THE WELCOMING WAS VERY GOOD.THE RECEPTIONIST WHO UNFORTUNATELY I DONT KNOW HIS NAME WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPED US A LOT GIVING US A MAP.THE BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD AS WELL.THE BEST THING OF THE ROOM WAS THE VIEW FROM THE 8TH FLOOR.ALL THE OTHER SERVICES WERE JUST SATISFIED.TO BE HONEST IF WILL VISIT AGAIN THE BEAUTIFUL ROME,I WONT STAY TO THE SAME HOTEL,BECAUSE WE LOST TIME USING BUS AND METRO IN ORDER TO GO TO THE CENTRE OF ROME.THE BATHROOM WAS A NORMAL CLEAN ONE BUT 1 TO 5 NIGHTS WE HAD NO SOAP TO TAKE A BATH,,THAT IS A VERY VERY BAD THING!!THE NOISE WAS THEN A DISADVANTAGE AS YOU COULD LISTEN ANYONE TALKING FROM THE NEXT ROOMS..I WOULD SAY THAT OF COURSE IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL.I CHOOSED THIS HOTEL BECAUSE IT WAS A CHEAP ONE BUT NEXT TIME BETTER I COUD FIND ONE NEAR THE CENTRE AND NOISY OUTSIDE RATHER THAN NOISY IN THE ROOMS.

Far from the city center. At least 1 km away from the subway. Metro does not work the evening from 21:00. However, there is a 5-minute walk to the bus stop. Breakfast is very incomplete. Staff does not act friendly. Also like cleaning out the room I could not find anything.

If you are going to book this hotel with venere.com the room will be not available until 14:00 as per contract if you should arrive early, they will let you wait. We founded the room dirty, floor was not moped and was an used soap, from the previous guest, in the soap holder of the shower. Toilet was smell. Room was quite large as it was for tripled use. At night I was looking for bottle of water and I founded the service bar in the room empty. Break fast was in the average for a three star hotel. The Reception was extremely rude, impolite and in stead to offer me them apologies for the inconvenient created they was try to found a justification for them mistake. Credit Card is not requested at the check in and I almost leave the hotel in the rush without pay for it. I do not suggest this Hotel as it did not meet any of the expectation not even the basic of public health.

We were disappointed with the room. We were under the impression it was a 4 star hotel. Plastic disposable cups in the room were a very cheap touch. Tile floor meant every footstep and scraping of chair from rooms around us was amplified in our room day and night. This impacted heavily on rest and comfort. Balcony in bare concrete with dead plants in flower box and low level patio furnishing. The old TV broke down and was eventually replaced. So far out of city!

This hotel is not near the Metro and the hotel shuttle they advertise only runs a couple times a day to downtown Roma. We ended up walking a couple blocks to a bus each day which then took us within a couple blocks of the Metro which will take you anywhere you want to go. Upon arrival we had to wait over an hour to get into our rooms as there was only 1 person working the front desk and they got swamped. Aside from that the rooms were clean, they have balconies, they provided a very basic breakfast but that was all we really needed.

For the first time it was a bit difficult to find hotel, because in directions given are only way till Cornelia metro station but after that nothing...so we got lost a little bit and in the end we took taxi. you should put in website further information: after getting out of Cornelia metro station take buss 994 or 446 or better taxi(approximately it will cost 15eur).

The hotel needs renowation. The personal is very discourteous and rude. Rooms have onion-skin walls and old furnishing. If you don't want to pay the internal parking, it's quite difficult to find free parking near the hotel.

We had to take a bus to a train to get to the center of the city. Hotel is an area with not many restruants, etc. Travel to and from the hotel at night was difficult as bus runs on a very slow schedule.

Direction to the hotel given in the "location" stated "By train - The hotel is 12 km from the Termini railway station. Take the underground line A, direction Battistini, and get off at Cornelia station." It took us an hour to find the hotel after calling the front desk by phone because there were no clear signs directiong us. We had to ask the locals to find "San Lino Papa 35."

This is not a 4-star hotel. Rooms very unattractive, only twins available, blood on one bedspread... Busses and more busses, egad! Speaking of busses, their shuttle service to a convenient point in the heart of Rome was very helpful. Perhaps competitive on price, but not on quality of rooms, meals or service.

The service and the rooms are excellent... the bad thing is that the hotel is a little far from down town, and we had to take a bus to the metro station... but the price in relation with the hotel was excellent!! and we found a really good resaturant 2 bloxk away from the hotel.. i'm sure that if we are going back to rome, we surely would stay there again.

