Hotel Orazia - Rome

Although the surrounding is not great, and the hotel is the 5th floor of a building, the rooms are quiet good, the breakfast quiet good, and comfortable overall. but the owner charged us an additional 2euros/pers/night, a total of 12 euros, as a tax, that he says started from 1/1/2011, he showed us documents, and says we made the reservation befor the law started.. he could have told us as we arrived, and didnt have to wait the moment of payement!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. When we arrived the recepcionists gave us even maps and told us everything necessary about the city, what and how we should visit. The room was clean, the breakfast was very good. Telling the truth everything was perfect for me. The only thing we saw as a disadvantage was my rooms window looked out on an air conditioner.

People at the reception of the hotel were very welcoming and pleasant. Rooms are clean. Proximity of the subway. The only negative point was the noise in the corridors soon in the morning (not the fact of the hotel but of people...) I recommand this hotel to everyone.

Generally good value. Beautifully appointed room, very clean. Black mold near ceiling in the bathroom. Air conditioning in our room was very weak and might not be adequate for high summer. Good breakfast. Close to all attractions. Buy a map BEFORE leaving the train station or you'll have trouble finding the hotel. Luciano at front desk is excellent.

Very friendly, attentive and helpful staff! It was always really nice coming back to hotel. My single room was actually equipped with a double bed, which was very comfortable. For a single traveller, this room is perfect, but for a couple it might be a bit small. It was located towards the courtyard, thus I did not have any problems with noisy streets. But since it was the first room beside the reception I could hear the phone or the door bell ringing. For breakfast, they offer croissant, buns, jam, cheese, sausage, cereals, yoghurt - which is a lot in Italy.

Centrally located, but very very loud due to the 24-hours-traffic

Nice little hotel very close to the main attractions (only 5-10 minutes by Metro to the Vatican). Metro station almost in front of the hotel entrance. Friendly staff with even german (and of course english) language skills; breakfast ok and sufficient. Room was very clean and bright, very nice view (ask for!) over Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. Toilet flush not working properly the first day but after request for repair this was solved immediately. And as a nice little gimmick they have an old and very charming elevator for which the doors still have to be opened/closed manually...

Our room was clean and functional but quite small for three beds. Bathroom standard was high. Continental breakfast was OK. Location is good with 1 min walk to underground station and about 20 min walk to Coloseo. A Supermarcati is located a bit further down the street. The only disadvantage is that the lobbey is located on 5th floor. A small and simple elevator is available. On the evenings the front door is locked and you need to press a door bell to notify the receptionist.

We had a most amazing view over the park and could see very far over the rooftops, it was amazing! The staff is very friendly, the bathroom exceptionally clean. Good value for money!

Hotel reception is located on 5th floor. Must take old lift or walk. There was no internet access in the hotel room.

Total rip off! No hot water, no heat (in November it's cold), broken toilet, car alarms blasting from a very busy street all night. Dirty room. Despite the fact that only 4 rooms were occupied in the entire hotel, they wouldn't assign me a new room. But that's not the worst. This area is very dodgy - dubious people hanging out in the area and there is no street entrance to the hotel. The hotel is only located on the 5th floor of a large office building that is deserted at night. You have to enter into a courtyard, find the (usually broken) elevator in an alcove, and then usually walk up the 5 mostly unlighted flights of stairs to the 'hotel.' Once you're there, it looks like a hotel, but I would strongly advise any women against using this hotel due to the neighborhood and the unattended, unmonitored area between the front door and the 5th floor entrance. But that's not the worst thing. The worst thing is that, after a sleepless night, there's no coffee in the morning! There's a machine that dispenses hot chocolate and hot water and a mysterious brown liquid it says is coffee, but it's more like mud. The final insult! Worst hotel in Italy!

