the hotel was good compered to the price. however tax wasn't mentioned in the website so we had to pay 12euros more for 2 nights. Staff was so friendly and tried to help us every time that we wanted something to ask. The location is so easy to reach since its close to Lepanto metro, bus and tram station. Rooms are quite small but confordable and quite. Overall, We would definitely stay there again.

The Pensione Paradise is a low budget hotel and meet our expectations value wise. The room was very small and hot, even with the fan. The bed is to small for two people. It is great as a place to drop your bags and explore. It is not a room you will want to spend time in aside from sleeping. On the plus side we had no issues with cleaning, location or staff.

Ruxsandra on reception transformed what may have been an ordinary trip into an exceptional one. She is a mine of information about places to visit in Rome and a source of great tips about where to shop and eat. I had a clean, spacious room in a busy area. The only (slight) downsides were that the hotel is located in a busy working area and that the city council collects the garbage in a noisy manner at an early hour! Otherwise, a really nice place to stay.

Come on guys, this is NOT a hotel, it is a regular apartment in the third floor of a residential building from which they eliminated the kitchen, the living, and the dining room, then they squeeze every room to the size of regular US walking closet and Voila,! there you have a hotel with a SHARED bath.( My comment; this hotel ruined my whole vacation),Thank you.

Everything was as expected and absolutely OK! If you're sensitive to traffic noise, maybe you should consider a quieter place. Staff was extremely helpsome, and we recommend that you use them for hiring taxis etc. - it was very professional and precise. We go there next year - no doubt!

Absolutely fantastic value. Clean, nice-looking rooms, ours had an en-suite, a hairdryer and a fan as air conditioning (which was vital as it was so hot). The staff were friendly and helpful - we stayed during Euro 2012 and the receptionist advised us on where we could watch the England vs Italy game. The location is ideal too, just metres from Lepanto Metro station. Thanks!

The staff at this hotel makes the stay worth the smallness of the rooms. They were so helpful with where to find things, calling a taxi, and helping find a room when they were booked and our other hotel had given our room away. The room was very satisfactory...the staff excellent!!!

Room small but adequate, corridors noisy. Good location. Near metro. Double glazing was good as it was noisy in the street. En-suite long and narrow, sound travels far though ! Some nice restaurants within walking distance. Good local coffee shop with reasonable prices for breakfast. Small lift up to hotel level (3rd floor). No English channels on TV.

Great quality for the price (<50 euros). The room was nice and clean, very calm. We have slept in uglier rooms that were way more expensive in Rome. Helpful staff. The only problem was that there was no Wifi signal in our room (we had to use the sofa in the "lobby").

This property was great for us, we basically just needed a place to retire at night. The neighborhood is residential with some cute shops, very safe. We would stay there again in cooler weather, as they don't have A/C yet. The staff was very friendly & helpful. We can't really say anything negative, other than the bathroom was narrow, but hey, aren't they all in Europe?

The hotel is situated in a quiet place, just near Lepanto metro station and not far from Vatican (15 min on foot). Our room was rather simple and small, with a tiny table and only one chair for two people, but we had a private bathroom with a small hairdrier and a TV-set. All in all, that was a good choice for this price!

The receptionists in the hotel were excellent, they even upgraded us to a room with a bathroom with no extra charge. The hotel was right by the metro and the bus station, but because we were there around the 20th of August, literally everything in the area was closed due to everyone being on vacation. The room was quite hot, even with the fan they had in the room it was rather difficult to sleep.

A great deal for the money. The Paradise is right off the Metro line, so it was a blessing after a hot, busy day of site-seeing in the Eternal City. We had a shared bathroom, but we seemed to be the only ones using it. Low water pressure, but that was the only draw-back. The staff was very accommodating, even uncomplainingly letting us use the front-desk phone when we kept getting calls from a travel companion. Great location - we found a wonderful restaurant called Centouno around the corner, too. Book early, since it's a small place and a smoking deal!

