The orly thing good is the location. Excellent just near Campo di Fiori. But the rooms and all the hôtel are so poors. No charm at all. The beds are not good. The worst is the breakfast : nothing else rhan a bad coffee and some cereals. Believe me, you're going to take your breakfast outside.

If there's one thing we can not fault the hotel Pomezia, it is its location. Located in the historic heart of Rome, the access to the facility is rather easy, if indeed that is familiar with the Roman bus system (the very one who has no plan and whose drivers don't announce the name of the stations). I can not complain ... it was just as I expected. Positive feedback - simple, quite clean hotel, very centrally located, not exaggerated behaviour of the staff ... Not negative feedback, but rather comments why you may not want to choose this hotel: - they don't change linen everyday - breakfast very simple, not changed during whole stay - stairs - no elevator ... so be fit :) One negative feedback - bathroom, needs better cleaning... Hotel more for easygoing people who really do not expect at least 3* services, but simple 2*.

The Hotel Pomezia is in a great location - most of the sites are in walking distance, even the Vatican City which is only a 20min walk. I did not find the front desk staff too friendly though and the rooms are quite noisy. But would probably recommend it just because of the location. My room was a double, so the size was quite good. And it was neat & clean. The wifi was problematic.

For the price, this hotel is okay. There was nothing special about the rooms, in fact, I would describe them as sort of dingy. However, the showers were hot, there were plenty of clean towels, and the beds were not the most uncomfortable I slept in while traveling around Europe. The road noise was noticable. The location was pretty good and in walking distance to the Colliseum, Pantheon, and some of the other major sites. It is also close to a lively plaza with lots of restaurants and gelato stores. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the room included a continental-type breakfast which was pretty good and enough to get you started for the day. I would say if you are just looking for a crash pad, this place isn't bad and the price is right. However, I wouldn't recommend it as a romantic getaway for honeymooners.

For travellers: remember you may or have to reserve the rooms in first floor because this hotel don´t have elevators, and is a three floor building. First commit with personell of the hotel they have to do the cleaning of the rooms every day, then you must remember to him change towels also. Also you have to carry your own shampoo and soaps.

Giuseppe is a wonderful host. Very funny, warm - goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. This is a wonderful find - great price, location, rooms are large and clean, breakfast is in a charming room. But you'll love Giuseppe. We asked him to recommend a good, low cost restaurant. When he felt we were too confused about directions, he offered to drive us to it. The only negative in our experience was finding the place. It's right off of a main street, but in a courtyard - once found we loved it. Also, if you have a car, they have secure, locked parking at no charge, right next to the Pomezia - a huge plus in Palermo.

The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of the Centre of Rome. You can easily walk everywhere - or take a bus at a nearby bus stop. My room was spacy because I stayed alone in a double room - for two people it would have been a bit small. But it was clean and as it was a room not to the front it was quiet.

Hotel Pompezia was in a great location, however the staff were very rude and disinterested. They rang every morning to try and get us out of the room for housekeeping...I have young adult children who like to sleep in...and we are on holidays!! They changed the towels every 3 days. The breakfast was very basic. I would not reccommend this hotel. Stay in this area, just not here!!The family room was tiny, not room for luggage for 4 people. Bathroom was not very clean.

Location is great, breakfast is poor - we just supplied with our own muesli and fresh bread from the no.1 bakery in Rome "Forno" across the street. When in good mood you might get lucky to be served a real espresso/Cppucino from the real machine behind the breakfast bar instead of the bad 'selfservice' machine in the breakfast room. But hey - Location beats bad coffee

Very basic hotel. We stayed in the familyroom on the third floor. There was no elevator. The room smelled strange, there was mould on the walls and in the shower! Dirty towels that we left on the floor were not replaced by clean ones. They just put them back on the towelrack. The hotel is quite noisy, you hear every sound that comes from stairs. The owner of this hotel is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately some of the other personnel don't say much to you, not even when we left. But the location is great! Close to Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, Pantheon and Trevi fountain. That is the only reason to go to this hotel.

Basic, well priced, centrally located hotel. Aircon in room so you can keep the windows closed to almost remove the noise from passers by late at night. Breakfast boring, same every day lots of jam/honey/cream cheese/pastries, bread had very hard crusts (baker must have been in a bad mood). Selection not very good for a diabetic although you could get by and have as much as you liked. Coffe not bad considering it was from the usual Italian hotel breakfast room dispenser. Pomezia is an optimal choice for those who wish to stay in Rome for 1-2-3 days and see it all. It is in the very center, you can reach all main points of interest in Rome by foot. Rates are optimal for a 2-star hotel in the very center of the city. A slight drawback of this hotel is poor sound insulation, but maybe it was so only in our room in front of stairs.