First time at Orazia, brilliant walking distance from main railway terminal & tube only 10 mins walk to Colosseum. The area where the hotel was a little run down so wouldnt walk around very late at night as a lone female traveller.breakfast more than adequate but have to get in early in dining room or wait for a free table as it is small. No other place to relax which wasnt a problem as only used the hotel as a base to rest your head. It felt like a travel lodge arrangement.Didnt help my young son didnt like the old fashioned wooden lift so had to walk up 5 floors of stairs !

Situado en la quinta planta de un viejo edificio, tanto el portal de entrada la escalera y el ascensor con jaula de madera tiene apariencia mugrienta, falta de pintura, etc. más propio de una pensión de tercera clase. First rooms given far too loud on road side. alternative was only a single size room for two, other alternative smelt awful. breakfast room too small, selection limited. staff friendly but did not compensate for overall disappointment.

The hotel was a little difficult to find as it is down a side street and not on the square as we thought when booking. The area is run down and the door is in need of cleaning/painting and was not onpened very quickly when we used the bell. Once inside the hallway and elevator are very old and run down so we were a bit worried about where we had landed ( I was with my 13 year old daughter who was scared!). However on arriving into the hotel foyer our fears were reduced and once we saw the room we were very happy that we had received the 3 star quality which we had booked. After this initial cautious arrival we found the staff pleasant the the hotel location very central for sight seeing and shopping. (We walked a lot on the first day!). I would use the hotel again.

It's your standard 3-star Roman hotel. The staff is nice and speaks a decent amount of English. Be happy with it. You're in Italy. If you don't want people to speak Italian, stay home. You don't speak Italian when they come to the U.S., so quit complaining. It was good being able to walk to the train station and being right on the metro line, although we only took the Metro once (the Roman metro is notoriously sketchy, although certainly has improved since my last visit).

The best part about this hotel is the free breakfast, which is very good except that the coffee is quite bad. The hotel was very nice, the staff a little unhelpful at times, but overall a very nice place. My problem was that it's kind of far from the action of Rome. Close to the Colloseum and close to the subway and the train station. But you can't find anything good just walking in the area around the hotel.

This hotel offers clean and comfortable accommodation at a very reasonable price. Given its location, the hotel was also remarkably quiet, with reasonable breakfast facilities, although it's advisable to arrive before the breakfast rush at around 8.30. It's situated on the 5th floor, which makes the lift an absolute necessity. The room was clean, comfortable, air-conditioned and fairly spacious.

I stayed in the hotel 2 nights and it was ok. Good location, near the subway and termini. It is ok for people travelling on buisness but not for nice and romantic holiday in Rome. The room is clean and the staff very nice. Walls are a bit too thin and loud TV sets force you to use ear plugs. Breakfast was nice nothing fancy, but good service.

Very convenient to Metro and Termini rail station. Helpful, competent, and friendly staff assisted with changing reservations in other cities in Italy. Staff was multi-lingual (English and German and perhaps others). The rooms are small and the AC unit is a bit noisy in some rooms, but overall a convenient hotel and a good experience. I would stay there again.

We chose this hotel largely because of its location near Termini as we were coming from La Spezia and were only over-nighting in Roma and would be going on to the Airport fairly early the next morning. Having been to Roma before, I remember that the Piazza Emmanualle area was very pleasant but that was 40 years ago. We arrived fairly late on a dark drizzly night. The taxi took us through some of the more deserted and grafitti adorned streets of Roma from the Termini Station. He dropped us off at the junction rather than pulled up at the front as the street was one way. It was fairly dark and deserted at the time and it was a bit worrying (to say the least) to find that the hotel lobby was on the fifth floor and the ground floor vestibule totally empty but for a very old creaky lift. Pictures in the shades of 'Bates Motel' flashed through our minds. However, the night receptionist was very pleasant and changed our room immediately when we found the first one assigned smelled heavily of stale tobacco smoke. The furtniture and fittings were well up to standard though the room was a bit small. The breakfast was up to standard and the day receptionist was most helpful in directing us to Termini. Day light also brought out Piazza Emmanualle in all its glories and the surrounding looked much better than the night before. The walk to termini was pleasant and short.

