Hotel Majestic - Rome

extremely small gym; very small room; very few international TV channels; overpriced hotel bar. Hotel itself is in very central location and well maintained. Service generally friendly.

The choice of the menu (restaurant for dinner) was rather poor, the dishes were complicated and not very good/versus price. For breakfast, the type of food has been found not in agreement with the high level oh the hotel.

Loved this hotel,loved the location, my only problem was we were quoted for bed and breakfast but when we checked in were told it was room only.

Your web pages stated that breakfast was included in the price for my stay at the Hotel Majestic. This is not the case and breakfast is charged seperately.

Very pleasant stay until the morning that we checked out. We checked out early in the morning to catch a flight, and I settled the account with my credit card. We got on the cab and were already 10 minutes away from the hotel. The cab driver got a call from the hotel, and made a U-turn and headed back to the hotel. The driver did not speak any English and was unable to explain to us why. When we got to the hotel, the front desk staff who checked us out presented me with a parking bill, which he insisted on being paid in cash. He used the excuse that parking was provided by a third party vendor and hence had to be paid in cash. The fact is, it was valet parking provided by the hotel, and at no point had I been told that it had to be paid in cash. It was only after a 5-minute stand-off that he decided to back down and agreed to charge the amount to my credit card. I suspected that he was making an attempt to swindle the cash.

this is a great hotel in a very convienient location.it is worth paying the little extra for the superior room as it will be bigger. try and get on as high a floor as you can.The staff are very proffesional and extremely attentive.Eventhough it is fairly expensive i think if you are Rome just do yourself a favour and stay there,the memories will last a lot longer than the check book!

A wonderful hotel with very attentive staff. Unfortunately we never had time to dine in their restaurant [we were there on weekend] and had other plans. The other restaurant recommendations by concierge were great. Get ready for a shock in price as the dollar is down and the Euro is up!!

The deluxe room on the 5th floor was absolutely fabulous with views over Rome. It was worth paying that little extra. The staff and service were excellent. May 2003
