Orbis is very near to Roma Termini (Railway) station. Its difficult to locate due to no advertisement board kept outside. For air condition they charged separately (10 euro per night) which is not mentioned while booking and also it was not working properly. It wont suit for family stay.

VERY DIRTY! The bathroom was dusty, rusty, walls haven't seen color for a century, bed was at least 30 years old...we were speechless! no wonder, that we had to pay before we even saw the room!!!!! I know that it is not expensive, but I wouldn't call it a hotel at all. I expected no luxury, just clean decent place to stay.

GOOD POSITION CLOSE TO TERMINI. TRAMS CAN BE A LITTLE BIT NOISY FOR THE ROOM BUT THE PRICE WAS VERY GOOD FOR ROME. I DIDN'T HAVE BREAKFAST AS I FELT THAT THIS WAS PRICEY AT10 EUROS BUT THERE ARE PLENTY OF CAFES AROUND SO IT WAS NOT A PROBLEM. 10-15 MINUTE WALK DOWN TO THE COLOSSEUM. AND THE TERMINI FOR THE METRO/AIRPORT SHUTTLE/TRAIN SEVICES MADE THE HOTEL VERY CONVENIENT. A LITTLE HARD TO FIND AT FIRST BECAUSE THE HOTEL SEEMS TO HAVE ABOUT 4 DIFFERENT NAMES BUT ONLY 1 RECEPTION ! i WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN AND THE STAFF AT THE RECEPTION WERE FRIENDLY. I HAD A SHARED BATHROOM WHICH NEEDS MODERNISING BUT IT IS STILL GREAT VALUE FOR A BUDGET TRAVELLER OR A QUICK STOP OVER.I STAYED 3 NIGHTS AND FOUND IT IN ALL THINGS CONSIDERED A WORTHY CHOICE. MY FOURTH TIME IN ROME.

Very convenient situation to Termini. Eateries all around. Despar and PAM supermarkets great for economical food. The only problem is the noise from Eastern European girls sharing the larger rooms whose noise and disregard for others was shocking.

The Hotel is very near to Termini Station, at the price we've paid you cannot expect much, but the bathroom fittings came from the Roman times! The wash basin had no plug, the tap was built up with dirt, the toilet system worked with a screw! The bedspread had a few cigarette burns, but the linen was clean. Clean towels were given every day (there is no rail for hanging any towels). It was very noisy at night and will definitely asked for a room at the back of the hotel.

Rosa Dei Venti is a very nice place! We made our fourth stay there this year, and we still love it. If you want to swim from cliffs, have a view over the sea from the citrus-garden, meet a friendly and helpful host, sit on your own little terrace, use cooking facilities etc etc, this is your choice!

The room was small and dirty. The staff was more interested in conversing with each other than helping the customers at the counter. I had to pay an extra 10 euros, cash only, for air conditioning. I would not recommend this hotel.

Room was a nice surprise compared to reviews. Clean and roomy enough, but on the other hand quite time-worn so would need some renovation. Only thing that looked as they were never cleaned were air vents in bathroom, and the automatic air conditioning in bathroom made a terrible sound. Location is great, near to Termini. We didn't try the breakfast. Staff was friendly. Compared to price and reviews by other quests, hotel, service and room were a very nice surprise!

Hotel Orbis aka Hotel Dina was not so good. The toilette did not flush so we used the one in the hallway. The shower head was poor. The beds were good and the location too as it was 2 streets from Roma Termini. AC is extra so it was sort of hot and humid in June. I would not recommend it, I would not stay there again for the same price unless it was half of what we paid.

Cheap enough (at least on special from venere.com) but poor service, horrible (barely functioning and not free) weak wifi in the lobby/dining room, with staff that doesn't speak very good Italian (maybe they're better at English), and very cheap bath towel. At least hot water in room (sink) and bathroom (next door to room). Bed small and not too good, but for 30E, ok for 1 night. Termini is never a nice neighborhood.