Great hotel but the lift to 5th floor was very small and slow

First room they gave us had been used by a smoker & was unacceptable. The staff was very accomodating and moved us to another room which was non-smoker. A little weird that the hotel recption was on 5th floor but luckily the lift worked. Site location map was deciving, it was further than the map indicated

In the evening the door is closed , and sometimes i had to wait to have it open.

We were very satisfied with our stay in Orizia and got good value for the price. The rooms and public areas are nicely decorated in traditional style and our triple room was spacious enough, as well as our bathroom. The buffet breakfast included was good, particularly when we consider the price level of the room. From our window there was a nice view on the park outside. As the hotel is situated on floor five there is a distance down to the busy street level. Our stay was in February-March however, and we could keep the window closed, so we don´t know what it would be like in summer, but the shops and bars down in the street were closed during the night and did not generate any noise until in the morning. The lift is narrow but was well functioning during our four day stay.

I liked this hotel and would surely recommend for a budget staying. Good location: short walk from Termini airport terminal, 15-20 min. walk to Colloseum. Cosy rooms, perfect breakfast, queen-size bed in a single room!

We liked the hotel very much. But were very surprised to learn upon arrival that venere.com did not send any booking from us. So I really do not understand what do you have to do with our stay in Orazia. We were just lucky they had the room left. Also I receive a lot of SPAM-type mail from venere.com.Please stop.

The hotel rooms were nice and clean - but if you're looking for spacious - they're on the small side and the twin beds are narrow. One room I stayed in had a bath without a shower curtain. A second room had a shower stall. The hotel's located right next to the Vittorio Emanuele metro station, which is one train stop from the Termini. The location is a bustling shopping area which closes down around 9 pm. After 9 the area is a bit deserted but I felt safe walking around alone. The hotel is on the third floor of a building and the elevator is very old fashioned (out of a movie) - quaint and it works fine. If you arrive in the eve, the front door is locked and you'll need to ring the bell. Breakfast was good - but Italian-style. Rolls, coffee/tea, jam, cold cereal,cheese, fruit cocktail. Don't expect eggs. Although you can walk to the Spanish steps etc.. it's easier and faster to hop on the metro. This is not a place for a romantic getaway, but it is worth the price if you don't mind walking or taking the metro to the main sites.

Single room was very small but clean and comfortable and good value for somewhere so close to the main sights in Rome. Breakfast was good but not brilliant - some fresh fruit would have made all the difference. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Surrounding street didn't look great but never felt unsafe and was in great location for Termini, Metro and getting to the sights - ten minutes to Colloseum. No real noise from the outside but room walls are thin so you do hear what's going on elsewhere but I found that everywhere I went. I would stay again.

The hotel was very good for the location / price, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms need to be touched up though, like walls repainted so that they don't appear so "dingy".

The property is well located, only 7 or 8 minutes walk from the side exit of the railway station (where the Fuimicino train arrives). The desk staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was better than average for Italian hotels. Only complaint is the size of the room and the noisiness of the AC unit. I had a double room for single occupancy and it was just about adequate for one person. The bed was too small for two people and anybody bigger than me (16 stone) would find it difficult to get into the shower. I stayed here for one night a week later and room/bed/bathroom/AC were all better, so it seems pot luck for the adequacy of the room.

I would not stay at this hotel again. As mentioned in other reviews, the old-style elevator was often not functioning because a door was not all the way closed, and when functional it was amazingly slow and you still had to go up some stairs to get to it - very difficult if you are traveling with a stroller, as we were. The air-conditioning unit cooled the room somewhat, but was unbelieveably loud. The worst part, however, was that I phoned before booking to ensure that the hotel had portable cribs for our baby and that they were free of charge. I asked in both English and in my fairly decent Italian, and received a repeated answer of "no problem". Upon arrival at the hotel, I was told that adding a crib would increase the cost of the room as this meant there were now four people and not three. When I argued, he told me to talk to the manager, who would be there that evening. Upon our return to the hotel for the night, I went to talk to this gentleman, who before I could even get a word out, told me, "It's broken." How convenient! All of a sudden they could not provide me with the service I confirmed the night before because the baby bed was "broken" and now my poor daughter had to sleep on the floor of our room, as it was the only safe place. I should have demanded to see the "broken" bed. Good points of our stay included a substantial breakfast and a friendly cleaning staff.

