Rooms and toilette were too small. Personal in reception accepted to change us the room without any charge. The hotel is located in an office building. It's not so comfortable... Poor breakfast in a very small area. On my next visit to the city I'll seek another acommodation option.

Hotel and staff were both excellent. Location was perfect for sight seeing Rome. Mario was particularly helpful recommending an excellent restaurant ,which served delicious Italian food at a very reasonably price. He also organised a taxi to take us to the airport for our return journey. Breakfast had plenty of choice and the opportunity to eat as much as you liked. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay here again if we come to Rome again.

1 night, job travel, close to the termini railway station, quite close to the heart of the city, low prices, clean room. what else? alone in a heavy snowing winter evening? take left at the exit, next corner there's an irish pub: beer and cheeseburger. not so bad.

I traveled with my 22 and 20 year old children. We stayed in a triple room. A positive note is that the third bed was an actual bed, not a cot. In a different hotel we were given a cot. However, the third bed was just placed in a double room. The bed was butted up against the double bed and the wall. This left no room to place suitcases and made it difficult for three adults to move around the room. For the cost paid for a triple room, I would have expected the room to be larger than the standard double room. Otherwise there should not be as large a difference in cost between double and triple room, since the only extra accommodation was the bed. The location of the hotel was on Via Nazionale which is close to the train station, metro, and bus stops which is convenient for those who don't like to walk a lot since the tourist sites are not in the immediate area. We walked often, but I understand that not everyone is up to the task. The desk clerks were pleasant and provided a map of the city. They did provide a recommendation for dining. This was helpful because we found dining in Rome hit or miss. Overall, this was a satisfactory hotel, and I would stay at Hotel Miami again.

Hotel with excellent situation, 10 min. walk to Central Railway Station, centric avenue, close to many city landmarks, etc. but the service is poor. The hotel shares the building with other businesses and the common hallways have dirty walls which give a very bad first impression. The breakfast is defficient. The breakfast room is very small, with tiny tables which are not comfortable. There is not a fresh offer. Not fresh bread or patries. The juices were not natural, quite diluted instead. The coffe must be obtained from an automatic machine, it is not fresh brewed in situ. In the room, the TV set was very old, markedly small screen, bad signal reception and awful selection of channels; none international channel for instance. The mattress is the hardest I have tried in my entire life, the same about the pillows. In the bathroom, the toileteries are insufficient and the shower is diminute. Towels were however very clean and they were changed everyday. The hotel has no lobby and only one person in the reception desk must fulfill all functions. The hotel is overpriced for the service it offers.

Excellent location near train and bus stops. Very secure. On major road, so road noise was loud when the window was open; but when closed, no road noise at all. Breaksfast was plentiful and in nice facilities. We had a triple room. It was easy to get to all of the major sites by walking or using mass transit. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Hotel Miami.

A very clean and serviceable lodging for a single traveler. Room was typically small, but with a clean and modern bath. But,it was the friendly and helpful staff that made for an excellent stay. Valentina, Mario 1 and Mario 2 are delightful, as are the others, but I've brain-cramped on names. Very walkable to all sights and 10 minute walk to train station. I felt safe in the area as a single female traveler. Good restaurants around and a grocery store and pharmacy a block down. Will be returning to Rome in 6 weeks for a previously planned commitment, and will be bringing a travel companion. Have chosen to stay at this hotel again.

The Miami is perfectly located. It is a 10 minute easy to walk, easy to find location from the train station. There is bus and taxi transportation right in front of the hotel. There are no hotel amenities except for a nice breakfast room on the 5th floor, but the reasonable price compensates for this. The desk clerks are helpful and multi-lingual.