Hotel is just 5 min walk from Central Railway Station Termini and easy to find. Check-In is at Hotel Dina (same building) - but there should be a sign that Hotel Dina is also the Check-In for Hotel Orbis ... Check-In staff gave us a very warm welcome and was very helpfull. They also give tipps for sightseeing and public transport and call you a taxi if needed. There is also a luggage room to store your bags at the day of departure. There is no curfue time (24 hours reception). The only bad thing is that you have to ring the bell also for leaving the hotel (reception has to unlock the door) - I'm not sure if this works in case of emergency (for example fire) ...

The hotel was ok, as we were not in our room very often. Price is good, for breakfast you better go to the café next to the hotel. Stuff could be a little more friendly and better English-speaking. Nevertheless, I would return in each case when looking after a accomodation in Rome. It's great the hotel is so close to Tramini.

Hotel was ok for a short stay, only worry was that you had to go up to Hotel Dina to check in and out. You had to buzz to get into Hotel Dina and then buzz to get out, again buzz to get into Hotel Orbis and buzz to get out. Main concern was that if there was a fire you had to buzz to get out of hotel and if staff were already evacuated in Hotel Dina who would let us out.

The terminal for paying by card was broken (I wanted to pay by card )so I was accomodated in the better hotel Dina with bathroom (my reservation was single room with external bathroom in cheaper hotel Orbis). This room was booked for one cheap night close to the station. That's all it was. The room was small but clean however the bathroom was unpleasant and smelt mouldy. It was easy to find after reading other reviews which warned that it was, in true Roman style, inside another hotel. It was very covenient for the station and didn't pretend to be something it wasn't.

If you want a dirty floor, a room that opens up in the front where people smoke and as a result over takes the room with smoke this is the right place for you. The room next to us had guests who smoked and the smell came under our door. Security is good, however a little over whelming since you need to be buzzed out of the hotel area. Location was alright if you plan on staying for a day, but if you plan on staying longer pay a lil more and be more in the center or Rome as this location requires way too much effort to get around.

The room was as small as it could be, but the hotel itself was perfectly located within the main hotel area around Termini. First impressions were not brilliant as we saw the shower head was covered in rust and the taps were tarnished - but both turned out to work perfectly. The sheets were crisp and clean and the towels were changed daily. The decor was a little tired and the en suite was in need of an upgrade but there was not a sign of dust or grime anywhere. It was a little confusing at first to have to check into the sister hotel opposite and have no one on site at the Orbis. However, CCTV and good security put our minds at rest.It was unfortunate that substantial road improvements outside contributed to the heavy vehicle noise which was beyond the hotel's control. The staff were very helpful and for the money we paid, we felt that we got good value for a budget hotel.

ORBIS Exceptionally not worth the money. The photo did not correspond to the room we were offered. Booked for two nights, ditched after first night. Dirty, shabby, awful bath, dark, too many security buzzers to enter/leave. And they were going to make us pay 10 Euro extra for what turned out to be the WORST BREAKFAST IN THE WORLD. We managed to escape our 2nd night and found a room five blocks away next to opera house $50 more but HUGE improvement in quality.

My daughter (8 years old) and I had a very pleasant stay at Orbis hotel. It is situated near the Statione Termini (main train station), but not too close(!) and also fairly near for example the Santa Maria Maggiore church and a little walking distance to the Colosseum (and even a little further down to historic centre of Rome). We ate breakfast at the hotel every morning, and it was ok although exactly the same every day. I found the breakfast rather expensive (10 Euro per person, and same price for children), compared to the particularly cheap room price (we paid 70 Euro per night and stayed for one week). Absolutely not a very high standard, but sufficient space, a clean room (except for a lot of dust under the bed, but the bathroom was clean, and that's what matters most...), and clean towels several times during our stay. Recommended!

Stayes in Rome for 2 days. Thought this hotel would be ideal due to location and also the price. When arriving we had to go to one of the sister hotels opposite the hotel to sign in and collect the keys. Every time we had to get out of the hotel we had to get the receptionist to buzz us out and there were 2 doors before the exit. We had to do the same to get back in. I can appreciate this from security perspective however it was time consuming especially when the receptionist wasn't available. Room was very basic but we were not surprised considerring the low price. Would recommend if you wanted a no frills hotel. Was close to sites such as Colosseum and had lots of nice restaurants around it.

