The Milo is very close to Termini which suited our needs. It is quite a walk to the sites of Rome however the metro is closeby @ Termini if one doesn't feel like walking too far. The Milo hotel is accessed by stairs to the 1st Floor As The lift is only accessible from 1st Floor to 5th Floor. Therefore if you have luggage you will need to carry it up the first flight of stairs and if you are unlucky enough to be allocated a room on the 6th floor you will need to also carry your luggage from the 5th Floor to the 6th!! The staff were not welcoming at all and it appeared that a smile was just too much for any of the staff. I am unable to comment on the type and number of available rooms.

This feels like staying in a maximum security prison. Dingy rooms, dim light bulbs (modern bathroom, though and fast wifi). One must carry luggage up long flight of stairs to reception. The location is very near the train station which is good (travel) and bad (unsavory local population). I would only recommend if you are desperate for someplace near Termini for the night. I would not stay there again.

Positive: Nice staff (especially cleaners and night reseptionist), buffet breakfast, good price for a single room Negative: Elevator problems (but fixed very quickly, even on Easter day), a bit little to choose for breakfast (or some variation would be nice), only Italian TV channels (as far as I could find) I did not use free wireless internet, but that is a nice offer. This was the fourth time at this hotel in Rome (would have been more if they were available), and it is my preferred choice, due to a good price to quality ratio for a single room.

Single room is spacious but air condition is charged 5 Euro per night, breakfast is shabby. I recomended to improve breakfast to the hotel owner. This hotel located near by Roma Termini and this area is not so safe, so building door is locked at night. There are plural hotels in one building.

The room was big enough for a 3 star. It had a king size bed which was very roomy for 1 person. Although on a busy street, it was very quiet. The best part is that the TV had over 200 channels. Most are in Italian but I watched Ice Skating event and Italian Deal or No Deal so very entertaining. Breakfast was good too.

Advantages of this hotel: close to Rome Termini central station and very accessible close to good restaurants Disadvantages: -noise coming from restaurant customers on evenings -elevator starts from the 2nd floor not ground floor making it difficult for hotel patrons to carry their luggages - no much variety on the breakfast offered - not all the concierges are friendly

Good price-quality-ratio given the general price level in Rome. Certainely not the most fashionable hotel and no luxury, but if you look for a centrally located, convenient and clean place for discovering Rome this is definitely not a bad choice. Bad points: breakfast is rather poor; cleaning staff starts its service very early (Sunday morning at 7am!) and is very noisy in doing so(slamming doors!)

We stayed at Milo on two separate ocassions. The first time we stayed there our room window faced the main street area and the noise in the evening/night carried to the room. The hotel is close to Termini and within walking distane to all the major attractions. There are also reasonably priced restaurants nearby. The reception area and elevator are all on the first floor of this building and therefore you need to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs to get to them. We would stay again for the location.

Hotel Milo is located near the train station, which is convenient when arriving and departing but not in a great part of town for the sights. We also heard that it's not the best area at night, but we had no trouble. We were given a very large room, with a dated but clean bathroom. You pretty much hug the sink though when you go to the toilet, it's that small. The internet didn't work in our room. There was also heaps of banging in the hall (doors closing), and voices from about 7.30am. But overall for a couple of nights in Rome, just to be a place to sleep while seeing the sights during the day it's not a bad hotel. But if you wanted a romantic hotel or a place you could keep popping back to during the day, this is not the hotel for you.

We stayed at Hotel Milo for 7 nights and were very pleased. Don't be put off by some of its quirks like being in a shared building, having to press a button to enter for security, or having to walk up a few stairs to get to the elevator. The location is great - 1-2 minutes from Termini station - and from there you can get anywhere. Wi-fi and TV weren't working in our first room, and the staff was very helpful in remedying this by moving us the following morning when another room opened up. Free wi-fi was great. Breakfast is only available until 9:30 and is super sugary, but still free. The room's are spacious, and the bed's comfortable. Just enough for relaxing from sight seeing. Our room was directly across from the housekeeping office, which meant we got to hear their conversations loud and clear every morning - so you may want to request not being so close to that. The staff was very friendly. I would probably stay here again if going back to Rome because location and wi fi is so great - plus two doors down there's a Rick Steves-recommended laundry mat (which we used with no problems - can buy detergent there). Great nearby restaurant - La Gallina Bianca, and here's how you get to the best nearby gelateria: back facing the hotel, turn right, walk two blocks and turn left, walk straight down the hill (past the back of the large cathedral with lots of steps), you'll see the word Gelateria on the corner shop to the right just past the church. Though the best gelato in Rome is Giolitti's by the Pantheon (directions in Rick Steves' Rome).

Room was spacious and clean. The hotel is in a great location - close to the train station and within walking distance to all the major sites. Only down side was you needed to climb half a flight of stairs to get to the lift and I was on the 6th floor and the lift only went to the 5th. But these were minor inconveniences - for the price it was good value for money.

