This is the best hotel we have ever stayed at in Rome. The staff, especially reception, were very helpful and friendly. The rooms, although not large (usual in Rome) were very well appointed and beautifully decorated, also in excellent order. The breakfast was fantastic, we could have sat there all morning eating! Location was superb just off Piazza di Spagna (Metro station if required only a few minutes walk).

We booked hotel Manfredi Suites after the reviews on Trip Advisor and speaking with hotel Mario di Fiori 37 in hope that this place will be something similar to the Luxury suites Mario di Fiori, Babuino 181 or Margutta 54. It's true that hotels in Rome are expensive and rooms are usually very small in size but this place was really "different" from it description on the website. It’s hard to call this place a “hotel”. In reality it’s just a “serviced suits” with VERY slim services: no fitness area, no restaurant, laundry facility with limited hours until early afternoon without service on the weekend. It will be more appropriate and more beneficial for the administration to call this place serviced suits or B&B especially considering level of service, the entrance and the “reception” that is located on the 2nd floor of the building. The ONLY helpful and professional person who was there was a receptionist with name Allessandro. The other young gentleman was very lazy, boring and it almost felt like he is forced to work there… All service ladies were very nice and tried to be helpful with accommodation in the room. It may be OK to use this suits if you are single or traveling to Rome alone for few days for business, otherwise if you are a Jetsetter subscriber or LHW or SOHO house customer, Ritz Carlton (Paris), Peninsula or Mandarin Oriental (Bangkok), W ( Barcelona, Madrid) or Alfonso III Hotel in Seviglia...do not choose this place, you will be very disappointed… Go for Luxury suites Babuino, Mario di Fiori or Hotel Art ( which is just few meters away); all those places have the same value with non-comparable better atmosphere and services. It’s just felt wrong what we saw on the web side, our expectations, and what we faced in person…. This place is not worth what they are asking for! Positive comments about this place are LOCATION, very quiet and clean but VERY small with limited bath and room items. Many thanks to Alessan

Renovated rooms and the new showers were excellent. Moreover, the location is fantastic! Very central yet in a very quiet street. I would definitely recommend this hotel to those who visit Rome. We stayed in a double superior but the room was quite small, but acceptable and also what you expect in Roman hotels anyway.

This hotel is located in an EXCELLENT area. The street is very quite, slightly off the beaten-path. Spanish Steps has many shops and lots of choices for dining. Don't miss the Villa Borgese Gardens above the hotel area. The staff is very helpful with all matters. Only negitive was that internet connection was inconsistant. For ALL Europe hotels, since they are all rather old, always ask if they are doing construction, and what time they start working. There was construction at our hotel, but the noise never bothered us, but did some other gentleman who wanted to sleep later.

I went to Rome for work and pleasure and this hotel is in a magnifiscent location! It literally is 1/4 block away from the Spanish Steps and Metro station. The area is beautiful with many restaurants near by and a supermarket down the street to grab some water and snacks. The Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Pantheon are all within a short 10 - 15 minute walk and the Piazza del Popolo is about five minutes away. The staff were very friendly in helping to arrange a private car pick up to/from the airport; which I recommend for late night arrivals and early morning departures if you have more than one bag with you. The area around the hotel features very high end shops and is one of the nicest areas of Rome I saw in my five days there. Gregory Peck's address in Roman Holiday is 51 Via Margutta and the hotel is 61 Via Margutta(Fun side note) The single room I was assigned was really small, but it was only me and I was able to sleep, shower and relax just fine. Internet was REALLY expensive at the hotel, so you may want to try and find an internet cafe near by. I will definitely consider this hotel again in Rome, I will definitely be staying in this area in my next trip! Additional note: The hotel is on the 3rd floor and the Hotel Forte is on the 2nd floor; same building.

Charming hotel, 1 block off of the main drag by the Spanish steps. Great area for walking, shopping and enjoying Rome. Piazza De Popolo is down the block. We walked to the Pantheon and nearly all of the piazzas from the hotel. Catch the metro at Spagna and you are minutes to the Vatican. Visit Castle St Angelo (Hadrians Tomb) for great views. Fountain De Trevi also walking distance.

Room was next to the breakfast area and we could hear lots of busy sounds in the morning. Window was in very corner of room, with no real view out. We probably had the least desirable room in the hotel. Baseboards were missing along the entire room. Staff was very helpful with restaurants and information. Good breakfast.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Manfredi. The staff were all wonderful, friendly and informative. The location was off the main roads and quiet because of it, not the usual noise of Vespas, cars and trucks. It was a perfect spot from which to explore Ancient Rome on foot, only a couple of blocks from the Spanish Steps.

We come from Denmark, and I stayed with my sister at Manfredi for four nights. We both have family but needed a brother/sister vacation. Pleasant hotel, VERY nice and helpful staff at the reception. The room was small and there was very little space for our clothes. The room was nice though. Inside the hotel, all smelled clean, and our room was also very clean, including the bathroom and with clean towels every day when returning in the afternoon. Expensive accomodation compared to London, Paris and New York, but that's how it is in Rome. But the hotel is very well situated in walking distance to all attractions and in quiet surroundings. Hotel Manfredi made a nice stay in Rome even better. I will definitely recommend Manfredi to other people and come back myself.

I booked 3 double rooms and a triple in January for a July stay, 9 adults total. The room that I ended up in with my husband was definitely a single and they tried to pass it off as a double. It was the smallest hotel room that I have ever seen. The double bed was pushed up against 2 walls with barely any room to walk around the othe side of it. There was no where to put 2 suitcases. The hotel eneded up giving us a small discount for the room size, but it was really, really small. The other rooms are small overall but comfortable. The hotel is in a great location and is very well kept up and very nicely decorated. The staff was very helpful and courteous. If the rooms were not so small, the stay would have been quite pleasant.

