Actually i have to say first that with that price it should be the best place where u can eat an avarage breakfast and clean and also comfortable rooms. only problem that it s hard to sleep because of the noises! and it's impossible to understand the reasons of that voices.. they were not cars, trains or winds... it was just annoying noises.. beside of that thanks for good hosting.. With that price if i go again i will stay there again if i cant find a very very better opputunities..

My colleagues and i were on a business trip in italy and Rome was only a stop-over before catching our plane, so we only spent one night at this hotel. however, the stay was comfortable: clean bathroom and running hot water; clean sheets and above all a comfortable bed; and very helpful and friendly staff. good quality for the price we paid!

Excellent hotel and great value for money. Very conveniently located near train, underground and bus terminus that provides very easy access to all parts of Rome including the major visitor attractions. Good breakfast also. Only small difficulty was that when booking I requested a triple room on the first or second floor but was informed when checking in at the hotel that all triple rooms are on the fourth floor.

Nos ha gustado mucho este hotel. Sobre todo el desayuno. Es muy agradable el ambiente de las habitaciones y muy bien comunicado: en la calle de la estacion de trenes, cerca de dos paradas de metro y a diez minutos a pie del coliseo

The hotel is located close to the central station and the surroundings are not the nicest, but it was easy to get to and from the hotel. The room was nice and clean, but it was hard to get some sleep due to the very hard bed and loud noice from the street. The breakfast was a nice surprise.

Not quite as close as I would have liked to the train station but the distance helped ensure the safety factor for a single female traveller.

The hotel was very nice. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was very good. Some fruit were the only thing we missed. Breakfast room was in winter a bit cold, but the rooms were warm and cosy. We had two rooms in the upper level with a nice look over the houses in the neighborhood. The hotel is a bit far away from the city center and the sightseeing attractions and it takes some time to know all the busses and trams and to find the fastest connections. But you can find cheap bars at Placa Maria Maggiore and some wonderful and cheap restaurants in a walking distance of 10 minutes on the other side of the railway lines. Excellent value for the money.

The hotel is very noisy, you can hear the tram and trains passing by, and is very far from the different piazzas and attractions of the city.

Out stay was excellent, and the breakfast very good, certainly considering the price. Only the information about the location of the hotel told us that it was about 100 meter from the Termini station, it was almost 1.000 meter walking. With luggage it's quite a distance ! Info about bus (105) or tram (5 or 19) till Piazza Porte Maggiore could be mentioned

The Hotel Parker accommodation and staff were excellent. I had a single room, so it wasn't large but it was adequate. Breakfast was outstanding. The location was approximately a fifteen minute walk from the train station, very convenient.

I stayed at the Hotel Parker for 1 week in early May 2005 - I can recommend it for price and location. It is right beside Porta Maggiore which is a great place for transport - a tram will bring you directly to Trastevere, frequent buses and trams to Termini to link-up with other public transport and 571 bus will bring you directly to Piazza Venezia [by the Colleseum]/Via del Corso where you can link with a bus to St Peter's - what more could you ask for ?? the rooms are clean, small but well equipped and bathroom was perfect. Its a budget location but far enough away from Termini station so you are quite safe walking by the hotel at night.

This hotel was adequate - not superb but met our expectations. The location from the metro is slightly deceptive in online posting. (Was definitely more than 500 metres). Which made it rather tricky to find having arrived in the evening. Location is fairly good if visiting ancient Rome (Colosseum area) - only about a 25 minute walk to get to Colosseum. As for Rome in general, be wary of subway strikes - we got stranded at the Vatican due to an "impromptu" strike halting the metro and had to meander our way back on a very crowded bus to the hotel - took nearly 2 hours. All in all, hotel was okay. Breakfast was simple but satisfying. Front desk staff does not speak much english - brush up on your italian. And use toilet paper sparingly - ours was not restocked during our stay.

My first night's stay in the Parker the air conditioning was not on. Noise off the air conditioning system was far too loud - I could not sleep. When I asked for it to be switched off in my room I was told "No" it was governed per floor. The next night I asked a very UNHELPFUL female member of staff if it could be "turned down" - her off handed manner was much to be desired - considering this was my second night not getting to sleep. She couldn't tell me when it would go off.

This was our first visit to Rome and we found the Hotel Parker excellent value for money. The hotel has been recently renovated and is close to the main train station and within a few minutes walk of the Coloseum. We recommend this hotel for anyone looking to spend their money on the sites, food and wine rather than on accomodation. The stafff speak very good English which is a plus n Italy. We would definitely sty here again.

Only problem we had was that the hotel had not received our booking! We were very lucky as they did have one room left, and we were lucky in that we had printed off the confirmation and taken it with us, otherwise we would have not been able to stay there.

We were greeted by a very helpful person who went out of her way to provide any information we might need. The hotel is in the railway district so it is reasonable for what it is. There was a school group staying at the same time and they were VERY noisy. The hotel could have done more to quieten them down. The room was basic but clean and comfortable.

Despite a very welcoming hostess, Parker was disappointing for $80/night-- a tiny room (with almost no room to walk), cotton cloths instead of towels, a slightly mildewy shower with a slow drain and intermittent hot water, and dirty stairs leading to our room. Its best redeeming quality was proximity to the Coliseum (about 25 mins?), but the far end of Termini is not an exciting neighborhood-- largely abandoned at night. It might be better for the budget-conscious to seek a better hotel, or one in a better neighborhood, with a shared bath.
