I am a regular visitor to Rome and always like to stay near to Termini station. I booked the Palladium Palace this time because I wanted to try a four-star hotel in this area, having been disappointed with every three-star hotel I have tried. I think I made the right decision. The staff at the Palladium Palace were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were of a high standard. But the breakfast was a disappointment--definitely not four-star quality, more like two star--including the worst coffee I have ever drunk in Italy.

Good located hotel, very close to Termini main station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We've been upgraded for a higher quality room. However, this is not a 4* hotel! - The breakfast is very poor: first, the coffee is horrible!!, then there were very few choices, and finally everything looked VERY cheap and old (not good quality): cheap yogurt, 3 days old cake&bread, low quality ham&cheese, very cheap fruit salad from can, very artificial-flavor juice... - We had a 3 beds room with 1 good bad and one very small and very uncomfortable extra-bed (with a very bad mattress)... Otherwise, this can be called a good hotel for Rome :) I'd probably return if I need just to sleep one night next to the main station.

Quite good, only a bit the bathroom was a bit too small, otherwise the room was very large. Necessary to ask for a smoking room

We moved to the palladium palace after spending two nights in another four star hotel, which was more expensive and had a much smaller room. After moving to the palladium we were very happy with the size of the room we were given and also the rate that we were being charged. They had a jacuzzi shower which was nice after a long day of sightseeing. Our room was cleaned and made up every day and the breakfast available was very nice, they had something for everyone. Local restaurants were nice and the hotel itself is only a 5 minute walk to termini. Overall we found the hotel to be great and would definitely stay here again.

Stayed in many hotels throughout Europe, including the usually rude Rome hotels. These guys take the cake! You wouldn't find a more rude bunch than the people that work at this hotel. Sad really, for some this is the only holiday they will ever have, For me don't mind cause on my next yearly trip i will spend my money at another hotel and maybe this one can stop affording to pay these crappy employees.

Chose Hotel to be near the Termini.A short walk with roller bags from the station. At check in was offered an upgrade due to a reservation snafu at a very fair increased cost.Suite on first floor was handy ,quiet and a good size after visiting other Italian cities. Breakfast on roof terrace adequate, same choices each day. The pleasant desk staff very helpfull with local restaurants and transfer arrangements.Other guests both tourists and buisness people. Very handy to tourist buses and public transportation.A great value!

This is a smaller excellent Hotel. Staff quite helpful. Although Termini area never scenic, it is quite convenient. Hotel is quite old but refurbished. Rooms have high ceilings and bathroom was quite large. Street noise not an issue.

My sister and I were in Rome for the week-end and we really enjoyed our stay at the Palladium Palace. The room was well decorated, clean (especially the bathroom) and close to the Termini train station (just a 2 minute walk). The neighbourhood is a bit sketchy but there are a lot of restaurants and stores nearby. Our only complaint is that our room was located near the elevator so it was noisy, especially at night. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, with recommendations for restaurants and sights to visit. Overall, we highly recommend the hotel and would gladly stay there again.

In particular I want to mention the friendly, charming and very service-minded personel. But the central location is a great advantage. No, really true what is said in their internet info.

Despite the "street"--though I don't mind it myself, others do--the Palladium Palace is a favorite place to stay, especially after a long air flight from the west coast of the U.S. The staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive. The rooms are small, but always clean, and I particularly like the in-room safe to store valuables. The breakfast and the roof-top cafe/bar it's served in are superb.

The rooms and especially the bathrooms are very large by European standards. They are very nicely appointed and we were very pleased. We chose the hotel because of the location near the train station. If you're going to be taking the train a lot and this is location is important to you, we would highly recommend this hotel. The surroundings in the train station area are not especially nice and walking a few blocks from the hotel, I got into a rather dicey neighborhood. We were disappointed in the rooftop area. It was deserted and did not have any view. All in all, if the location is a good one for your stay, we would recommend this hotel, particularly because of the quality and size of the room, bathroom. We stayed in a "junior suite". The first one we were in was right on the street which was very noisy, but they cheerfully moved us to a more quiet room.