A very convenient location to reach from airport via Leonardo Express train from Termini station to Victor Emmanuelle stop. Staff very helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at the Orazia. It was very centrally located for sightseeing. The staff at the desk spoke very good English and were very helpful and patient. The rooms were very clean and the prices reasonable. It was nice to be able to have breakfast at the hotel every morning.

Very good hotel, excellent location in Rome (close to Colosseum). For thsi proce in other places you will get higher class hotels, but it seems that everything in Rome is very expensive, so it's fine at the end. The only drawback is the space for breakfast where they have limitted number of tables and around 9-9.30am it gets crowded and you have to wait for a table. I would stay there again.

Not bad! Good hotel @ right price ...

The room covered all my needs. It met all my requirements. The staff was very supportive at all times, providing very useful hints as to where to go and how to move around, especially in the use of public transport. The hotel is close to Termini station and the area, although not the best neighbourhood in appearance, is a common choice for tourists. All in all, I am quite satisfied.

It was very clean and quite nice, the shower was tiny, and had nowhere to place toiletries, but that was the trend in Italy...It actually had both styles of electric outlets for edison blades and italian 220v style. The bed was really hard, beyond firm in my opinion, and of course the double bed was two twins put together. It was definitely a pricier place, but it was nice, had good variety of continental foods for breakfast.

Excellent hotel considering the low price, staff had first class attitude and were very helpful. The boro also marched on to the quarter finals of the uefa cup which helped!

Il garage non è all'interno dell'hotel, ma poco più avanti e a pagamento: circa 30 euro al giorno.

Un accueil très chaleureux, un réceptionniste très aimable prêt à vous renseigner utilement sur les sites touristiques des chambres spacieuses et propres, un petit déjeuner copieux (bon capuccino). A une minute à pieds d'une bouche de métro et à dix minutes du colisée. Que dire de plus? Le seul hic néanmoins, une mauvaise insonorisation des chambres. L'hôtel est au 5eme étage, mais ça n'est pas un problème. Bref, un excellent rapport qualité/prix. Vivement conseillé.

The Room was small, but allways very clean. I traveled alone, so I wished that the employees would be a bit more helpful and approaching.The street doesn't looks like expected,but actually there I found everything I was looking for(internet-point, Pizza to take away, an shop). It's good to know, that the Metro Station is nearly in front of the house.

Taps are very old and the one of the shower must be repaired. Every time we close the bathroom door, we got the handle in our hands. It must be repaired. The reception on the 5th floor is not very useful.

The Orazia Hotel has 3 managers. In the morning, the manager called Mr. Luciana is excellent, a nice person and very serious. But, afternoon, there is a younger manager, always in a bad mood, offering the worst service. Because of this, i do not recommend this hotel.

The employees were really nice and helpful, the hotel was friendly and clean, the rooms quiet although they were on the street side. We had a really good stay, as the hotel is near a metro station it is very easy to travel around. We were really positive surprised to get such a hotel for this price. Therefore we can recommend Hotel Orazia to everybody who would like to make a trip for some days to Bella Roma.

My adult son and I stayed at Orazia for 4 nights and wish it could have been longer! Everything about our stay was superb, we even experienced the fire alarm going off and though fortunately this turned out to be a false alarm the staff coped first class with organisation and safety procedures. Breakfast was very adequate for a hotel of this rating. I cannot reccomend this hotel highly enough for the price we paid through venere and will definately use again whenever visiting Rome.

We were not happy with the hotel staff. Some of them were unfriendly and lousy. Breakfast was simple fare. nOt much variety. Not recomended for price/ quality received.