Sightseeing trip, couple without childs The location was very good, 5 min from Termini, where every bus and metro started. Colloseum 20 min walk. Pricing good for Rome. Main problem was, the window was opposite to the kitchen air exit so we could just open the windows when they didn't cook (23 to 5 o'clock). So the room was very warm. My marks say everything. It was really a good stay on criterion "Price-Quality". The only problem was caused by the noise due to some repair works on the street. It looks like they are doing new tram rails and other street works. At least at 6:30 AM I was forced to close the window to decrease a bit the level of noise. Anyhow, I know that my friens in other hotel paid more for the same quality.

Great location, close to the station. A bit confusing finding the reception, which is in the other wing of the building. The room was nice with high ceilings and a great shower but there were three drawbacks: 1)the smell from the adjacent kebab house, whose extractor fans pumped out garlic directly outside the windows from early in the morning; 2)the extra charge of 20 euros to use the air conditioning; 3) having to buzz and wait for someone to remotely open the door on the way in AND OUT of the hotel which was usually immediate, but not every time. Overall a good place to stay if you want to see Rome on a budget. Some great takeaways and trattorias in the area.

I left my iPod in the room and checked out, but the cleaning lady found it and when I came back trying to find it, they already have had a sticker of my room number on my iPod and returned it to me. I was really happy about this and I have to say it's a safe place. The only inconvenient thing was we have to buzz the door when going in and out. But this is not a big deal. There are other hotels within the same building so if you don't like this one, you can easily find another room from another hotel and you don't even have to drag your baggage that far. =]

there was a strange smell in the wardrobe,(a strong sweat odour?) ,thatsway we kept it closed.the best thing that i remember about orbis was its location.our room had a private bathroom which prevented its spaciousness and all the noise of the street was in our room.high humidity and high temperature weather forced us to pay an extra 20euro for the air conditioning, which i never experienced in other cheaper hotels.unfortunately, my avarage opinion about orbis(and all other 5 hotels under the name of hotel dina) is negative. you should pay a few extra euros for another hotels for better conditions

A very small but nice room with a shower and a sink. The matress was good. I had some ants in the room - not too good. The room was rather noisy but the hotel was quiet and ok. I got new towels every day - what I hadn't expected. the location is good - near the church Santa Maria Maggiore and the central station. I think that for that price it is GOOD. I only paid 25 Euros for a single room. Quiet annoying is the fact that you always need to ring to enter and go out of the Hotel.

The hotel was nice, though the room had weird smell coming out of bathroom. The advantage to this hotel is its location- few minutes walk from Termini station. If you have quite limited budget this is good place to stay.

Is very close to the central train station / bus stop / metro... Very easy to find and the price is reasonable for 50euro for a twin bed room with a private bathroom. And the room is out of our expected because we look at the picture they show at Venere.com is very small but when we arrived we feel suprise, The space is out of our expected "Big"!!! Overall Orbis is not noise at night, we can sleep without a/c, room is clean, location is perfect~ But what people complaint about is right,They only have one reception -_- we need to check it/out and leave key at hotel Dina 1st which is not 100% perfect, Except the reception thing Orbis is worth to stay at Rome looking forward to come back Rome again again & again

RESERVATION NUMBER: IHR6572903 CHECK-IN DATE: 18 June 2009 CHECK-OUT DATE: 20 June 2009 NUMBER OF NIGHTS: 2 ROOMS BOOKED: 1 Double Daily total 18/06/2009 60.00 EUR 60.00 EUR 19/06/2009 60.00 EUR 60.00 EUR Total price : 120.00 EUR Above is our reservation, the price is 60Euro/night, After check-in, we found their has air-condition in the room, but we didn't find Air-condition remote control. We asked them why there hasn't remote control. The receptionist told us, the price 60 Euro not includes air-condition. In that time, Rome outside temperature is 41C degree. Due to no choice, we paid 20 Euros more for 2 night. We reserved Obis, but they use another hotel ALBERGO DINA to do Check-in and Check-out. This hotel is just in the front of ORBIS. This hotel give us a not good impression. Like a blackshop.

