Hotel Pantheon is our new favorite! Literally steps from the Pantheon, 5 minutes from Piazza Navona and some of the best restaurants around. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was updated fairly large and clean, bathroom totally redone with top of the line fixtures and breakfast was perfect.

We stayed two nights here - upon arrival we were told that our first night would be spent across the street as "there was a mix up with our reservation". The room we stayed in the first night was marginal - it was much smaller than our second room, especially the bathroom. It was very clean, but was also noisy because it was on the first floor right about the street. When they moved us the second night, or "real" room was wonderful - very spacious and much quieter since it didn't face the street. The breakfast was just okay, but the hotel itself is very nice and quaint. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if they promised I would not be moved across the street!

Wonderful location for visitors who like to be installed in lively surroundings. Excellent personnel: kind, helpful, always willing to satisfy our needs. The rooms could be more up-to-date. A kettle is clearly missing.

The Pantheon Hotel is a little gem! The staff are extremely friendly, courteous and efficient. The rooms are superb and the location is central. Having statyed in Rome previously at a budget hotel which fell short and almost ruined our holidaay, my family have now switched our allegiance to The Pantheon. We have agreed that we will travel to Rome only when The Pantheon has a vacancy.

Traveled to Rome with parents (mid-70s) and sister (early 50s), all first-time travelers to Italy; I have been to Italy on several other occasions. Staff was excellent (especially Teresa) and especially helpful when it came to interfacing with the airline (which had misplaced our luggage). Rooms were typical for city centers in Europe. Room 203 was roomy but faced the street - so was a bit noisier (again, fairly typical for city centers). Breakfast came with rooms and you had the option of requesting scrambled eggs and bacon at no additional charge. Internet terminal was available free of charge. One of the great things about this hotel is that you are in the center of things. The Pantheon is out the door and 10 steps to the left. All in all, I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

Ideal location between Colliseum and Vatican. Plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby, (which can make it noisy at night, so take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper). Very helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent place to stay, would highly recommend. Very close to the Pantheon and walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Vatican City, Coloseum, etc. Great staff. You will have noise out the window at night, that's Center City Rome though, open the window and enjoy the music of the city. Great food very close by too. A/C worked good too!

Beautiful, historic building, in the perfect location. Walking distance to everything in Rome, and next to the Pantheon. Many restaurants, etc, in the area. Very friendly, helpful staff, fluent in several languages. Decent room size for a European city. Slight street noise, but quiet by bedtime. Great value, and highly recommend!

Charming and cosy little Hotel right in the centre of Rome within walking distance of many attractions, good shopping and nice restaurants. Have stayed in Rome 5 or 6 times before and found this hotel satisfied my expectations....the rooms are a little tired but in my experience this is the case with most Rome Hotels. There were only Italian TV channels during our stay.

This was my first stay at the Hotel Pantheon, though my 9th stay in Rome. My husband and I try to visit Rome once every year as we love the place. Hotel Pantheon is situated in a beautiful building in an extremely central location, within yards of the Pantheon. We only saw reception staff as we didn't bother with breakfast. They were always friendly and welcoming. The room was beautiful, but not big. We were on the 3rd floor and there was a lift which was always in working order. The staircase was marble, so it was lovely to walk down the stairs rather than take the lift. What we both liked about this hotel was its location, the fact that it was quiet at night, and also that we could turn up on our late arrival and not have to hang around alleways waiting for keys to arrive, as happens so often with B&B places. My only real criticism would be the lack of drawer space for clothing; however, that's only a minor point. There was a wardrobe, but it was small and only had room for hanging clothes - there was nowhere for tops, jumpers, underwear. The cost of the room was a bit pricey - and more than I would normally pay for a room with no real facilities. It had a built-in safe (free), TV - local channels only (no satellite), but no tea/coffee facilities. There was a mini bar but we didn't use it. The bathroom was a reasonable size and we had clean towels every day. The rooms were heated with radiators which could be controlled, so it was always warm (we were there in December). There was also a selection of soaps, shower gel, shampoo, shower cap, sewing kit available. All in all, it was expensive at E180 per night, but it's in a fabulous location, it's quiet at night, the staff are friendly, we felt safe, and we loved it. Would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it.

We couldn't asked for a more enjoyable stay and the gracious hospitality of the entire hotel staff. Arriving by car in Rome the first task was to get to the train station to drop off the rental car -- that was accomplished and we were me with a city wide (possibly nation wide)taxi strike and no realistic was to get to the Pantheon Hotel. After calling them the entire staff assisted us be providing a hired car to pick us up - at no cost - to try to get to the hotel. The taxi demonstration prevented the first attempt and we were dropped off at a sister hotel for complimentary drinks. Following the demonstration, a member of the front desk staff used his personal car to drive us to the Pantheon hotel. Very impressive!!! Everything else was perfect - and will stay at the Pantheon again and again.

Rooms to street side not quiet at night. Ideally located for all "city-walkers" - good quality and nicely furnished rooms with enouph space to feel good. Have been to Rome several times since the 60ies and know different hotels. The Pantheon is a good choice - but there may be cheaper hotels with comparable good quality.

the welcoming was really poor (one of the reception guys should maybe learn how to look happy to have you in his hotel / the breakfast location in uthe underground floor looks a little suffocating and the breakfast quality does not fit the price paid / TV programs are very limited esp. the French channel (only one) / however Rome is a paradise city and the sourroundings are so beautiful ... so why souhld we complain ? but I willl niether make another reservation in this hotel nor advise it for a friend

The location is excellent: very close to the Pantheon. Near piazza Navona, Fontana de Trevi. Right in the middle of the old center. I followed sugestion of another hotel reviewer, and reserved a "de luxe double room". This type of room is quite OK. Competent and gentle employees. I liked the hotel. Price too high for its category, but which hotel in Rome isn't so?