Hotel Miami is ideally suited in the centre of Rome on Via Nazionale. We spent 3 nights there in August 2008 and it was an ideal base for exploring Rome. It is within walking distance of most of the major tourist attractions apart from the Vatican which is a short bus ride away on bus 40 or 64. The hotel is about 30 mins by Taxi from Ciampino airport and costs about €40 for a one way trip. Be prepared for some typical Italian driving with the taxi drivers!! Over taking into oncoming traffic is a speciality! The area the hotel is located in is very good, safe and relatively quiet at night time. There are plenty of shops in the locality and loads of lovely restaurants on the side streets used by locals and also a few bars (and yes there is an Irish pub!). The Via Nazionale can be busy during the day and they were re-laying the cobblestones while we were there. I'd advise you to e-mail the hotel in advance and request a quiet room at the back of the hotel like we did. It looks out on to a car park and some other apartment blocks. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodated any requests we had with a smile. The reception area is small, but the room and ensuite were spotless with TV, aircon, safe and mini bar. The room was a good size with tiled floors which were great for cooling the room in the August heat. It was over 38 degrees C the day we arrived so the aircon in the room really did the job. There is an adequate continental breakfast served on the 5th floor including a good selection of ham/salami/cheese, cereals, juices, tea/coffee, bread and pastries. More than enough for a light breakfast before setting out for the day. We'd thoroughly recommend the Hotel Miami as a base for exploring the beautiful city of Rome and will definitely use it again if we return to Rome some day in the future.

the hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the train station and about 100 yards from Piazza del Repubblica on Via Nazionale. It was a great location and all of the major sites were easily accessed on foot. St Peters and the Vatican museums were probably the furthest attraction but there was a bus stop just out side the hotel on the main street with buses heading there every 5-10 minutes! We also felt really safe walking to and from the hotel at night. The room was more than adequate and surprisingly quiet considering it was on a very busy main street. We were on the 5th floor and I got the impression this was the only floor of the building with hotel rooms, the other floors seemed to be offices of some kind. The breakfast wasn't superb but there was cereal, yoghurts and bread rolls which were fine - italians don't really take a big breakfast anyway.

We stayed for three nights in June 2008 in a "quad room." The simply furnished room was outfitted with a king bed and two cot-like single beds on either side. The king bed was comfortable enough, but the cots were not great. The bathroom was modern, clean, always had hot water. The room was not spacious, it barely fit the beds, but then we didn't spend much time in the room, so it was fine. It was quiet, temperature was good. Breakfast was your usual continental breakfast with pastries, ham , cheese, cereal, canned fruit, etc. Pastries were fresh and good. Coffee was dispensed from a machine but the attendants prepared fresh caffe lattes for me since that was not a choice from the machine. Dining room was usually fairly full and busy. Not a calm breakfast, but a good, fast one to get your day started. 10 minute walk to the train station. Centrally located for all of the tourist sites. We walked everywhere, except to St. Peter's and we took a bus there. The Miami is right on the bus line and the stop was a block away. The best part of the Miami hotel was its staff. Everyone we encountered was extremely nice, knowledgeable and helpful. They arranged for a van to the airport that was a good value. They also told us where to buy bus tickets and what bus to take for the Vatican and made suggestions on what to see. Overall, it was a fine experience and fine quality.

Helpfull staff, everyone spoke English, clean rooms, good breakfast. The location is good in the sense that there are excellent connections from Via Nazionale to Vatican etc., and we found it easy to walk to the Colosseum and to Trastevere, but we're both in our mid twenties and enjoy walking as you see more of Rome that way. The location was not so good in the sense that there really aren't that many restaurants around (you have to walk to near Piazza Navona etc. for restaurants).

This was what it said on the box - a cheap place to stay, near the station, in Rome. The room had 4 beds in but very little room to manouevre - it was obviously for 3 normally and not a proper quad. The room was very hot but the AC soon sorted that out. Breakfast was the normal rolls and ham. It would have been good to have had fresh coffee rather than from a vending machine though! The breakfast room was nice and quiet. The staff in the daytime were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in an office block and takes up floors shared with businesses, the reception is in a different part of the building to the rooms, very strange set-up! Was fine for one night but not somewhere I would want to stay for any length of time.

