This is a hotel we will never return to! We had booked a whole week but left after 3 miserable days and 3 sleepless nights! Even though the staff were helpfull and som of them even did speak english this could not make up for the poor standard of living in the hotel..... Miserable sleep due to heavy noise from the road at all hours of the day and night. Worn out windows of poor quality that would not shut out any noise at all! Breakfast could pass, but not the coffee! WORST COFFEE IN ITALY, but I should not even call it coffee, as the fluid came out of a mashine. Clearly below all expectations. The staff themselves made their own coffee out in the back, as they would not drink this mashinecoffee themselves.

The rooms were smaller than expected and it was very noisy at night. The breakfast was good, but not excellent. The staff was helpful, but didn't bend over backwards to help out. The evening meal was a very good price and the food was good. If you are on a tight budget this is a good place to stay, if you want to put up with the inconveniences, otherwise look for something a little more upscale.

The hotel staff were superb! The hotel was very clean, the food at breakfast was ok. The only problem I had was that our room had ants in it, but once the staff were told they soon cleared up the ant problem! The location of the hotel was ideal for us as the train station was only around the corner and we had access to everywhere we wanted to go then! I will deffo be going back there again!

The rooms are ok. Very basic, with no thrills - but who needs that when you've got thrills all around you in Rome, so you shouldn't be spending time in your room anyway... What was unpleasant is the very very unfriendly and dis-concerned attitude of the reception staff...it was below poor. Breakfast and room cleaners were fine.

Ok, the breakfast isn't great but who cares? This is a good hotel, in a safe and convenient location. Comfortable bed, good shower and very clean rooms. Air con could be cooler and wi-fi is patchy but overall great value for Rome and very pleasant staff.

Young couple traveling to Rome, stayed for 5 days. Enjoyed this hotel, it's near the metro and within walking distance of the Vatican, so it's easy to get to sites. There is a grocery store nearby where we stocked up on snacks and water (there's a fridge in the room) and gelato places nearby too. The room was a bit small, but since we were harldy in it, it didn't matter. The staff was great, place was clean. My only complaint is that the shower was very small and had some black mold in it. I am tall and thin and had issues using it (shaving my legs was impossible!) and I don't know how a large person could fit inside. Other than that, though, it was a great place.

The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The outside is deceiving, as the entrance and public areas are much nicer than expected upon first seeing the outside. The public areas are clean and very spacious. Breakfast was good. The staff was happy to store our luggage in a locked room after check-out time. The room and bathroom were spacious - we had a triple room. Both had been cleaned well but the rooms are older and ours needed some work to be cleaner. The ceiling and walls need to be painted. The ceiling looked like there had been a water leak and the walls had a lot of dirt and old adhesives. There were also some stains on the curtains. That said, the hotel did have all the amenities expected - it's just older. It had some character in it's decor and windows. We also had a balcony. Our stay was quiet. We did not hear the street noise nor any noise from inside the hotel. The location worked for us. If you are not a good walker, get the Roma Pass so you can use the Metro indefinitely. The Pacific is a 5-minute walk from a Metro stop. We almost always walked everywhere and skipped it but it's a hike to some places. It's about 15+ minutes to Vatican City and add time, respectively, to other places in Rome from Vatican City. The directions are misleading because the labelling of the metro stops changed. Get better directions. As an outsider, it's hard to determine the neighborhood quality; we didn't feel unsafe at all, but it definitely is not scenic. We booked our hotel is USD but confirmations on Venere are in Euro's. Just something to be aware of because changes in the USD-Euro ratio can impact your price from the time of your booking to your stay. If you want to stay closer to Vatican City than other parts of town, but want to keep your price around the 100.00 USD range, this hotel is a very good choice.

This is an economy hotel on a busy city road. It accommodates economy tour parties. So you have to take your chances at meal times when they all appear at once and you may get a room at the front overlooking the main road. Not worth risking in the tourist months but probably a reasonable cheap gamble in the winter.

The air conditioner wasn't turned on so had to have the window open, but the traffic noise was so loud we had to sleep with ear plugs. There were a couple of instances where people had tried to leave us messages but we didn't receive them, possibly just a language problem.

Overall the hotel was adequate. We could walk to the Vatican which was important to us, the price was right and we could park our car without charge. Our room was clean and pleasant enough but the street noise was loud; there didn't seem to be a room that one could escape it. The common area downstairs could have been kept cleaner. Walking to the Vatican was OK as far as distance but the streets nearer the hotel were ill-kept. The hotel and buildings surrounding the hotel are modern in comparison to the charm of the older buildings a few blocks closer to the Vatican.
