Perfect location, good sized clean rooms. I would definitely stay there again especially since room prices are very good compared to other hotels in that area.

Their web site rates were 20 Euros cheaper than venere rates. Sound isolation between rooms is very poor. You can hear all noises and discussions from next room (at least the one next to mine)

I was under the impression when I booked it that it was right in the heart of the city. We had come to Rome a few years ago and stayed right on Via Veneto, which was much more closer to the sites. The Capuchene Monks decorative burial spot on Via Veneto is very interesting and worth looking into seeing, it is free but they ask for a small donation. We stayed in a room on the first floor with two beds pushed together to form a queen size bed, and two cots for our children, aged 19 and 22. The cots weren't too comfortable, had bars and springs that they felt, and as a result of adding them to the room, it made the room real tight. There was wallpaper that needed upgrading and was peeling and stained in spots both in the common areas and in the room. The paint needed upgrading as well. Bathroom was very clean, but very small. When you sat on the toilet, your head was hitting the sink. It had a tub/shower and a bidet and a toilet with a single sink. Shower pressure and hot water were however excellent. They could have used a hook or shelf on the wall for your clothes to hang or be put, so as to avoid them from getting all wet. When you went in, you had to put them on the toilet seat with the cover down, as that was the only place to put them. Stairway going up to rooms was very narrow to say the least. Elevator very small, could only take one person and one suitcase at a time, so we had to do four trips up to our floor. We laughed and said that if the four of us got into the elevator without the luggage and all put our backs to each other and pointed ourselves to the outer corners we could indeed fit, but it would be tight! There was a good deal of construction going on near hotel on the sidewalk and surrounding buildings which made walking hard and area noisy. Also very noisy in the morning with traffic on the street. Room would get hot so we would have to open up the window and then all you could hear were the school kids, horns on cars and buses.

Enjoyed the hotel and stay. We were visiting the US Embassy on business, so the proximity to it was important. If you're looking to shop in Via Veneto, you're also in the right place as it is just down the street. If you're looking to be close to the Colosseum, Forum, Piazza Venezia, etc., (heart of Rome), you might want to look for a hotel a bit closer, or you can jump on the metro. We were a group of 3 staying in what was supposed to be a quad - thank Einstein there were only 3 of us, as the 4th "bed" wasn't really a queen - more of a super twin... Just fyi. The hotel, overall, was great. Clean, nice, and 344 has plenty of space in it (2 rooms, actually).

Nice little hotel for the money and location. While I would recommend it, there was a problem with the front desk staff. A women on the day shift (only one and no smile) booked a bus tour for 5 of us and took a 20 Euro deposit. When we arrived to catch the tour, there was no room and reservations didn't mean a thing. The hotel then refused to refund the deposit. If you go don't expect any help from the front desk. Customer service is something they don't know about.

This was our first trip to Rome and the hotel was a big disappointment. The room for 3 adults was unsafely small. Our bags filled the open space on the floor which was minimal so couldn't walk around the room at all. Bathroom small even for european standards. Front desk staff was helpful but never smiling. Don't appear to be happy in their work. Room was very dusty dirty. Shower head and water pressure excellent to revive at end of day from hot August Rome. Location in town looked abandoned and didn't feel safe at night.

We had booked a family room for 4 and were given just that room 334.It had a double, a bed at the end of that and a converted sofa and not much more room after that-a small dressing area and a smallish bathroom.ok for visiting a major city if you aren't going to spend much time in the room. However,we asked the next day if they had any other family rooms available ans showed me 2 much nicer rooms ,the best being 344.this has a double room with a slightly smaller kids double attatched by a sliding door,a spacious dressing room available via either room and a much nicer bathroom.get this room if available,it just gave us much more space to relax after a hard days sightseeing.

This was a perfect accomodation for our needs (tourist trip with no intention to spend too much time in the hotel room). The room was spacious and airconditioned and it was cleaned well every day. Location was ok, walking distance from Spanish Steps. Bus and taxi stops were nearby. Breakfast was ok except for the coffee, which was horrible. Staff was always attentive and seemed competent.

The Oxford "conveniently" gave us a room that we booked as a double, then the next night as a quad as friends were staying with us. The room as a double wasn't bad - small but comfortable. But as a quad it was very tight. Fortunately, it was only for one night. The hotel is nicely located near the Via Veneto and offers a daily continental breakfast. We discover a place just off the Via Veneto (on Via Sardegna) called Lotti. It's a deli, bakery and gelato place all in one. Very reasonable prices and great food. Sit outside and you can people watch all day. Also the Oxford was not that long a walk to the Spanish Steps (maybe 20 minutes). Overall, a decent hotel for the location.

While you get the sence that you've stayed at much more luxurious hotels for this price, you have to consider almost prime location of this hotel only a few blocks from Via Veneto. Once you get over the price - there is really nothing wrong with this place: it's very clean, comfortable, air-conditioned, staff is attentive and helpful, and the breakfast is good. And you can get a quick dring, sandwich , or espresso in the pleasant lobby bar. In other words, it's no excitement, but if I return to Rome, I would likely stay there again

When we arrived we were allocated a very noisy room which had an adjoining door partition and was also a smoking room (which was quite musty). We had asked for non-smoking. However, I went to Reception and was asked if everything was ok. I told them that we'd prefer a different room if possible and the next day we were moved (without any hassle at all) to another room. This room was very very quiet and I believe in the newer part of the hotel. What more can you ask; we weren't completely happy so they did everything they could to make us happy. Thanks for that :)

What a pleasant surprise when we arrived in our quad room. So spacious, two rooms in one. The best we had so far in the countries we have stayed so far. Our New Year`s Eve dinner was absolutely excellent. I wished we could have stayed longer at the Oxford, but we will certainly will be going back to the Oxford next year when we go to Italy again. This time defintely for a longer stay. The reception staff was so helpful in booking tours for us and arranging for them to pick us up right in front of the hotel and again dropping us off. They also organised the taxi to pick us up when we left the next morning after a superb breakfast. Very very good value for money. Rooms extremely tidy and beds so comfortable to sleep on.

This was a very nice, reasonably priced hotel. It was farther away from the central Rome attractions than I realized, but the walk was fine and an entrance to the Villa Borghese was nearby (which we discovered accidentally on our own).