We spent 5 nights in Rome in October 2007 and were delighted with the hotel. It is very well located, within walking distance of major sites for those who like walking while the main bus routes through the city linking the sites (Nos 64 & 40) stop virtually outside the hotel. Close to shops & restaurants. Hotel was very clean, staff very welcoming, very informed to assist visitors, and spoke several languages. Rooms were fine with air conditioning which, even in mid-Ocyober was appreciated. Though on a main route, noise wasn't a problem - location and convenience easily outweighed this.

I also indicated that my girlfriend suffured from allergies triggered by mold but to no avail. The morning desk person was much more helpful. In general, the worst hotel of my trip to Italy. The Hotel is sited in a very good central location, on a busy street (Via Nazionale). It is small and like many city centre hotels in Europe it is slotted into an old building which it shares with some commercial offices. The reception is tiny with very little public space but the staff were all very helpful and friendly, spoke good English. Our room was facing the main road which was a typically noisy city street. If you are used to a quiet rural surroundings I would recommend that you ask for a room at the back, which was quieter. The room itself was large, very clean with a good sized (king) bed. The bed was rock hard but actually quite comfortable, especially after a day walking around Rome in the August heat. Air conditioning was a bit feeble with no discernable difference between low and high fan settings. TV only had one English station (CNN), but if all you have come to Rome for is to sit and watch TV in your room then you have wasted your time. The bathroom had only a shower (no bath tub) and the shower enclosure was small, but the water was hot and the water pressure good. The bathroom itself was immaculately clean, complementary soap, shampoo etc and clean towels every day. Breakfast was a typical continental affair with buffet style food. Cereals, rolls, cakes, yoghurts, ham, cheese etc. Dining room is on the fifth floor and is tiny, but the breakfast is adequate. One tip - the hot drinks come from a machine which is OK, but if you want a 'real' italian coffee (expresso, cappucino etc) then ask the lady behind the small bar adjacent to the dining room and she will make you one. The hotel itself is well located for site seeing. The Via Nazionale is a busy shopping street with a good variety of medium priced shops. Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colloseum etc all within 20min walk. Remember that Rome is built on hills and roads are often cobbled so walking can be quite tiring, but if you aren't in a hurry just walk slowly and soak up the atmosphere.

Hotel Miami was perfectly fine for a 3 star big city hotel. We had a family room, which consisted of 2 small rooms and a small bathroom. The kids slept on pull-out chairs. The breakfast was good, although we had to go down the elevator, and up to the 5th floor on the other side of the building. I would stay there again, because of it's location. It is 2 blocks from the train station, one block from the metro(to get to the Vatican), and close walking distance to the Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps- in one direction, and The Colosso and Forum- in the other direction. We enjoyed Rome- except they have a terrible graffiti problem.

No hacián ninguna variación ningún dia.

Hotel Miami was very close to the train station which worked quite well for us. The rooms we had was quite spacious and was price for the quality it gave. However, the room in same price range for my parents was smaller. The A/C was just effective only after an hour of operation. However, we had a peaceful cool night with almost no noise even after the room was facing the main street. The breakfast had choices but only for non-vegetarians. There was little choice for vegans and vegetarians. The lobby of the hotel was very small, but they were accommodative of keeping our luggage pre check-in and post check-out. The receptionist conversed very well in English and was very welcoming. The hotel is on the main road which connects you well to the city by public transport, both bus and metro. This can be very useful while sightseeing Rome. Also, if one is in mood to walk and see Rome, the hotel is fairly close to the historic centre and on a nice day, it is walkable from most heritage points.