I think that Pomezia hotel is the very good hotel in the combination law price-quality-location. Our room was small, but for travelers like us it was the best variant. We spent only the night in the hotel and the whole morning-day-evening we were in the city. I don't see any necessity to overpay for extra comfort. The location of the hotel is perfect!!! And I'll never forget the staircase in the hotel. :) After the whole day spent walking to go up was a difficult task. But ROMA is the best city in the world and I will repeat again that location of the hotel is perfect!!!

We stayed at the hotel Pomezia for three nights and we paid 100 €/night. We are really satisfied with the price - quality relationship because everything that was stated in the hotel web site and this web site was true. Our room was in the third floor and our window was to the street side. We didn't hear any disturbing traffic noices, because the street is almost too small for any cars to drive in it. By the way, if you take the taxi form the airport you should give really good instructions because the street Via dei Chiviari a bit hard to find! The room was cleaned every day. If you have a bad condition or you are an elderly person, the third floor with steep floors is not for you. Remember also that you need a remote control for the air condition to work - you can ask it from the reception. Because the hotel is quite small it has this nice homy and cozy atmoshere. The breakfast included coffee or tea, white bread with jam and cheese and different kind of cereals. The best thing about the hotel is of course its location. We walked to everywhere! We didn't use the metro at all. Vatican, Colosseum, you name it, 15 min walk and you are there! Also the fantastic Campo de Fiori and Piazza Navona plazas are just around the corner. What a woderful stay!

We needed a hotel at short notice and this was one of only a few available in our chosen area. We selected it based on the comments from others on the site about the good breakfasts. How wrong we were. The room was tatty and basic to say the least, the welcome was curt and unfriendly and the breakfast was so disappointing that the Italians at the table next to us went out to the local bakery and brought food back in to eat in the breakfast room. Hotel Pomezia, where we stayed for (3) nights, was an outstanding value and location in central Roma. The staff, starting with Maurizio was splendid throughout our stay (and all spoke english). They went out of their way to assist us with recommendations, how to get to a location, where to eat and to make sure all was well with our room. Our luggage was lost, and they went beyond the call of duty to assist us in working with the airline contacts in Roma (@ Fiumicino Airport-since they spoke Italian) which expedited their delivery to us. Rooms are quiet and very nice bathrooms go with them. Excellent location for seeing all of Roma. 2 minutes from Camp de Fiori, 5-7 min. to Piazza Navona or the Pantheon. 10 min. to Roman Forum & Capitol Hill. You can purchase your bus tickets right from their front desk or arrange for tours with their help. They even provide a nice continental breakfast in the morning with juices, pastries, bread, cheese & cereal in a comfortable room with windows to the street is included with your favorite caffé brewed to your liking. For value, location and service, I highly recommend the wonderful and charming Hotel Pomezia for a quaint stay in the heart of Roma. We'll definitely stay there again!

Great location, good breakfasts, plenty of heat and hot water. But room for four was small - really a double with two extra beds squeezed in - and scruffy. Floor below was being refurbished when we stayed (Dec 2004) so others may have more unqualified praise in 2005.

Excellent location, easy to walk to restaraunts, bars ,shopping and many sights. Pantheon is a 5 min walk as is Piazza Navona. Also very close to bus and underground, easy ride to Vatican. Absolutely the best beakfast we had during our stay in Rome and Florence! Nice fresh pastries bread and milk and more. Our very favorite restaraunt was just around the corner, can't remember the name just the ballet shoes and photos of dancers on the walls. The Evening desk man Arturo was the greatest!!! Find him and he will help you with anything you need. The hotel is located in an active noisy part of Rome so if you want quiet this isn't the place, but if you want to experience Rome I would highly recommend the Pomezia, and don't forget to find Arthur!!

Nice little hotel, in excellent location, near old town Rome.Walking distance to all tourist attractions.Loads of 'true'roman, pizzeria/bars.Loved it, but could do with a lift, good job we're young and fit.Older folk might struggle with stairs.

The positive: location, location, location. The negative: Size of rooms & shower. Street noise which required a closed window all night in order to sleep. There is no way you could sleep during the hot months here (no air con if you have the window closed to keep out the noise). Conclusion: Stay here if location is important, you're not fussy about the state of your room and it's not the middle of summer.

This is a very nice hotel, handily situated near the centre of Rome. We had a problem because the first floor was being renovated, where we were staying. Builders kept walking in on us (no knocking first). I'd check which floor you're staying on and make sure any renovations are finished on that floor before booking! The third floor looked very nice!

The best thing about this hotel is its location - just off the Campo de Fiori and within walking distance of all the sights. The staff are very friendly. However, the rooms are shabby and noisy if you are on the street side. Breakfast adequate. A good option for a budget (as far as Rome is concerned!), centrally located hotel.

Room was dirty and too much street noise. Had to keep the window open, because the room did not smell fresh with the window closed. Great location, but with a warning about the noise - very noisey until 2am, and then starts up around 6am. I would not stay here again, unless I had an inside room and the room had been completely remodeled. Book at your own risk.