This is a very nice hotel steps away from the Pantheon. I have stayed in other hotels nearby for the same price or more that provided a substantially less experience. The staff took care of me well, arranging for an early morning car. The location provides perfect accessibility to all the core sites. Although I walked past the hotel many times on previous trips to Rome, I found it a bit difficult to find based on the website map. I loved having a bathtub, which is a first for me in all my Italian travels! Be sure to bring some bubbles. I also was excited for English tv broadcasts for the first time in 2 weeks as well, both CNN and BBC. I cannot comment on the breakfast, as I had an early departure. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who only has a day or two to discover Rome. Well worth the price in a city where you never know what you are going to get for you Euro. I paid 159 euro for a double room for single use.

Staff are all helpful, courteous and friendly. Location is ideal for sight-seeing and there are good cafes and restaurants nearby. Rooms provided were as we had asked (two rooms next to each other). The room was small and very stuffy, but we couldn't leave it open because the noise from the piazza below was so loud. We had asked for twin beds since I was traveling with my daughter and we didn't want to share, but we were given a double bed room instead. It was by far the most expensive place we stayed during our whole trip and the least satisfactory. Also, on the confirmation was a voucher for a shuttle to the airport. When I checked in they told me that they didn't do that anymore. So we had to pay an additional $60 to get to the airport, once there the driver tried to get us to pay another $12 dollars! I would not stay there again.

My 12 year old son and I were very pleased with our accomodations at the Pantheon Hotel. It was very spacious by European standards, particularly the bathroom. We had a room facing the front of the hotel and there was some pedestrian noise from the street, but there didn't seem to be any auto noise, so we weren't too bothered by it. COuld see it being a problem in the summertime, though. We arrived without a good street map and had some trouble finding the right street off of the plaza in front of the Pantheon but once resolved found this to be a great location from which to see the city. Breakfast offerings were tasty but honestly, no different than any other European hotel that we've stayed at in our travels over the past 15 months. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, particularly the woman working the breakfast room. We would highly recommend this hotel to other travellers.

We had booked a superior room, which we were shown to. The room was long and winding, with one window at the end that was overlooking an inner courtyard, where various air conditioners and plant from various surrounding buildings were located. The combined noise and smell meant we couldn't leave the window open. This was particularly relevant, as the bathroom fan was not working, and it smelled bad! Also, only one bulb was working, so it was dingy. When we complained, we were moved to smaller, but very comfortable room, overlooking the street, which was lovely (although the fan didn't work in this room either). All was fine, and the staff had dealt well with our problem, but we felt that the room we were first put into was very much substandard as a normal room, never mind a superior room costing 40% more.

I spent a week staying here with my mum and cannot fault the place. I found the staff friendly and helpful, the room comfortable and not at all cramped and the location ideal for exploring all the sights. The hotel obliged with an online request for an extra bed in the double room we booked, I think at no extra cost, and the shower was excellent. The place is small enough to feel individual but with the service you might expect from a bigger establishment. The hotel is on a small street directly off the Piazza Rotonda and so street noise inevitably drifts up to the room a bit. You can close the window and switch on the aircon if you prefer; we didn't do this and athough we were only one floor up neither of us were troubled by the noise. There is a taxi rank a few metres away on the other side of the square if walking/buses are not your thing (taxis are very reasonablky priced but can't be hailed on the street, you have to find an official rank). I would definitely stay there again.

Great hotel. I've selected "superior room" because of the small price difference with standard room. It was a good choose: high quality, big room, very quiet even if the near Pantheon square is very touristic, very good localization (every thing available on foot: Vatican, Forum, Coliseum, shopping, ...). Expensive as usual but it's the same for every hotel in rome !

This 13 room "boutique hotel" is almost like a well staffed "B and B". The staff, with one exception were wonderfully accommodating (One was friendly, but generally indifferent to any question or request for recommendations . . . He was the abberation not the norm.). The relationship between your web site and the actual location was absolutely accurate, as were the prices quoted and received. The location is almost perfect for a visit to Rome. Although taxi's are easily available, we found thet the location at the Pantheon allowed us to comfortably walk alternately to teh Trevi Fountain adn Spanish Steps, or the Vatican, or the Colosseum/Forum Area, or Trestevere or the Piazza del Popolo. Food is not an issue in Rome. However, within a one to five minute walk are restaurants adn cafes to suit every palate and every wallet. We would highly recommend this property to anyone spending a long weekend or a week or more.

Given the high summer prices in Rome, our room was expensive, but it met all of our travel wishes - great location, quiet and comfortable for sleeping, clean and spacious, with terrific service. There was one problem with a funny smell coming from the bathroom - from old city pipes I think, because the bathroom was immaculate. The staff came and worked on the toilet a bit and all was fine after that. The front desk staff were wonderfully helpful with restaurant suggestions, dinner reservations, directions, taxi arrangements and answering any questions we had.

I chose this hotel partly for location (very central) and partly because when I was reading reviews of hotels on the Net, major complaints about other hotels re small rooms and impolite staff did not apply to this hotel. This proved to be absolutely right. The rooms were lovely and spacious (we were upgraded to the suite for 2 nights but the room I had originally booked was also big, unexpected in a capital city) and the staff were extremely helpful. The rooms were also rather quiet, which seems to be unusual. I would definitely stay here again!