We enjoyed our stay at Palladium. The room was very nice. We requested a king bed, non-smoking room with a shower and that is what we got. (The king bed was a little hard.) It was mid-November so the air conditioning was off and the room would get a little warm. We opened the windows quite a bit. The location was convenient as it is a short walk to the Termini Station and we used the Metro subway a lot. My only complaint was that our room was a bit noisey due to the traffic outside our window, although we were usually so tired from lots of walking that we slept just fine. The breakfast was excellent with hot and cold food and the staff was always willing to help us when asked.

We stayed for four nights end of april, hoted situated exceptionally for the train station(minute walk) and for drop off point for bus transfer from airport, hotel was only booked 3 weeks before travel so unsurprisingly expensive but its very clean hotel, high ceilings and marble floors. as with all hotels near train station surrounding area not the best but we saw no trouble. angelos restaurant across the way really tasty food for quick uncomplicated dinner.

The hotel is very near Termini Station. Use the main exit (beware don´t use an exit with stairs !).The hotel staff is always ready to help you. At Termini you can take the bus or Metro (buy tickets at tobacco shop). Note, online photo gallery, the bathroom photo displayed are for superior rooms. The others like the one we stayed (513) have a small shower but located on backside of the hotel it was very quiet. Don't miss Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and Borghese Gallery (reservation is mandatory, use http://www.ticketeria.it)

This is a very clean, hospitable hotel that I highly recommend. A great value for the price and far better than the star rating indicates. The rooms were quite spacious. A friend and I shared one room with two twin beds. There was enough room for a third twin bed, a side area for dressing, and a good sized bathroom. Even though we were right by the elevator, we did not hear any noise. The one exception is that one morning two maids were especially noisy and it woke us up. Every other day, this was not a problem, and we slept soundly even though we are light sleepers. The employees were extremely hospitable and perfectly fluent in English. There was some confusion over our room assignment (probably due to a bad connection I had over the telephone), which staff corrected quickly and graciously. The area was very safe. Because it was only two blocks from the Termini Train Station, it made sight seeing especially easy.

On the ground, first and second floor things are noisy, the street, people around the elevator etc. The Breakfast buffet was fresh and generous while the vat of coffee was stewed and bitter. A good location for the city centre and lots of good restaurants close by but alas the local imigrant population was overpowering and at times a nuisance selling everything and anything. At night you will feel a little intimidated - rightly so... stay in the busy streets if you can.

Although located in a rather seedy area, the hotel itself was very nice. The room was clean and quiet, the staff helpful and friendly, and the included breakfast larger than expected. Within walking distance of Colosseum, Forum, Roman Baths, and other sights. Would recommend with the caveat of warning that the surrounding area is "colorful", to say the least.

Hotel is located right next to the Main terminal and is easily found. It is located next to many shops and restaurants and there is even a grocery store nearby with water selling for .13 euro for 1.5 liter. Our room was on the first floor facing the street. We heard considerable noise during the day, but it quieted down somewhat at night. The sound of the cable buses on the street were easily heard, however, it did not seem to bother our sleep. We were given a suite which was more spacious then we actually needed. The sofa in the other room had a pull out bed.

We were really pleased by the location (near the train terminal and subway), quality of the hotel, service (gave us tips on restaurants, location of sites, etc.) and breakfast(great variety, nice breakfast room and ample amount). We were pleasantly surprised in getting an upgrade of room to a deluxe double for the same price. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends who go to Rome!

This is a very nice hotel in a good location next to the train station. The rooms were in very good condition, and staff were friendly. We didn't eat at the hotel, other than breakfast which was ok. We stayed there at both the beginning and end of our trip and got upgraded to a de Luxe on both ocassions. It's a nice walk to all the major sites ; 35 mins to Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Trevi fountain ; 45 mins to Vatican. There's also good bus routes available. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay there again in the future.

Very good location for the traveller who doesn't know Rome that well or is travelling by train. Easy to find and five minutes walk from the central station. Extremeley handy for trams, trains and buses and most of the sights in central Rome are within walking distance. Ask for a quiet room and you get a pleasant room at the back of the hotel. Rooms are good and there's plenty around the hotel (cafes, supermarkets, snack bars). Recommended.