This Pensione was booked for it's price, so we could spend more money enjoying ourselves in Rome. We were pleasantly surprised and would definately recommend this small value-for-money hotel. It's basic but clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were small. We booked a double without a bathroom and shared one with 2 other rooms - never a problem. Room facilities included a sink, wardrobe, Sky (all in Italian), music radio (in english), a small but adequate double bed and towells changed every other day. The Pensione is on the third floor of a typical Italian building with a small courtyard in the centre - it meant for a little bit of noise from other residents as they came and went but it added to the local colour and was again never a problem. The Pensione is also only 50 yards from Lepanto Metro stop - giving easy access to Rome centre. A metro ticket costs just 1 Euro for up to 75 mins of travel - the routes are simple and easy to use. If you choose to walk, all the main areas could be reached in an easy 30 - 60 mins walk depending upon where you wanted to go. The hotel itself is in the Prati area of Rome (only 15 mins from Vatican). It's a middle-class, typically Italian area of Rome which was lovely and less touristy than the centre - it has a range of clothes shops from reasonable to expensive, local stores for the residents, markets, cafes, bars and restaurants. It was so much cheaper than the centre of Rome! Would highly recommend Napul'e Restaurant - turn left out of the hotel and walk about 3 blocks in a straight line - absolutely amazing food and reasonable prices. Cafe tip - eating your croissant and drinking your coffee at the counter with the locals is 60% cheaper on average than if you sit at a table and expect to pay very high prices wherever you are if you sit outside on the terrace. If the sun is shining though it's worth it!

This hotel is on the third floor of a residence and business building. There is no continental breakfast and they are adament that you not be let in until 2:00 pm. It seems there are no exceptions. It is quite cental, a medium walk to the Vatican and a very short walk to the Metro. Don't eat at any of the restaurants close to the hotel. The quality of the food is uniformly poor. If all you want is a place to sleep this isn't too bad. It's old but clean.

We were looking for a clean, little room close to the Vatican, where to spend the night and this is exactly what we found at Pensione Paradise, nothing more and nothing less. The hotel is at the third floor (has elevator) of a big building situated near Lepanto underground station (20 meters) on a large street (bus station in front of the building). The employees (two boys and a girl, working in shifts) are very nice and friendly, they answered our email before we came to tell us that everything is OK with our reservation and after accomodating they answered our questions, gave us maps of the town and helped with a ball-pen, a knive and other little things we needed. It is true that the room and the bathroom (shared in our case) are small, but as I said before, we were looking only for a clean and quiet bed to sleep over night and this is what we've got, for a fair price. The public area of the hotel is very, very small, there is no restaurant inside the hotel space and no breakfast, but the location is good, you can find a lot of pizza houses, bars and even some supermarkets in the area. (we liked Todis supermarket, in our way to the Vatican Museums, on Via Sebastiano Veniero). The hotel is 15 min away from the City of Vatican (walking distance) and 10 min from Sant'Angelo Castle, in a nice neighborhood. For the historical center of Rome (Venetia Square, Navona Square, Pantheon) there is bus no 70 in front of the hotel and for Termini train station, Fontana di Trevi, Spania Square, Colosseum or other attractions there is the subway if you are not in the mood for a long walk. We booked using our Mastercard, but we paid cash the day before we leaved the hotel. No extra taxes/charges, only the price listed on Venere.com. I am very satisfied both with the informations I found on Venere.com and the hotel itself.

We stayed in a French double - please note this means a very small double bed. We chose shared bathroom facilities and found these to be clean and accessible. The price we paid seemed reasonable compared to others in similar locations. The pensione is very close to the Metro system (less than 1min) and as such is a great location to get around and do some sight seeing. Overall we would recommend this a basic pensione and would not pay more than we did (50euros/night).

In generale, ci siamo trovate bene.

Hotel is very handy for restaurants and bars in the Prati area, and incredibly close to the underground in to central Rome. Also only a shortish walk to the Vatican. Room perfectly quiet at night (good dbl glazing), but hotel sits on a very busy street, so noisy from early in the morning. All considered, very good value.

We stayed in a double room(french bed, n.32) with bathroom. The room is quiet as long as you don't open the window. Took us some time to find it, the hotel doesn't have a sign on the street as well as it's own entrance - it is on the 4th floor of (mainly) apartment building. It's about 15 minutes by foot from St. Peter's square and 30-40min to Colosseum. Otherwise it was great for the price.

Best about the pension is the great location. The Vatican, Castel St. Angelo and the Ancient Town. We stayed here in May 2005 for six days. The room was clean and it contained a sink, a TV and a double bed. We shared the bathroom with another guest. There was one incident were the guests with the use of private facilites in the their rooms used the shared bathroom for over an hour. The staff apologized for the inconvenience and it never occured again. The room was spacius enough but unfortunately it was very noisy. The room (#38) faced the courtyard and every morning we were woken up by renovations to the apartment above that echoed down. We also got bitten by mosquitos every night because ther was not netting over the windows. In conclusion there are slightly better places to stay for 70 euros a night but the location was amazing, right beside the Lepanto metro station, a few mintues form the Vatican.