The surrounding area of the hotel is quite nice, a bit hilly and a beautiful view to the Vatican city. There is a big street – Pineta Sachetti - very close to the hotel, but you don`t really recognize any noise. The rooms were fine, considering that we paid around 70 euro a night, in the end of the year 2005. It was, for sure, an excellent value for money. The main problem with the hotel is the distance. The metro ride to Aurelia or Cornelia station is quite quick, but waiting for a bus to the hotel is a bit of a hassle as the services are not very frequent. To reach this place, I suggest to get off at Cornelia metro station, after you can take the bus no.49 or, for direct connection, bus no.994 (till 22,00 hour) and 446(after 22,00 pm). For San Lino Papa street (hotel location), bus stop only on request!!!

We arrived at the hotel and there was no reservation made between Venere and the Hotel (Lucky I had the coupon) They did sort it out. The resatuarant cafe was unable to serve food, AT LUNCHTIME On one morning at breakfast they virtually ran out of everything! Dinner at the hotel was the WORST SERVICE AND POOREST QUALITY I have ever had in Italy. Thr restaurant staff were incompetent and incapable. Cold food (twice) as it was re-served, raw steak (when a request for well done was given), meals served at different times. In all, this was a dissaponting stay at what could be a good hotel. We would question whether to use Venere and would definately never go back to the Pineta Palace

O.k. it´s not in the center, but the price is great and by bus you reach the Metro (Subway) within a few stops. The breakfast is very extensive. The hotel is not so easy to find, so a cabride from Fiumicino could cost up to 70 Euro.

For a 4 star hotel...it was very very bad!!! I believe it only deserves 2. You can even hear the neighbours brushing their teeth. There were also some people who thought that they were funny, by knocking on every door on our floor while running and laughing in the corridor. Are they the regular guests?!

While the hotel was very good (I had a view of the Vatican from my balcony room), the waitresses in the dining room in the morning were quite rude. One even took a paper napkin out of my hands, replaced it on the table and shoved me to another table. I was quite displeased, but she supposedly spoke no English. She fully understood my glare, however. I wonder, is there a shortage of paper napkins in that hotel??? Otherwise, the food was delicious, the breakfast was the best I had on the entire tour, and the people at the front desk were courteous, helpful and friendly. I would recommend the hotel again to anyone, just stay away from the female servers for breakfast! (The dinner hour had male servers who were far more pleasant......) The only other concern I had was the noise level in the halls. Every sound, every voice can be heard up and down the hallways, quite disturbing when trying to sleep and a group returns late at night.....

The map directions were ambiguous, should have provided more detail about actual distances; if you walk from the metro to the hotel you are faced with a uphil walk of about 30 mins. Best to transfer to the bus. Hotel needs to order more coffee cups since it seemed that they were constantly running out of them during the breakfast which otherwise was decent but nothing fantastic. Was able to get an extra night stay at same price even though didn't reserve it ahead of time and this was during the busy easter weekend. Don't take the "shuttle"; cost 3 euros and drops you off at the vatican and some other random place by the Tiber. Leaves late and service ends around 8 or so. Buy a bus ticket for 1 euro at the desk or a day pass for 4 and take the transport bus to the metro and you can go around at your leisure. Vatican city is only a couple stops on the metro. Still have yet to find a hotel that actuallly provides a real double bed. As always, it's 2 strapped together. however the view into rome and the vatican from the balcony is great!

When we arrived in Rome we discovered that in fact the hotel was too far from the city centre. The only way to get there from Fuimicino airport was by taxi and this cost 45 Euros each way. The hotel staff were unhelpful about advising us on methods to travel to the City. Eventually we ended up paying a lot of money in travelling to Rome. In addition, we had requested a double room and got a room with two single beds. My wife and I requested a double bed, and after two days of reminders they finally pushed the beds together and laid one sheet over them. This was very unsatisfactory. The hotel is in the middle of a residential area with high rise flats, and we felt insecure when walking there at night. We would strongly advise anyone visiting Rome to stay away from this hotel. You would be more comfortable in staying in a slightly more expensive hotel in the city centre than to stay here and pay to travel to the city.

Hotel was very clean and staff/service was excellent. Noise level between rooms was not very good (we had a person snoring in the room next to us and he sounded as if he was in our room). The hotel is quite far removed from the center of Rome and not much is within walking distance. The breakfast was excellent.