The staff and service was absolutely wonderful! While the hotel accomodations are basic, they were very adequate if you have simple needs. It was located in close proximity to major sites and wonderful food in outdoor restaurants. Can't say enough good things about the staff and their helpfulness.

The hotel is located very convinient for walking to most of the interesting sights of Rome. In addition next to the hotel there is a bus passing (no.64) from Termini to St.Peter. The staff of the hotel is very kind. The breakfast is typical for Italy - not very much and everyday the same. However, the hotel is a good choise.

Overall the Pomezia is an excellant stay but without a lift and plenty of stairs i would not recommend this hotel to the elderly or anyone with young children. There was no aircon in our room and even in late september we found it quite warm. For the price and location though i would stay there again if i returned to Rome.

Stayed 1 night Sept. 2004. Single with bathroom. Very friendly and helpful front desk. Very small room, but clean and comfortable. No a/c. Small fan provided. Bathroom clean and adequate. Thin walls result in hearing more than one is interested in, but that appears to be the norm. Breakfast was included, but I didn't partake. V. good location. Would return again.

Overall, Pomezia is a very good value. The location is excellent, as many sites are within walking distance, and there are major bus routes nearby. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay more pleasant (many thanks to Mauricio in particular). My only complaint with Pomezia is the level of noise from the street traffic -- even on the 4th floor we had a hard time sleeping. Ask for a room away from the street.

Pomezia is at a great location. The neighborhood is safe, there are *lots* of very good (and affordable) restaurants, and it is within walking distance to several monuments. The facilities, however, need improvement and do not quite correspond to the description I had read. The wall paper in my room was falling and there was mold on the walls; the extra bed in the room was extremely uncomfortable (it was broken and they put a piece of plywood under the very thin mattress). Worse of all was the heat. There is no AC, and there was a tiny window in my room -- no ventilation. The hotel did provide a fans -- but the first one they gave me was broken (after I complained, it was replaced). The hotel staff is not very friendly, but they do provide the basic (e.g., help with directions and reserving limo to the airport).

The location of the hotel was great - quiet little street with close proximity to restaurants, sights, etc. The reception and breakfast areas were very attractive. The breakfast included in the price was excellent. But the halls badly needed a paint job and a wash. Not once in five days did the maid ever give me a clean towel. Also, not once did any of the reception desk clerks ever say hello or have a nice day, even when I spoke to them first. In all, I didn't think it was worth the price.

I had to change the booking, adding an extra day. It took several phonecalls to achieve this as initially the change was not made. However, all was well when we arrived and we were very impressed at the welcoming and attentive service. The rooms we had were lovely, with spacious bathrooms.

First of all: This hotel is strategically located very good. All of the places of interest are reachable within a foot walk. To the location: We stayed in a tripple bed room which was located directly to the street. Sleeping without ear-plugs was impossible, even with a closed window. The room _in no way_ looked like the picture you can see on the webpage. Our room was very dirty on the walls. The shower was very small, so we could merely move and wash inside there. The public facilities look like on the pictures. Our reservation did include breakfast: On Saturday the breakfast was very delicious (although only marmelade, honey and soft cheese were offered, but the bread was fresh). The Sunday breakfast was awful, because the "bread" was everything but fresh. A very positive point for the hotel: The public toilett _always_ was top clean (and the seat fixed in contrast to the one in our room). I explored the hotel and saw, that the whole first floor (where our room was) is not renovated - the second floor is renovated (cannot say anything about the rooms there, as I didn't see them). If you should book a room at the Pomezia be sure to ask for a room to the backyard. Overall the stay was OK. If you compare it to hotel prices in Rome and take the perfect location into consideration the stay was fine for a weekend. For a longer time periode I would recommend a better location.

The rooms were very clean and the staff helpful and friendly. However the website stated that the hotel and been upgraded - but the room we were in was not. It waould also have been helpful to highlight the lack of lift and narrowness of the stairs

I'm sorry to be so negative, because the staff at the Pomezia was soooo nice, BUT... our 1-night stay there was miserable. Our room was tiny, very shabby, the bathroom miniscule and grubby, with black mold in the shower stall, so small that you hit the slimy walls while attempting to retrieve the soap from the standing water in the stall. The heat was oppressive and it was necessary to keep open the only window, which opened to the street, so between the heat and the noise (all night!) I got no sleep. Given the positive reviews I had read and the attractive photos, our experience was very much out-of-sync with our expectations. Apparently, the difference is betweeen the renovated and unrenovated rooms. An unrenovated room, if that's what we had, should come with a disclaimer and reduction in price. We got neither, and it was a nasty surprise. On the plus side: Very nice staff and ideal location.

After examining a lot of other Hotels in web, we have to thank venere.com for the excellent side. And we were very glad to find this little hotel in the heart of Rome: 5 min. to Campo dei fiori and Piazza Navona. A lot of life and nevertheless not so noisy during the sleeping hours. As usual you can hear your room-neighbours: if you are lucky they are as quiet as you... We will choose this Hotel ever again when we will stay in Rome!