Six of us stayed in two triple rooms for three nights. Arrival by rental car was effortless: we followed signs from the Autostrada to the central railway station and Piazza di Republica, and drove right to the door of the hotel building to unload our bags. The reception desk is open at all hours, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. We had rooms on the third and fifth floors; the lift was convenient. Rooms are clean, with marble tile floors and small but serviceable bathrooms. Adequate hot water and water pressure in the showers of both rooms; a slow drain in one shower was fixed promptly by the manager. A/C and refrigerators worked well in both rooms. Traffic noise on the Via Nazionale is loud at all hours (and annoyingly loud at about 5 am when deliveries are made) but the noise is minimal when the windows are shut. Walls in the hotel are definitely not soundproof, and we heard the noisy family in the room next to us on the third floor from early morning until late night. A very nice "expanded continental" breakfast was served on the 5th floor. The Trevi Fountain, Quirinale, Vittoriano, and Church of Santa Maria Maggiore are all within easy walking distance; the Colosseum and Forum are just a little farther. Buses to all areas of Rome stop right near the hotel. Contrary to the advertisement, there’s no Internet availability in the hotel, but there’s an Internet café just across the street which charged 3 Euro per hour. Checkout was fast and without problems. No problem paying with VISA. The six of us shared a minivan to the airport; the cost was about the same as six railway tickets.

Enjoyed our stay at the Hotel and in Rome. The hotel was as represented on the site. Our room was clean and adequate size for Europe - small by normal American expectations. The breakfast was great and allowed a fast start to the day. The desk personnel were always friendly and very helpful. Sonya the evening clerk was very professional and after a couple of interactions we had some good conversations. She had great recommendations for dinner - ask her to hook you up with Angelo at the "2 Columns". Mario lived up to all the positive reviews, he was very pleasant and helpful to the morning crowd. Andy was 1 week on the job and every time we saw him he had a smile on his face. The location was great for catching the major tourist buses out front and the train station and metro were within 10 minues walk. The coleseum, Trevi and spanish steps were all also within reasonable walking distances. Recognize that the hotel shares the building with law offices and a bank...however they never bothered us. My improvement recommendations were internet other than a phone line and the air conditioning was Europe style - it was straining in June - I can only imagine July/August. Regarding comments around noise - we had a third floor room facing the street and with the windows closed the room was very quiet - a different story if you like sleeping with the window open. PS - If the vatican is on your schedule consider a tour unless you do not mind hours in line.

The location was excellent for our purpose;site seeing and drawing in some local color and experience. Although we were on foot we found many excellent places to eat. Parking was not too close, but atleast it was more reasonable then other locations. The breakfast was very good although a little crowded if you eat at a later time. We have stayed at several locations in Rome and they all have a different atmosphere because of the neighborhoods where they are located.

A hotel that was very well located with clean if small rooms. Our room faced onto the busy Via Nazionale but we had no street noise whatsoever to disturb us. The only complaint was the hardness of the bed. I favour hard beds but I have never before experienced anything like this. It was only marginally better than sleeping on sand. I would happily stay here again IF they changed the mattresses...if not, I could not recommend the hotel

We stayed for 6 nights. It was our first visit to Rome. Excellent location, we were able to walk to everywhere. The room is just as seen on photos and the staff was very helpfull, we even used their airport shuttle service, very good. Close to a lot of stores, specially Despar, a great supermarket. Would definitely come back. Strongly recommended.

Very good central location and5 minutes from station. We could walk to the main tourist sites easily. Mario very welcoming and helpful. we got a very good rate for our stay. The only downside was the theft of jewellry from my sister's bedroom during breakfast on our last day- so leave nothing in rooms at any time! Even so -we would stay there again for the location.

Rome is expensive and therefor the hotel can be seen as good value for the money. A big minus for the breakfast room, if you do not get up early you have to wait a while to get a seat, there are far too few seats/tables. Breakfast closes too early. Breakfast is simple but ok. The hotel is in great reach to all major places in downtown Rome - metro just a few meters away.