Good quality compared with price (€55 for a single room). This was my second stay, and I will probably be staying here also next time I visit Rome. You get a simple, but nice room with bathroom. No luxury, but sufficient. Not many choices for breakfast, but plenty of everything. My only complaint is the noise from the corridor (through the door, not the walls), so do remember your earplugs! (Air condition not present in my room (room 510, but this was not needed at my visit in March), can be a problem in the summer.) Do not book this hotel if you cannot walk 15 steps upwards from the ground floor. The elevator starts half-way up to the first floor. Security is very high, you have to call the door bell to access the building after 4 pm, next you have to call the bell to your floor (cameras at both doors) and finally, you have a small safe in your cupboard. I also recommend the restaurant/pizzeria "Smeraldo" just a couple of blocks away in the same streat (v. Principe Amedeo 16-18). Not an extravagant restaurant, but excellent food for a reasonable price. Other restaurants in the area are ok, but some really awful! Rome is highly recommended, despite many people and tourists (and pickpockets and beggars). Very old architecture (where else can you cross a bridge build about 50 BC which is still in regular use, and enter a building which have been in use since the second century?), but quiet parks and churches (which might have sculptures of excellent artists as e.g. michelangelo) which gives peaceful minutes and hours away from the crowd. The surroundings is not the nicest or most romantic, but the hotel is very close to buses, metro lines and trains (incl. non-stop train to the fiumicino airport), which makes it easy for travelling both for short and long trips.

All in all, this was an excellent hotel stay. Proximity to Termini was a big plus, although what shows on the map is not as easy to locate first time on the ground with the maze of hotels all around. The hotel was well kept, the rooms neat and the service proper. Staff were very welcoming and warm, and we felt well taken care of. Only problem faced was some noise from the streets at night from vehicular traffic, though this is more a feature of the Termini area. Would definitely recommend this hotel for short stays in Rome.

The Milo is about 200 meters from the Santa Maria Maggiore to the west en 400 meters to Stazione Termini to the east: a perfect spot from which you can visit many directions in Rome by foot. The rooms are clean and convenient. Milo's entrance is a bit hidden, but indicated. Some employees were not friendly at all (which goes for more Roman citizens...), but others made the difference. Crazy detail: we asked for the emergency exit. The answer: under construction... All together, we enjoyed our stay in Rome and Milo supported it fairly.

We stayed at the hotel for a longer period some years ago, and the room was better, and more accessible then, though a little dark. The charm of the hotel staff varies from totally charming to charmless. It was of most use to us as a transitory stop in Rome on the way to the airport, though there are many other attractions nearby on a longer sojourn.

Overall this was a decent place to stayfor 2 nights. It would be nice if the elevator were accessible on the ground floor; otherwise, the description should mention that guests should be prepared to walk a flight of stairs. It would also be nice if the refrigerator unit functioned, and if the breakfast room staff did not loudly scold a guest for failing to see the tongs and using his fingers to pick up his own cornetto. The desk staff were always courteous.

Location is very good and easy to find. Hotel was very convenient and we were able to walk to all the main attractions from the Hotel. It is also very close to the train station. Area around the hotel is not the best but still felt safe walking the streets at night. The breakfast was good. We stayed in March but in summer I'd say it would be uncomfortable with no air conditioning. The communal stairway with the other hotels could do with some brightening up.

It was a nice hotel, near by the Termini station. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was nog very much, but it was enough and fine for us. This was a fine hotel in Rome near the Termini. We didn't have any trouble. The room was basic and not very big but had everything we needed. It had a safe and a fridge, good shower and even a hairdryer (although not a great one, it did the job!)As we were away all day, it didn't matter what size the room was really. The street traffic didn't bother us or keep us awake, and we slept with the window open. You have to pay €10 extra for air conditioning, but we travelled in October so it wasn't necessary. Breakfast was fine, kept us going until lunch time! The area is not great, although saying that we had no trouble. Plenty of restaurants about. Convienient to be near the metro and airport train at Termini.

if it had not been for the noise from the corridor (mostly when someone tried to wake up the person(s) at the room next to mine!) and the street party by scottish football fans (kilts), i would have been satisfied with everything. the elevator starts between the ground floor and the first floor, halfway up the stairs, but that was not a problem for me. (just remember to close both the inner and outer doors in the elevator.) the room is simple, but of good quality, and satisfies my needs completely, except from the noice mentioned above. the public areas are three chairs and a table in the corridor, and equivalent to none. but for me, i sit at a cafeteria instead, and are totally satisfied. the security seems to be top priority here. you have to call the bell when you enter, next also when you enter your floor, and still, there is a security box (safe) in the room for passport, money etc. the people are always nice and smiling. the hotel is not in a beautiful area, not at all. but instead, it is close to the termini station (airport train, both metro lines and a lot of bus routes), e.g. the maria maggiore basilica and a lot of nice, good and cheap restaurants (e.g. "smeraldo" a couple of blocks down the street).

Eso lo considero peligrosisimo y un tema a mejorar, a traves de evitar la rotacion de receptionistas, etc. Muchas Gracias