It took about ½ hour to find as Orbis was a hotel within other hotels. Strange set up - may be the norm in Rome - I don't know. The reception staff were very experienced and welcoming. The hotel itself is very dated and therefore furniture, fixtures and fittings have seen better days. The bedding was clean. The room was small. Overall given the need for updating the hotel, the price was dear. Booking the hotel was easy and straightforward the the online service.

There are no fans or air conditioning. But it is very easy to find from termini station. Also, its is a safe place to stay if you are travelling alone, and centrally located. Services could be better and is a little expensive for the price. There is no reception in the hotel, it is shared with the recepetion fo dina hotel, since they are owned by the same owner. No room service is available.

Overall, a simple, clean room in an excellent location by Tremini Station. Best for a single traveler or young couple on a budget. A few pieces of advice: Orbis is located in a build that houses a few other hotels. Although the sign in the lobby indicates that Orbis is on the second floor to your right, you need to go up to Hotel Dina (second floor on the left) to check in. Also, the sign outside simply says Hotel, it does not actually say Orbis, so just look for the street address. Also, you have to buzz in and out of the main door to the Orbis hotel. Happy Trails!!!

Very good hotel, especially the relationship price/quality! We spend here 3 days in double room, it was good. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly. The only drawback were moving beds, it was not very pleasant for young couple :)

Reception is at Hotel Dina, located in the same building. The room was very quiet and clean. The bathroom is very small, but ok. The hotel is very close to Termini. The neighbourhoods around Termini are full of questionable people but I believe every hotel in the area has the same problem. Very good report price/quality.

The main problem was that there was only one reception for four hotels and it was in a different building. The doors that connect the hotels each other were locked. You had to press a proper button in order to open each door for your hotel. As you understand in case of emergency there was a serious danger to be locked. Additionally to the above, the blankets were like 30 years old because there were 2 - 3 holes.

I had a room with external bath. Not bad, just enough the cleanliness, the room was big enough but with some works to do to the windows. The carpet wasn't so clean and there was some noice in the night. Anyway a great position if u need to get the train early in the morning. The personal was very gentle.

Clean, small hotel close to central train station, well located for sightseeing, not far from main sights, many nice restaurants within short walking distance (about 3 just cross the street or round the corner), breakfast served at main hotel for reasonable price, there You also get room key, friendly stuff.

Stayed in Rome for one night only as a lay over between Rome and Venice. Room was not bad, very high ceiling. Fairly clean. As mentioned in the confirmation e-mail, make sure you check in at Hotel Dina before walking over to Hotel Orbis.

In the same building are 4 hotels(2 hotels in the left part of the building and other 2 in the right part) with one reception desk. Even that our booking was at orbis hotel (2* hotels in the left part of the building) we actually were sent (from reception desk) in the part of the building with dina hotel (3*) (the right part) which was very clean and nice.

Hotel Orbis is affiliated with hotel Dina. We were upgraded to the hotel Dina and found it very accomodating. Very near the train station and walking distance to Rome sites. Good restaurants nearby and the neighborhood was safe

I didn't like this hotel. It hadn't reception desk, you had to go to the reception desk of other hotel that was near but you had to go up and down many stairs to arrive. I don't recommend this hotel if you have a lot of baggage.

We spent 3 nights at the hotel. Location is perfect, but the floor of both the bedroom and washroom was covered with ceramic tiles. Very uncomfortable with winter boots inside the room until we go to bed due to the tiled floor and tens of small insects running there.

Although it is close to the station the surroundings are not the best, one can find better surroundings just a few blocks away. Cleanliness of the room could be radically improved.

There are different kind of rooms. The room with the lowest price is quite unatractive but at the same time according to price it can be acceptable. But my advice is better to take double room since the quality is much better.
