Great location near the station. Friendly and helpful staff. Free WIFI in rooms. Breakfast offering could give greater choice eg. muesli, yoghurt, fresh fruit and some protein like cheese, ham or eggs.

Room was good size and bathroom good - we were told it was their largest room. Needed ear plugs for street noise (one of us)on the Saturday night Poor breakfast - no real juice, only coolaid type "juice" no cheese or eggs only one little bun and a sugar coated croissant. Very weak coffee from a machine (instant powder by taste of it)Two types of cereal of low quality. If they improved their breakfast we would likely come back - need to accommodate overseas traveler breakfast needs. Monica and reception was very good at helping with restaurants and finding way around Rome on buses etc.

Very warm welcome from Monica. She was very helpful & friendly. Our four bedded room was quite tiny. We fully recommend this hotel-within walking distance of all the major sites.

I was extremely pleased with the hospitality provided by the staff. They were very accommodating from check-in to check-out. You get what you pay for. Cramped rooms and bathrooms, toast and cereal breakfast. Location is very ideal and a few mins walk from the metro. I'd consider staying here again.

Hotel Margaret is a great choice for those wishing to have a place to lay their head at night. It is extremely clean and the staff is welcoming and friendly. The rooms are not large, but this is normal for Rome in this price category. The hotel actually has an ancient lift available to help you with the haul of your luggage. The security of the hotel property was also good, buzz in door and locked front entry at night. Several excellent restaurants are right in the neighborhood, and the atmosphere and surroundings are excellent.

Everything was great, but i was suprised that i was charged addition 20 Euro per day for 4 year old. I could understand breakfast, but she hardly used the extra bed. We liked the hotel and surroundings. Great place if you are using trains.

The hotel was really close to a metro station and to a Sightseeing bus stop so it was great. The bathroom was kind of small but it was clean. The receptionist and Hindu guy was really helpful, and all other people working there.

We were a family of four persons from Norway staying in Hotel Margaret. Mother, 2 daughters and grandmother. We were very happy with our stay. Excellent staff at the hotel. They were very welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean but maybe a bit old and small for four persons. But who cares, the beds were very good and we should only sleep in our rooms. And for that very nice price it was absolutely wearth it. Nice location in peaceful area neareby all the famous and lovely places in Rome. A bit traffic noice if I have to find something negative but the surroundings felt very safe and we were never afraid to walk outside at nights. Our only regrets is that we couldn`t stay longer and I will absolutely recommend this hotel to my friends, in fact I already have and I myself hope to come back some day. I have also rent a hotel in Paris 3 years ago at Venere.com and are very satisfied with the web-pages and service from Venere.com. Thank you very much

Very well located (50m from bus stop...3 blocks from subway)on a very safe neigborhood ( 2 midlle aged women could walk alone late at night). Small property and very small rooms but extremely clean, newly refurbished, neet bathroom, good quality clean towels provided everyday. Breakfast consisting on bread, croissant, jelly, butter, free acess to cereal and to a coffee machine.Quiet building on a quiet side street, had to climb 6 steps to reach an old elevator ( but it worked really fine), gently and acomodating staff. Would go there again for sure.

Very friendly staff. They help you with anything you need. The hotel location is close some nice locations and a bus terminal so you can go to all the important sites. Since in rome there are very few subways you will need to be close to these bus terminals. It is also very close to the train station so if you want to travel to other cities you can. Taxi from hotel to airport was about 50 euro. What i loved about this hotel was how much they pay attention to the details and make things beautiful. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again, but one thing you should know is that this hotel is the forth floor of a building. So you either have to walk 4 floors up or take a very small elevator up.

I higly recommend this hotel for those who want to have a very good relation between price and accomodation. The hotel is well situted and you will have walking distance to almost every places in Rome. The hotel is simple but clean and well situated as I said; furthermore, the employees were the most frendly employees we ever met in all europe.

Our quad room was very spacious. King size bed and 2 singles. Bathroom in our room was up-to-date and very clean. Nice breakfast with hard rolls, croissants, cereal, yogurt and a variety of drinks. Staff spoke limited English. We had no problem finding the hotel, but glad we had read the reviews to know that it was on the 4th floor of the building. Great value - especially for a hard to find quad room.

I would recommend this hotel to any family or friends going to visit Rome. We had room#1 which was practically a suite with a double bed and two single beds. It was cutely decorated and very spacious. The breakfast was very good and the service was excellent. We felt as though we were staying in someone's home. The restaurant across the street, DaGiovanni, is also impeccable. No matter what you ordered off the menu it was delicious - we ate there every night and is also highly recommended. The hotel was also walking distance from the main bus station, Termini. I will definitely be staying here again if ever I go back to Rome!

I would reccomend this hotel for its location (close to the train station and to the main tourist attractions) as well as for the warm and friendly atmosphere. The breakfast is generous and plentiful, but its quality should be improved.

I have to note that the beds were extremely comfortable. Just right after a day of sightseeing! The rooms are rather small but adequate for a short stay. Distance to the train station is very short. The bathrooms weren't super clean but overall I would recommend this Hotel because I slept so good!

We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel's public areas. The building lobby, stairs and elevator are shared with other tenants and appear to not have a maintenance schedule ... we seriously wondered how many years had passed since the carpet and railings had been cleaned. The hotel lobby, breakfast area and corridors also show considerable age and lack of routine maintenance. The guest rooms are in need of updating but were thankfully fairly clean ... the bed comforters were very worn and dingy. Over all reaction ... over priced for the quality, cleanliness, and features. Keep looking!

I have traveled quite a bit in Europe, but I have to say this was the worst hotel room I have had. The room was, literally, about 6 feet x 9 feet, or about 5 square meters, not including the bathroom which I had to access by going up two steps. Even though we were on the fourth floor, the traffic noise was intense most of the night. And the room was adjacent to the breakfast room; as soon as we opened our door we were looking at people sitting within two feet of our room. It is apparent that this room was created from a closet or storage room of some kind. I do not say this in jest. Emanuelle, the day manager, was extremely gracious and apologetic about the room. She said that the rate we had gotten via Venere was set by the old management of the hotel. She insisted on reducing the price from 100 euros to 80 euros, strictly out of embarassment, I believe, because she knew the room was so bad. She was a bright spot for the hotel. The other bright spot was the breakfast that came with the room reservation. It was quite nice and improved my opinion of the hotel. I would give this hotel another chance because Emanuelle said that the new management intended to make improvments. I would insist, however, on not using the same room.

Extremely friendly owner, doing her best to suit her guests. It is being renovated so it will become even better. Very good location to visit Rome, nice, safe place to stay at night, 10 min on foot from Termini Station. We highly recommend it!

Staff very kind and helpful. The Hotel is at the 4th floor of an old building about 5 minutes far from Termini Railway Station and close to undergroud and bus stops. The structure is a bit old, but the hotel is recommended for people who wants to visit Rome for the proximity to all means of transportation.
