Very nice modern and clean rooms and very quiet also. magnificent view from small balcony. poor breakfast but the prices for the rooms are hard to beat in rome. 89 euro is a good deal for the sallustio. the location and surroundings also good, close to suibway -republica- and only 15 minutes on foot to di trevi.

The hotel was in bad condition. The room was not what we expected for the price that we were paying. In the same building there are two more hotels (one of those I stayed last year) that are far more better. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR THE PRICE THAT THEY ARE ASKING>.

I was at Sallustio because of business trip in Rome, the room I had was very little but complete and neat. The location is perfect because very close to all major attractions in Rome. The employee at the desk is very kind and efficient. The hotel would need some improvements in the breakfast lounge and a more efficient elevator.

Sallustio is really a cute and clean place. Moreover, it's location is great, being it not far from all most important places in Rome! I would definitely advise you to rent a room at Sallustio.

The service was excellent. However, the room we had was right next to the front desk and we could hear people talking all night. The breakfast is unacceptable. To get packaged food and coffee from a machine is a crime in a country like Italy. We paid for the breakfast but ate elsewhere. Finally, the room was clean but the walls were dirty and in need of painting.

WARNING!!!! We booked a double room at the Sallustio but when we checked in were lead to our room which to our surprise was a 10 minute walk away on busy via Septembre. The room keyring stated "Hotel Antica Domus" so I believe we were taken to a sister hotel. The room was one of 3 in a sort of apartment block secured by heavily locked door (which the other guests kept forgetting to lock). The room had no aircon (as promised), no hairdryer (as promised, no safe (as promised), and was noisey. There was also no fire evacuation instructions although if there was a fire there would be no chance of breaking down that door. They did later provide a hairdryer but the plug was not compatable with the socket so was no use anyway. The location also meant a 10 minute walk for breakfast everyday which was served in a dodgy little seating area. To top it all ,upon early checkout the man behind reception could not use the credit card reader and suggested I walk down the road to use the cash machine. Stay here (or some place down the road) at your own risk!

There was an obvious discrepancy between the very good room (including airconditioning - flatscreen TV) with private, very modern and well-appointed bathroom, all spotlessly clean, on the one hand and the quite poor breakfast service (and room): coffee machine produced pseudo-coffee, so-called juices were lowgrade quality and jams equally lowgrade quality. Location and surroundings of hotel very good and convenient for travellers.

Recomendable.

Sallustio is a floor hotel and the site doesn't show it. Then you think you are going to a big hotel an it is not the true. We stayed there for three days: in the last day, the hot water stopped in the morning and only came back at night, eleven o'clock and just because all the tourists complained a lot and vigorously during all the day.

The requirement was for a twin bedded room. The room had a double bed. There was a fold-down bed in the corner, unmade. I had to help drag another fold-down bed in from an adjacent room. Very disapointed in value for money. The breakfast facility was appalling. The croissant offered for breakfast was pre-packed and stale. the coffee was from a cafe bar machine. We were given a different room for the second night. It was the same set up but a bigger room. We came back in the evening and were locked out of the room by a mal function of the room entry electronic card. This had happened earlier and we admitted by a staff member with a master security card. This did not work later on. We had to wait about an hour before someone came to restart the corrupt entry card reader. The water in the shower ran hot and cold. This place is way over priced for the quality and shoddy. The handle fell off the shower. I would not stay there again and would not recommend it.

The hotel room was clean, staff were friendly and efficient and location is great. Price very good considering location. Breakfast was poor. The hotel is being refurbished though so if you are looking for luxury give this a miss. If you want somewhere clean and in a central location with no frills then this is fine.

Hotel staff were very welcoming and accomodating. Reception on third floor, our quad room was on fifth. Room (ensuite)was compact, but absolutely fine. Breakfast (free) was basic but fine. Within walking distance of the main sights. Would consider staying again if the price is right.

Excellent price at 100 Euro per night. It's on the 5th floor of a building -- no downstairs lobby; you ring the bell and take the elevator up. Small lobby on the floor. Completely adequate as a place to stay in Rome -- great location close to Via Veneto.

Town Suites Hemingway was exactly as described by other people that have stayed there. When you first arrive you are very disappointed because of the building entrance which has not been renovated and it's old and ugly. The actual hotel it's on the 3rd, 5th, 6th floor. We stayed in one of the rooms in 6th floor and we were really excited by the style, cleaness and space of the room (it even had a small balcony). We could not have booked anything better with this money (even with more I think). The only drawback is the breakfast which is really limited but this was not really a problem for us, as we drink only coffee in the morning. Besides you have excellent places all around the area for true italian breakfast. The hotel is a 3mn walk from the metro station Republica and 10mn walk from Termini and Trevi on a very quite street. I have already recommended it to friends.

A great value if you want to stay near the tourist areas of Rome. Friendly and helpful staff. We got two quads and stayed for 20 Euros per person per night. Secure parking garage available nearby for 25 Euros per day that will pick up and drop off your car. I would stay here again.

The roms have been renovated recently and are in a very good condition - even if that does not show from the outside of the house. The rooms have been in the 6th floor and have been very quiet (there are also rooms of this hotel on the 3rd floor..). The elevator did not work every time though...

The room of the first night it's very beautifool because the speace and clear are very excellent but the second night when the employees says me that I must change my room because my room was reserved by another peerson, the new room it was very very poor, because it was little. the welcoming was very good, as like employees.

