it says nothing in the add that all the rooms have stairs up to the bedroom and you have to use the bathroom downstairs, when I went to see if they had a room on one floor they were not helpful and offered me a small room with a single bed and there were 2 of us It was insulting to even show us that instead of saying there was nothing else available. The other problem with this hotel is they have sister hotels so you dont know where you will be staying we were sent to the other hotel and then they sent us back to the original hotel we went into, so we were dragging our bags all over the place. Their pictures are inaccurate and they were the most unfriendly place we stayed in italy. I would never recommend or go back to this hotel

I booked two rooms in the Prince Galles Hotel (a twin and a double). Instead, I was accommodated in the Madison Hotel and the first twin room offered was absolutely unacceptable - dirty walls, a very poor access to the bathroom (over a bed!) and a smell of cigarette smoke. The room was changed after my complaint. So, I am not sure whether I stayed in the Prince Galles Hotel or I was transferred somewhere else because of the high demand for accommodation in Rome at this time.

The Prince Galles is close to the train station. Really just 3 blocks away when you exit the station on the right (track 1). When we got to the address, we were told that our room was at their sister hotel around the corner. We expected the worst and were pleansntly surprised by the friendliness of the front desk clerk and the size of the room and bathroom. The was a tub, not the usual postage stamp shower stall in room of that price. Because an early check-out meant we would miss the included breakfast, the hotel prepared a bag breakfast for us to take with us. My only suggestion would be to call or Email in advance to find out if your are staying at the main location or around the corner.

We were sent to the Hotel Galles after we attemped to check in at Prince Galles. (Just around the corner.) Kind of a pain since we had just traveled from Sorrento and were dragging all of our gear from the train station. The Hotel Galles was great though, the quad room had a loft and wonderful storage!

Although we received a confirmation for this hotel when we arrived the desk attendant - who spoke only Italian - knew nothing of it and eventually directed us to the Galles Hotel (different hotel, same owners) 200 meters away at the back of the block on a different street...not a good start. The worst brekfast of any hotel we stayed in.

This is the only time I can remember where our room was nicer than the picture. We were VERY happy with this hotel. Short walk to the train station and that would get you around the city. There was even a jacuzzi that was not advertised!

It was my second visit to Prince Galles, but compared to my previous visit, the level of service offerred was really low. People at the reception desk were not so friendly, space for breakfast was really small, and so on. I don't want to say this, but I regret staying at Prince Galles.

This hotel worked well for us--easy to get to on foot from Termini, quiet, air-conditioned, nice bathroom. dim lighting, but we were not in Rome to sit in our room and read! The only confusion came at registering--this hotel is on several properties. We were accommodated, just that it took a bit more maneuvering than we planned. No big deal. WE would stay here again.

I have been to Rome several times and truly enjoyed my stay at the Galles, both for the convenience and location of the property. My party had too much luggage to carry for the remainder of our trip, and the hotel staff graciously stored our extra luggage......at no charge.....until we returned for a one night stay at the end of our trip. I will definitely stay at the Galles again!!

The address given on your site is actually the back door of the hotel. we went there and were told to go around the building to the front to register and then come back. Not convienent. Our room had a 3/4 size mattress on a larger boxspring and was not suitable for two people. The hotel lobby was small and dirty. Our key didn't work in the door and because we were on the other side of the block and the front lobby was not connected to our rooms it took quite a while to straighten out. The hotel is just a couple of blocks from the train station which was handy but overall it was the most expensive and least enjoyable of all the places we stayed in Italy.

The service at the hotel was not that great, something we encounter quite often in Italy. The hotel staff just didn't seem to care about our concerns. The shower in the bathroom was covered with mould, something else we encountered quite frequently in Italy. Another negative aspect of the hotel was the location. Quite far from any of the main sights in Florence, but the convienient part is that the hotel is quite close to the train station. Not a bad hotel, but you could definitely find a better place for the same amount.

Finding the entrance was not straight forward. The entrance is on the Viale Castro Pretoria and NOT the Via Palestro! Though clean and comfortable, the hotel suffered from faded grandeur both inside and out. It catered for several large groups as well as couples and families - the result were delays at brerakfast (which were worstened due to there being only one hot drink dispenser!) and the small public areas were soon over-crowded. The staff were very efficient (as was the air conditioning) and although we had a room facing the busy street, the sound-proofing was excellent in the bedroom. The bathroom boasted the biggest shower area we've ever had in Italy - not a cramped corner unit. Very convenient for the station and the Metro

We booked a double room and were given a room with a 3 quarter bed, one pillow and one set of towells. When we complained we were told that this was classed as a double room. We had to then make do with that for the first night while they located another room. The second room was ok, althougth the TV did not work, the shower was broken, and the fixtures and fittings were a bit battered. This looked like an impressive hotel at fist glance but it really is not a good option. Also the address given on the website was wrong, took us ages to find it!!!

Due to problems with the 3- and 4-bedroom rooms, Prince Galles offered us an upgrade to one of their 4-star hotels. We were driven there by taxi and got a nice bedroom for four at the same price as agreed. Good service, we were better off this way.

Hello! There were not rooms in Prince Galles when we arrived. But we were taken by taxi to the hotel Dock which is 4 stars. It was somehow related with Prince Galles. The hotel we stayed is part of Prince Galles Hotel. However, we can only check in at the Prince Hotel, which is located two street corners away. It would be helpful if the website indicates this clearly. The room is clean and spacious. Very dim, not enough artificial lighting. One of the breakfast staff yelled at the guest for a small, neglectable mishap. The location of the hotel is quite close to subway and train station. Overall, for the price we paid, it is decent.

The hotel is convenient to the train station and the rooms were beautiful. The name is a bit confusing in that the web site calls it Hotel Prince Galles when in fact the hotel Prince is located on the main street- and is where you check in and have breakfast; but the hotel Galles is located around the corner on the opposite side of the building. This was no big deal, but it would be helpful to have some clarification. There is only one problem encountered during our stay- the air conditioner was not working in our room and the air cooler that was substituted kept shutting off whe the water collection bin was full. The room was a loft style and was very attractive but also very hot when the A/C not functioning. This made sleeping very difficult. Overall, this hotel very good value for its location, the staff were helpful, breakfast was provided. Internet cafe / laundramat is just across the street; as is litte cafe that sells gelato, cappucino as well as snacks.