Good, clean place located very close to a Metro stop, which was a plus.

Good value for money (although I'm aware it depends on the price you get. There are several prices for the same room, depending on the agency you choose. I found that venere's price was the best. This may depend on season as well). If you don't mind walking abit more, don't hesitate - book Orazia.

Clean and nice, friendly staff, rooms are more than ok for that price!Not the best part of the city, but you can reach everything by foot, no need to take the metro if you are a good walker :o) breakfast is good, everything there, clean breakfast-room and you have to try the cappucino! About the elevator we´ve been a little bit frightened, but overall it was a very nice stay - if we´d ever go to Rome again, we would chose the Orazio again!

This is my second stay this year at the Orazia. Although the hotel is on the fifth floor and accessed by a tiny lift (quite common in Rome)this is a fantastic hotel. The location is central and an inexpensive open top bus tour runs hourly from the nearby Santa Maria Maggiore. The staff are very friendly and efficient. On my last trip I took my 81 year old mother in law along and with the help of the staff we had a fantastic stay. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough for value, charm, location and lovely staff.

We had a very nice stay at the Hotel Orazia. We paid ~$125 USD per night (including taxes, fees, etc.) for a five night stay during the last week of June, 2005. This was an excellent price for what we were finding in Rome on the Internet. All the staff, from the front desk to the housekeepers, where very polite, professional, expedient and helpful. I would make a point of staying at the Hotel Orazia again and I have recommended it to my friends and colleagues. The hotel is conveniently located on Line B of the metro (subway/tube), just one or two stops southeast of the intersection of metro Lines A and B. This also puts the hotel very close to the Termini (the main railroad station in Rome; thus, a very easy connection to the FCO airport). In addition, the Coliseum (which has its own subway station) and the Roman Forum are a short walk southwest of the hotel. The Vatican is a longer walk, so having the hotel so close to the Metro is very convenient for getting to St. Peter’s basilica, particularly on a hot summer day. Our room was good size, at least 4 meters square, with a high ceiling (over 3 meters). It also had a small desk and chair, two nightstands, a large closet/dresser, telephone and a mini-refrigerator. One drawback was the air- conditioner. It was a tall, thin floor model on wheels that had a pipe that vented the hot air exhaust to the outside. This vent was not permanently fixed to the window and would sometimes pop out if you bumped into the air-conditioner. Overall, the A/C did ok cooling the room (considering the heat wave we experienced when we stayed at the hotel), it was a little noisy, and was probably a little too small for the size of the room. The floor in the room and the bathroom was marble. The bath had a toilet, bidet, sink and glass shower stall. Also, the usual amenities, soap, drinking glasses, hairdryer/blowdryer, and plenty of very plush towels. The room was on the 4th floor (the main desk and hotel entrance i

The hotel staff were very helpful and professional. The room was excellent. The price was perfect for me since I was traveling to several different cities and was on a budget. The location of the hotel was convenient. One stop from the Termini and located on the A line which is central to most of the tourist stops. It was also within walking distance of great shopping and other sites worth seeing. I recommend the hotel and will stay there again if I go back to Rome.

Key fault with this hotel: air conditioning in room was very poor. It was ineffective and too noisy and as I stayed in June this was a big big problem!!! Ignoring this the hotel is good: clean, quiet and breakfast was fine. The area is seedy at night but not dangerous: it is an easy (and safe) walk to the trains/buses at Termini.

This was good value even though the air con unit had failed.All capital cities are expensive.As tourists, coming back to a clean room with adequate facilities is much appreciated. All staff are helpful and friendly.It is true that there is street noise.A request for a quiet room will depend on occupancy and price paid,That is Life!! The hotel although a bit difficult to find(needs probably better signalling by some neon lights)is very nice,clean and well situated(near Termini and just by metro station).Our room was spatious(quadruple)in 5th floor,well cleaned but reception staff was indifferent.Hotel is well supported by small restaurants and nearby bars as well as the excellent gelateria of Giovanni Fassi(not to be missed!).Breakfast was typical continental and the ladies very helpful serving real italian coffee.Overall our stay was very pleasing and we would recommend this albergo to families with children.Finally the info received by this site for this hotel was quite accurate.