Great location, rooms were spacious, there was only one incident at checkout they wanted to charge us a ridiculous amount for a phone call when we never used the phone in the room and the person at the front desk was just being mean. I ultimately did not pay for the charge, other than that this hotel is in a great location and there is a restaurant around the corner its left out the door and another left at the corner and the restaurant is on your right hand side before the block ends it was the best recommendation from the hotel.

Ottima posizione.

our stay at hotel miami was fine apart from one thing. the cleaner somehow managed to drop my toothbrush down the sink pipe and just left it as it was. when i went to the reception and told them about it they removed it and told me that i was fine to use. even though cleaner pours dirty water down that sink they still believed it was totally hygienic for me to use that toothbrush. well to cut the long story short they didnt replace it and i thought that was very rude and unprofessional. i mean for the amount of money you pay them to stay there they could at least buy you a new toothbrush. i wouldnt stay there again.

This was a return visit. After 4 years it was heartening to be remembered by Mario at the front desk who was as helpful and friendly as we remembered. We enjoyed meeting Sonja (new to us on the desk) whom we will always think of fondly.A visit to Rome would not be the same if we could not stay at the Miami. It feels like we're staying with friends.A big plus here is location. So many places are within walking distance and the nearby stores are great with reasonable prices (bring an empty suitcase). There is noise on the street side which is one thing we like, but may not appeal to others.

We stayed in Hotel Miami for 2 days. Our stay overall was pretty comfortable and the hotel was very nice. The breakfast was also quite good. It has a good location in Rome's downtown area in terms of approximity to attractions. However, one side of hotel faces the mains street and the hotel rooms on that side are a bit noisy. If possible, try to get the room on the opposite side of main street since those rooms are quiet. We got the room facing the main street first night, but when we requested they shifted us to other side the next night. Please mention your preference of your room location while booking the hotel itself.

A really good hotel alternative to recommend especially to adult couples, very clean, nice, old fashion rooms (a little too small bathrooms). Breakfast much better than we expected. The location of this hotel is perfect in the historical center of Roma. 10 min.walk to Fontana di Trevi, 15 min. to Colloseum, 10 min. to Stacione Termini, good shopping on Via Nacionale and a lot of restaurants and cafés in the area. This was our second time at the Miami. The location is great, staff are superb, especially Mario. The rooms are cleaned every day, there is plenty of choice at breakfast, but go early as it gets very busy! Just a tip we have picked up, if you are going to the Vatican don't use the 64 bus as its always, full to the brim! Go by Metro from the Republica...its a much more gentle, easy way of getting there. Not so packed, sometimes youn can get a seat - its altogether a nicer experience. If you want to go to the Vatican museum get off at the Vatican....not the vatican museum stop, as you will have to walk all the way around the walls to the end of the queue and that's quiet a walk! Be warned the queues are massive!! You may have to queue for hours before you get to see the treasures inside!! The bar across the road from the Miami was a pleasant watering hole for us, somewhere to sit and watch the world go by!

Miami is in an excellent location central to all Rome attractions. From outside Hotel does not look particularly salubrious but it is a hidden gem in terms of location, price and quality. Greatest feature is friendliness and helpfulness of staff, front desk staff very good in particular. Hotel 1km from Rome Termini Train Station and only 2kms from Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Victor Emmanuelle Memorial etc... Hotel Rooms are small but nice and quiet despite being on main Via Nacionale. Breakfast adequate, main selling feature is price and location. Would stay there again and highly recommend to other travellers.

We would definately stay at the Miami hotel again! The hotel was centrally located so that it was easy to walk around the city and stop back at our hotel throughout the day to rest. It is right on Via Nazionale which was very convienient with a lot of restaurants and shops. The rooms were a bit small but we were expecting that and it was fine for the 2 of us. The room we requested was away from Via Nazionale so, we didn't have any noise from the street. The only noise we heard was from other guests in the hallway or shutting the doors to their rooms. Miami was an easy walk to and from the train station as well so, we didn't have to get a car or taxi.