Loved the location of this hotel in a cobblestoned back street where at the weekend local artists displayed their work -it had a great feel and was perfect for access to rest of Rome. Staff were friendly and full of local knowledge. Our room bordered the central courtyard and although room and bathroom on the small side, it was certainly adequate. Breakfast buffet adequate.

Ci siamo trovati bene e torneremo sicuramente!

Manfredi Hotel provides good quality chamber and services, near to most attractions, safe and quiet neighborhood. It can be better if operation is expanded to a larger scale for better economics and lower prices, and to provide a list of good airport transportation company names and restaurants of different kinds nearby for guests to choose from. I will certainly recomemnd it to friends if price remains to the current level.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was very accommodating to our changing schedules, i.e., early morning tour arrangements and early airport departure, by providing an early breakfast. As first time visitors to Rome, the staff recommended and arranged for a very excellent tour guide of Vatican City. They were most helpful locating a currency exchange location and calling for taxi services. The hotel is very pleasant and within walking distance to many fine points of interest.

Hotel Manfredi, located on the third floor with a funky, antique, elevator, in a bldg with another hotel on the floor directly below it on Via Margutta, is remarkably quiet for its proximity to the Spanish Steps. We reserved a double-standard room, and when we arrived around 5 pm, we were given the only room available -- it's a small hotel-- number 102, which was insultingly tiny and could barely fit one person. How they could possibly have called this a double room is beyond me. But because we were exhausted from a full day of travel, and we would have been charged for one night anyway, and because they immediately promised to move us the next day (before we even saw the room) giving us a choice of rooms (supposedly an upgrade), we decided to stay. . . We asked for a discount for the unacceptable room (180E plus)but were given a song and a dance, but no discount. However, the feel of the hotel is very nice--luxurious-- with the walls covered in soft, padded, fabric and the floors with plush carpets, nice prints on the walls and solid furniture, marble bathrooms, however, the showerstall did not close properly resulting in water all over the floor. And the sink did not drain well. The heat was not sufficient for us -- it rained and was miserably nasty out, when we returned in the evening, we had trouble warming up, with the bathroom being downright freezing cold. At breakfast, the first two mornings we found the waitstaff very unfriendly, pointing out immediately that breakfast was self-serve and not asking us if we wanted coffee. When others came in, we noted that they were treated differently. However, breakfast was tasty, hard-boiled eggs, warm rolls, then the usual cold cuts and yogurt, juice, but also fresh fruit, a tasty pastry tart, and delicious coffee.

We had requested a quadruple room and got Room# 109. It was much better than we had expected. The room was not very big but very well appointed. The staff and service was very friendly and excellent. We loved the extremely ornate interior decor. The attention to detail was just fantastic. The Air Conditioning in rooms was of great comfort. The location was very good and only a couple of minutes from the great Piazza Spagna. Very quiet at night. Overall, the location was very convenient and close to all major attractions. My stay at the Manfredi was as nice as I could have hoped for. The staff were wonderful and the facilities were very attractive. The guest rooms were beautifully decorated and no one in my group had any problems with their rooms (like I read about so much at other hotels here on Venere.) Their website does not show the correct pictures for their standard double rooms, which they indicated to me in their communications when I asked a question about them, but otherwise the rooms are as nice in quality as the pictures show. Breakfast at the hotel was very adequate with plenty of variety. Overall I found the Manfredi to be a very good place to stay, one that I would return to in a heartbeat. The hotel has 18 guest rooms on one floor of a building, and since I was part of a group of 6 friends it was very easy to be together in this way. Also, being so near the Spanish Steps was very handy.

The best thil of manfredi hotel is without doubt his location. I've been surprised about de cleanliness of the room and the quality of the toilet. On the other hand I think , as the mayority of theRome's hotels is too expensive for the service and the spaciousness of the rooms. Anyway , I will recommned the hotel to my parients and friends and if I stay at Rome again I will try to stay at Manfredi Hotel but in a room a few more big.

Manfredi was our first port of call for three weeks in Italy. The location is excellent, in a quiet street two minutes from Piazza di Spania, so we could see a lot without travelling far from the hotel. There are excellent bars and restuarants on these surrounding streets. The staff were very helpfull and had good recommendations for restaurants and historic sites. Ask for a room on the via Margutta side.

The hotel is situated on just one floor of a big old townhouse, and so it's a bit strange when you first arrive as you have to enter into a communal entrance and get in the lift to go to the third floor. But when you eventually arrive, the reception and communal areas are very nicely decorated and the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great - varied enough for everyone to find something nice, and lots of good coffee, however you like it, served promptly and with a smile. The location is absolutely perfect - shops are within 20 metres. The only let-down with this hotel is the size of the rooms - a double room is only just big enough for the bed itself. On the other hand the rooms are spotless and very nicely decorated and anyway you don't really spend much time in your hotel room when you're in Rome!

Hotel Manfredi was the perfect place for our Rome vacation. The room very comfortably accomodated our family of four. The location was splendid and allowed us to come and go during the day to rest if necessary. The location also allowed for access to wonderful restaurants to finish off our day. The breakfast room was small but getting a table was never a problem. The food available at the breakfast room was an extensive selection with items we all enjoyed. The staff was fantastic. A very atmospheric hotel with great style and charm. Beautiful, central location which helps create a wonderful first impression of Rome. There are plenty of restaurants close by. Staff are very welcoming and most anxious to please. Only one slight complaint - the breakfast room is very small and you may have to wait for a vacant table. We hope to return soon!