The room and service was typical for a 3 star hotel. I really do not think you can do any better than this hotel as far as location goes. It was quiet in our room, even though the hotel is located in a slightly busy area (which is good as far as I am concerned). There is an entrance to the Metro right around the corner from the hotel entrance. So, even though you are within walking distance to just about anywhere in Rome, if you want to save yourself 30 minutes when visiting Vatican City, the metro is easily accessible. When arriving at the hotel via metro, take the Via Vitorio Emanuel stop, use the Buonarotti (sp?) exit from the metro stop, coming out of the metro exit turn right and then look left at the corner and you will see the sign for Orazio. On a map, the Orazio may seem close to the train station (termini) and it is just about a 5 block walk. However, you are a world away and cannot see or hear any of the train station traffic. It is about a 5 minute walk to Colosseo. There are convenient metro stops for the spanish steps, vatican city, etc. If you get to breakfast and the room is full, just have a seat on the couch in the lobby and one of the staff will get you when a table is open. Breakfast is Bagets, Crouisants, sliced meat, cheese, cereal, various crackers, jams, butter, etc., OJ, and made to order cappucino, coffee, etc. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Rome. The only people I can imagine that would not like it are those who are accustom to 4 and 5 star hotels. Our room was very clean, space was sufficient (as typical in the area, the shower is a little small), it was not very noisy at night, and the staff are capable. We arrived early in Rome and checkin time is 2:00 PM, but the Hotel allowed us to check in early. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast area was very inviting and the service there was very good. Breakfast was more than we expected, excellent. Front desk was very helpful answering our questions and giving directions. When we return to Rome Orazia will be our destination, it is central to everything. We wouild recommend it highly.

At first when I got there it was late and dark, so I got worried about where I might be staying, but when I got upstairs to the fifth flor where the Hotel is, I felt very good. The employees were all very nice and the breakfast was very good. The hotel is in the center of everything. The bathroom was very clean. I will be staying there again.

The room we received, 508 facing the road, was pretty much in line with what we expected. The shower did leak a little but was not so bad with some towels next to the shower. The breakfast was okay, the normal American Continental breakfast, nothing hot other than the coffee, but the breakfast service was very good. The elevator worked okay, but I preferred to take the stairs for some added exercise since it was fun the race the rest of the family while they took the elevator. The hotel was right next to a Metro stop to make it convenient to get to and return from anywhere around the city in short order. There is a nearby grocery store, just down the street so you can buy all of the away from home items you might need. The hotel clerk was very helpful and even made some phone calls to tourist sites to translate and get information for us.

Overall it was a good experience. Good Service and location, although the map was not very clear to understand. The only complaint that we have was the bed. It was too hard. But besides that is was good.

The overall hotel is ok. The only complaints I have is that the shower doesn´t have any courtins so the water gets out of it and it can get messy. Sometimes we could hear loud noises from adjacent rooms like water running (when other people used the toilet or shower) and the bathroom´s ventilation makes a loud noise which you can sometimes hear from the other rooms. But the brakefast was good enough, simple but good. The location of the hotel is relatively good. You can walk to the Center of Rome in about 15 min and there is a subway station right next to the hotel. There are also good bus connections. for the price you pay compared to Rome prices I think the hotel is ok and I would go back to stay there.

Hotel is situated on the fifth floor of a residential building. Location is very convenient to subway but the area itself is not very attractive and I was told it is not very safe to walk towards termini station at night. Rooms are very spacious, but furnishing is old-fashionesd. Desk managers were helpful, but did not give us single room rate for the first night even though I called 1 day in advance to say that one person will be arriving one day late.

