We stayed at Hotel Marghera when we first arrived in Rome, and then again for 2 nights at the end of our trip. Our second room was much nicer & more spacious, and the bath had double bowled sink. We were unable to leave a suitcase at the hotel for a week, between our stays, as they do not have the space. hotel very quiet

Marghera is a family owned hotel complete with a very welcoming Labrador, who sleeps in the lobby. All the staff were very competent, responsive and friendly. The hotel is withing walking distance of the forum and is close to the metro, airport train, and intercity trains. There are also very good and very moderately priced restaurants in proximity. The only improvement the hotel could make would be in breakfast. If you are not an early riser, the selection will be quite limited. Even if you are an early riser the selection is somewhat limited. Italian cheese and ham could be added to improve the offering.

Very clean hotel, the breakfast room is marvelous. But the quality of breakfast could have been better. The surroundings are not very picturesque, but the location is very convenient and safe. It's one minute on foot from the railway station and there is very nice restaurant beside the hotel.

Evitese malos ratos

The hotel was nice-unusual decor, but lots of character. The area was great, went to a nearby restaurant for a very well-priced meal. Staff at Marghera were accomodating and welcoming, only problem was that their internet did not work-so we couldn't use the web as the website had stated. Breakfast could certainly have been better. Mostly bread and cakes-some fresh fruit would be welcome! If in Rome again soon, I'll actually stay somnewhere different-see how another hotel compares.

I travelled for work and we found only one possibility in Rome because there was the championsleauge final. The hotel is nice and confortable, but there was a lot of noise outdoor (supporter Manchester or Barcellona). I know it was an extraordinary night... For me it was good

We thought this place was fantastic, especially considering the price. The location right next to the train station was great, and the room was very accommodating. The breakfast was not overly spectacular, but it was included in the price, so who could complain? I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Rome.

The hotel was somewhat shabby, but comfortable. It is ahowing it's age. The breakfast area was very nice and the food good. It is also very close to the train station which we found convienient for travel. Very nice resturants close by.

The rate price/quality is very good if it is 70 euros per night as it was when I went there. They don't serve espresso coffee at breakfast and some rooms are really small, we booked 2 double bedrooms but only one was good and enough spacious, the other one was even without bidet in the toilet. The welcome was not that great cause they asked us to pay soon as we arrived, before having seen the rooms and even knowing we would have stayed 4 nights. Generally speaking the staff is not at all polite, looks like you disturd them if you ask for anything. But if you just come to Rome to visit it the hotel position is great and there are also couple of good restaurants just on hotel's corner.

Stayed in hotel on two separate occasions. First time no problems, second time the lift was awaiting repairs (no help with luggage down three flights of stairs). Otherwise good value - close proximity to Termini Station a big plus.

The hotel is very clean and pleasant, but beware of room 406, the one given to me! There was a permanent loud noise in the room coming from a rattling fan somewhere out in the corridor and which was apparently impossible to turn off. The hotel receptionist was very nice and smiling, but basically said "tough luck, just bear with it, we can do nothing about it tonight". I had to go out and get myself some ear plugs. This is not acceptable in a hotel with a price level above the 100 Euro per night mark.

I don't recommend this Hotel, they don't change a towels, room was not clean, they wanted that we pay a mini bar and we didn't use. Owner was not polite, a breakfast was non good just American coffee, espresso was not included.

The staff at the hotel all spoke english and were wonderful! The room was exactly like the picture, very wimsical. The hotel was very convenient to the train station and easy to find. The singing at 2:00 a.m. by the people leaving the bars was the only real problem but we found that all through Italy. I have already recommended other family members stay and if I return to Rome I will stay at Hotel Marghera again!
