Marconi caters very well for overnight or short term travellers who are merely wishing for a bed before leaving Rome

The rooms were nice with comfortable beds, breakfast was adequate, and the front desk was helpful when needed. The only negative was the surroundings, but not unexpected being so close to Termini.

Single rooms are very small, taller than they are wide. Very convenient to Termini.

I stayed at the Marconi for three nights. The surrroundings were poor, strange people in front of the hotel and homeless people sleeping. The staff at the reception was very unfriendly. The room was on the small side - which is not uncommon for single rooms. The room was clean and comfortable as was the bathroom. I was lucky that the room was on the back of the hotel, therefore it was quiet. The front rooms are probably rahter noisy since the street is quite busy. Overall the stay was not bad. From what I've heard from other people staying in Rome at the same time, there are much worse hotels for the same price out there.

it's cleaned and nice hotel located near the station. but the only thing missed was a good quality of service. the hair dryers are fixed in each bathroom and ours was broken, but they did not have the spair dryer for substitution and we all had to sleep with wet hair!!! (the reception said that he would find one and call us at the room... we waited and waited but he never called us...

The room was rather small, but clean and new. Only 1 block from the Termini station, and especially close to the platform for the train to Fiiumicino Airport. Very convenient, and had no problem at all.

While the general area is sketchy, the property is excellent for people staying over who need quick access to/from the train station, and it is filled with tourists/young travelers. The single rooms are very small, even by European standards, but do the job and the property is clean, safe, and well maintained.

The Marconi was a great place to stay for a first time solo traveller to Rome. It is conveniently located close to the Rome Termini train station. It is so close that I actually walked past it a few times before realizing I was there. It can be noisy if you have a room on the street side. However, the location, food, rooms, service, and staff were excellent. I would stay at the Marconi again. They even held my passport for me when I neglected to retrieve it from the front desk at check in.

easy to find hotel, located on ground/first/second floor of the building. big sign - cannot be missed. location very good for trafic with all types of tranport. mcdonald, pizzas arround. double glazzed windows. nice room, spotless. we had a large room with bath, kids had a big family room that can host 5 people. very good breakfast. large dinning room. surroundings so-so, just of the termini, but ok. supermarket SMA 150 meters - opposite the santa maria maggiore church. good 3 star, a/c ok, the price is high, but that's what we found. (double and triple for 210 euro, july 2006).service ok - not more. rooms cleaned each day, large towels. may consider returning to the hotel, if prices will drop. overall good stay.

Our stay for 5 nights was very pleasant, without any disturbances or problems. It helped to make our short holiday in Rome more enjoyable and relaxing. All staff were both pleasant and courteous - more than I can say for other Italian we encountered! Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. In fact my friend had stayed there the previous week for a wedding and she had the same message to give everyone.

Das Zimmer war ziemlich klein. Vor dem Hotel verläuft eine Tramlinie. Das Tram ist laut und verursacht Vibrationen. Gute Lage da sehr nahe zu Bahnhof Termini. Insgesamt kein optimales Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis.

Went from a nice large room on my first stay to a tiny room with an inadequate bathroom on my second stay here. The breakfast leaves much to be desired but the price was not bad for the location.

The Marconi is a clean, convenient hotel near the Termini station. The front-desk staff was warm and welcoming, and our room was very clean. The Marconi is in a bit of a run-down neighborhood, but we did not find the area to be unsafe at all. We had some traffic noise in our room, but it was quiet enough for us to easily sleep through the night each night we were there. Breakfast was not great but was acceptable (if not often refreshed). Overall, the hotel was a good value for the money.

Clean, nice and renewed rooms, quite spacious and combined with a warm welcome. All facilities in room e.g. minibar at very fair prices, free safe, TV and nice bathroom. Location near the Termini train station is ideal for using public transportations, restaurants in the surrounding. Overall excellent.

I have already booked to stay there again, yet the price to quality ratio is really average in comparison to many other hotels around Europe!