This hotel was fine, and I had a perfectly reasonable stay. Two negative points: The breakfast was pretty basic. The hotel is located in the governmental district, so there isn't much life around here outside of office hours, and it's too far from the centre of town for a casual walk home after a night out.

We had a very nice surprise with the room, it was very spacious, although it was not totally ready yet. On the second day they brought the TV but no cable so it stayed there only as decoration, but we did not go to Rome to watch TV so it really did not matter. Only complaints are Sunday staff which was no help at all for touristic information and the elevator. It is somewhat charming, but no fun at all when you arrive at the hotel tired at the end of the day to find the elevator blocked because the door was not properly closed... especially when you are staying on the last floor! The breakfast room could be improved and we felt that it could not be so hard to have some fresh bread at least early in the morning. The owners are very nice and friendly.

The complete ceiling of the first room they gave us, especially in the bathroom was completely covered by ugly green mildew. Never seen something like this before, and never smelled anything similar. We changed the room immediately, and even in the new room, espeacially in the super-small bathroom once again the mildew-problem. Roomservice didn´t tidy up 2 of 7 nights we stayed, and weekdays, handcrafters did renovate the building, including heavy noise in our room and dust in the staircase... ...the "hotel" ist in the third floor of an old house, and it is very, very noisy - even for a city like Rome (visited Rome several times before). If the rooms window was closed, traffic-noise keeps out of the room, but you can easily hear every word spoken at the receptions counter or in the other rooms, as if there was no door inbetween. All night long. We had to buy some ear-plugs to be able to sleep at all :-(. "Breakfast" was a joke: 2 plastic-wrapped, slobbery ao called croissants, and lots of rusk (who takes rusk for breakfast ?!) and jam in combination with bad coffee and fruit-juice. We decided to do breakfast in an italian bar. ...and much more unconvenience :-( So you should think twice if you want to spend your money for such a small value received - and no silence to repose at all. It´s not worth half the money they take for your staying

A good spacious front room, however cpuld be a litlle noisy at night with the bar on the street just outside the window. Quite a cwentral location wihin walking distance of the main squares in rome. A little disappointed that they did not do the special offer of the health club anymore and did not have a fixed idea to where it was located. It took me three days to find it, after finding out where it was from someone in the internet cafe. The bed linen was nice and fresh everyday. A pity that no ironong service was available, as the laudryservice took three days to come back and it was for washing only. The staff were very friendly and accomodating.

In general a nice place to stay; but take care to make very clear that you expect a room on the 3rd floor !!! We were put on the 6th floor into a room, which obviously was new and not finished yet: cable ends bungling out of the walls, the carpet had a strong chemical stench and TV didn't function properly. The style of the room was rather modern (grey and black) and cool, not at all like the photos on the website. On top of that, the widely advertised "breakfast in the room" service was not available for that room. After complaining we got to move to another room - but not earlier than after having to spend two nights in the first one !! To make it complete, after asking for a reasonable discount for the inconvenience suffered the personnel responded unfriendly and arrogant, almost blaming us for not being grateful to have been granted any room at all.

My girlfriend and I were very pleased with the quality of the accomodation. They have recently increased the number of rooms in this old Italian building and we stayed in one of the new rooms on the 6th floor. They were fitted out well, very comfy bed and powerful shower with lots of hot water. Not the most central location for sightseeing but we enjoyed walking as you see so much more. About 15 mins to the Spanish Steps, 20 mins to the Colosseum. Easy access (5 mins) to Republica Metro Station and Terminale Stazione. The building has a wonderful old fashioned lift which is a life-saver after a day on your feet in Rome. Accomodation in Rome is expensive but glad to have found one of the cheaper options having searched the web.

It was a pretty, nice hotel not far from the citycenter of Rome. The staff was friendly and competent and spoke an exellent English AND German. The rooms were nice decorated and cleanb with a beautiful view.A perfect stay for the few money. Only one thing didn´t fit: The breakfast which was brought to the room was too simple. Two plastik bags. One with an old Croissant and one with toasted slices ("Zwieback")of bread. A sirup Orange juice and an awful coffee. and you have to eat on your bed.

A lovely, clean and welcoming plce to stay. The breakfast served in the room was excellent. The rooms were simply but beautifully decorated, and we enjoyed having a bathoom on suite. The site map dosen't download very well and was fuzzy. Most tourist areas are about 30 mins walk away rather than a few minutes, but the tube station is a short walk away. It is in a quiet area of Rome, and was very restful. We would return on another occsion.

The afternoon desk person was helpful and spoke English but her two colleagues knew so little they couldn't understand the words "check out" when we wished to leave. The toilet needed a plumber. The management's effort to make my stay a pleasant one resulted in four room changes in ten days: 1st room:nice but the shower drain did not work. 2nd room: unconfortable, unclean, noisy, no hot water. 3rd room: very nice and confortable, but it was a double room and I was moved to another hotel without prioe warning for the last two days> N.B. I missed an important meeting because an important message regarding a time change was not given to me ( I assume by the night personnel).

Except of the room we didn’t get any thing from the “hotel” (we can’t even name it a hotel), even nobody speaks English. The price of 100 euro per night we find very high for what we got, but it might be the prices-level in Rome. We can’t compare it with any other hotel in Rome. Our total stay in Rome was perfect.
