Hotel Pinewood Rome - Rome
Via Della Pineta Sacchetti, 43 - Rome
877-662-6988The property is strategically located at a walking distance from the Cornelia subway station and the bus terminal. Equally close to the business district, a charming shopping area, the Olympic stadium and the newly built Auditorium, this property is ideally placed to suit business and leisure travellers as well.
Among the services offered are a multilingual staff, luggage valet, limousine rental, tourist information, an Internet Point in the lobby plus a brand new panoramic terrace. On-site self parking is complimentary, and a roundtrip airport shuttle (surcharge) is available on request.
All was excellent: the room (even with hydromassage tub and shower, I didn't know!), the position, the politeness of the personnel, the quietness. A very good stayin...

Pinewood Hotel was a good Italian Hotel. Although it was small, it was ideal for me. I was there for 2 nights. The location isn't far from public transportation (i.e., Metro). It's also not very far from the Vatican. So, I would definitely return to this hotel, especially if the price is right :-)

Just excellent with respect to its price.Breakfast is ok. But may be added it some tomato, white cheese and olive particularly Turks guests like us. Towels was changed every day and housekeeping is sufficient. I recommend this hotel for everyone who wants accomodate well with a great price. It is walking distance away from Cornelia metro station and also the bus station.

Nice place, nothing exotic, but rooms are clean, breakfast is tasty, stuff - friendly, parking - convenient, and also hotel is located only 8-10 min away from metro station which is quite simple to find.

This was a nice hotel with mostly helpful staff. The hotel is relatively close to the Cornelia subway stop, but we arrived in the dark and had to drag our suitcases along unsafely narrow sidewalks for about 25 minutes to find it. The Venere printout that you get with the room reservation says that the shuttle from the hotel to the airport is 50 Euros for 4 people. The hotel wanted to charge us 70 Euros. Website says the hotel has internet access - that costs, too - 3 euros for 1/2 hour (2 euros if you use your own computer!). Breakfast had the worst coffee in Italy. One good point for the hotel is that it's across the street from a very nice, big park - one of the biggest green spaces in Rome.

A little far from the center of Rome, few busses, but if you have a car and are not afraid of parking in Rom, no problem. very nice hotel.

The hotel is a little bit out of the center but quite easy to reach with the metro. We can recomend an excellent restaurant near the hotel. If you get out at Metro A Station "Cornelia" you have to take the exit which does not lead to the direction of the hotel. If you come up to the street from the underground you will find the resaturant "GUSTOSANDO". The have fresh home made pasta, pizza, meet, fish - you can try whatever you want from the menu - you will like it. The stuff of the hotel was very freindly and we had a 4bed room which was clean. Only the jaccuzzi did not work. The breakfast is ok, but I would recommend a good cappuccino at any bar in rome!

This was the only hotel in Italy (we stayed in another in Rome, Florence and Venice) that had water pressure for the showers- amazing! Rooms were very nice and clean- our room had two REAL double beds PLUS a hide-a-bed sofa which was nice to have (the couch that is).Our room opened out to a rickety little balcony (which didn't look out onto anything special) looked like it was going to crumble. We arrived late and was going to fly out the next morning early but wanted food, the concierge was kind enough to give us a menu to order delivery for, and offered to translate any food we didn't know by name- very kind! They had a real breakfast in the morning as well, which was different. The server would bring everyone out a plate of scrambled eggs and some bacon in addition to the usual buffet of cereals, coffee, pastries, cheese and cold cuts, and fruit salad. Aside from the deteriorating exterior and the fact that it was so far away from the main sightseeing parts of Rome, it was the best hotel we had in all of Europe. if you don't mind taking a cab to your sightseeing destinations I highly recommend this hotel for Rome.

Good value for the price. Rooms very small, also the bath was small the room was recently renovated to a high quality. We had a 'family' room. Hotel far from city centre but to get the price that was acceptable. The Metro was nearby. Our room was quiet, breakfast was good value.

Sehr freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal.

Very good value for money. Staff very friendly, speak excellent English, and very helpful. However the room was a little below the standard as shown in the photo. TV could only provide programmes in italian. Business users may want to consider some of the hotel's higher cost rooms. One other small gripe, staff could not provide an iron so I could press my shirts (against hotel regulations, alledged fire hazard), so I had to wait till the laundry service was available, but a very reasonable price for the service. (I have had this rule applied in other italian hotels).

The hotel was quite and pleasant to stay. The receptionist was a bit too fast forward in expecting the guest not to know anything (for example: even though I was speaking italian - obviously not fluent enough - talking to us in english about bus connections etc. which we knew everthing beforehand anyway.) Big Minus: the hotel is to far from the city center.

We had a great time at Pinewood. The room was small but clean, comfortable, and affordable for our family of 4. The bus system and metro are within walking distance, and the free breakfasts fit into our schedule and pocketbook. There was a great little family-run restaurant a few blocks away that served delicious pasta for my husband and I and pizza that the kids loved. We would come back to Pinewood again.

The hotel is located a 15 minute bus or metro ride outside from the centre of Rome. With large family suites this gives good value for the money. The breakfast was good and included cheese, ham and yogurt, beside the regular coffe, bread and jam. My wife complained about it not being to clean enough, and with old wall-to-wall carpets - the best part of the stay was in the centre of Rome. All together an OK place to stay.

The front desk staff was very helpful, responsive and speaks english fluently. We had a difficult time looking for the hotel, but once there it was easy. The rooms were very clean although small. If you do not mind having old furnishings, carpets, walls, decor, this is the place to be while in Rome.