We were disappointed in our stay at the Orazia - nowhere in the website did I see that it was a 5th-floor walk-up. There was a small lift, but it would not carry 4 people and luggage so we had to make several trips. The website showed parking at the hotel, but it was a block away and cost 20 Euros/day. The "quad" room we had was actually a triple with an extra bed added - making the room very cramped. The shower in Room 508 had very little water pressure, making it difficult to get clean. The hotel is located right next to a Metro stop as indicated on the website, so it is very convenient. Breakfast was excellent, but the dining area had limited space which was a problem when too many guest wanted to eat at the same time.

I feel mean giving this hotel a less than glowing review. By Roman standards, the rooms are huge, spotless and attractive, with well appointed bathrooms. And, they are very, very quiet. The staff were very friendly and helped us a lot. However, the surrounding area felt unsafe and if I had been on my own I would not have stayed. Also, it is very tedious having to buzz to be let into the building.

Great location for the Metro.

Stayed for a weekend in December 2004. The location os right on the subway exit (if you choose the right exit) and overall a good location for price. The BATHROOM really needs help though. Water pressure needs to be checked, as well as temperature and THE SEALING of water - the whole floor was covered in water because of a leak. Damn cheap though!

Good hotel but not really what you expect from a 3***. No bath tub; not very good privacy with the neighbour's room (window on the street is shared with next door...)

I nice and quit hotel a short walk from the Colosseum and othe sights. We enjoyed our stay very much, and recomend this hotel to others that would like to se the magnificent Rom.

My only gripe was that the hotel is located on the 5th floor and the elevator only accomodates 2 people with 2 small suitcases. The staff was great and the prices were good. This was my second stay there and would stay there again.

L'hotel si trova al 5° piano di un palazzo che ha visto tempi migliori. Comunque la struttura dell'albergo appare recentemente rinnovata e pulita. E' situato quasi all'angolo di piazza Vittorio Emanuele (con giardino), a 15 minuti a piedi dalla Stazione Termini oppure una fermata di metropolitana (la fermata si trova proprio accanto all'ingresso dell'hotel). Il personale è stato cortese ed efficiente sia al telefono che di persona. La stanza era piccola ma pulita, comodo il letto. Il bagno, ricavato all'interno della stanza, era un po' rumoroso per via anche della porta a soffietto. Inoltre, pur essendo quasi nuovo, aveva una doccia poco efficace e un po' fredda. Abbiamo chiesto se era possibile avere più acqua calda, e in effetti il secondo giorno ci è stata data. Non abbiamo usato televisore né aria condizionata: quest'ultima era fornita da un apparecchio portatile. La colazione è stata di buona qualità e con scelta abbastanza ampia. Anche qui il personale è stato cortese e rapido. Il prezzo non è stato basso ma, purtroppo, in linea con la media di Roma, anche per alberghi di minore categoria. In definitiva è stata una scelta positiva.

Hotel Orazia is 3 minutes from the main Rome termini station and busstops to the Vatican.The hotel is on the 5th floor but there is a lift.There is no bar but the breakfast room is nice and the breakfast ok.Staff speak good Englisk and are most helpful.there are 2 sofas in reception.The rooms have good showers and clean sheets.There are cheap pizza and a small market nearby.

We are a family of four (children aged 10 & 6). The hotel exceeded our expectations. It was conveniently located (for Ancient Rome and the station for connection to the airport), the room was more spacious than we expected and very clean and comfortable (more towels were provided than at the 4 star hotel where we had stayed the previous 2 nights), the staff were friendly and helpful (recommending good places to eat nearby on each evening), the breakfast set us up well for a day's sightseeing. The only drawback was the hotel's location on the 5th floor of the block(the stair well was rather dark and dingey and the lift very old fashioned - our children prefered stairs to lift and climbed all 150plus twice a day with great excitement). This was rather off-putting first time round but once we had checked in and seen our room we didn't mind! Even on 5th floor there was quite a lot of traffic noise - which disturbed us a little because we come from a quiet village but others might not notice at all.

The triple room is much more spacious than my expectation.
