We rebooked this hotel because we had already stayed there and would have preferred the same rooms. We lugged our luggage up the stairs only ot be told that we were actually in another building! Windows were double glazed thank goodness as were were on Via Marsala & not the in the side street as originally booked. Breakfast was poor compared to others.

The surrondings aren´t very good looking but the train station is in front of the hotel, which is great! The rooms are clean and confortable but very old. The air conditioning has a central managment. I liked it and the brakfast was good.

Hotel beznadziejny.

Location is really closed with Termini station. So I can go to any place where I want easily. But I have to pay 5euro per a day for remote control of aircondition even they never mention about it on hotel policy in venere.com. I used it just one day but they asked me pay for 3days price by mistake.

Buyer beware! There are much better places to stay very near here for only a few Euro more per night. Very noisy, poor breakfast, after the extra for air it was not a good value compared to other area properties. It was clean but that is the best I can say.

Great hotel, very quiet and clean. Highly recommended. Very conveniently located to Roma Termini Station. In the absence of an available single room, the staff generously gave me a double room with bathroom shared by only one other room!

Location superb, by the Termini. Rooms too hot. Should not have to pay for air conditioning. Breakfast was poor. Coffee barely tolerable. Should have better selections of bread. Cereal selection meagre. Should offer hot breakfasts.

The hotel is located rather good for the foot tourist in Rome, near central station with access to both busses and Metro. All of the staff were nice and helpful. The prices we were informed about were correct. The standard of the hotel is rather basic but sufficient. The hotel is a place to sleep, not a place to spend time. As usual in Italy AC costs extra. We were warned about the location near central station with regard to weird people, noisyness and adult shops in the area. That was no problem at all, we stayed with three children (5-8 years old) and felt perfectly safe. If you come by car you should make parking arrangements since street parking is both hazourdous and difficult to find. There are several garages for hire in the area, but be advised to check prices in advance.

Do not stay at this hotel! Our shower was clogged and almost overflowed within 3 minutes. The hotel staff said they would clean it but never did and got gross stuff all over the bathroom floor. One morning they decided to do construction (drilling, sawing, hammering)in the hall right outside of our door and did not stop even after realizing that we were still sleeping. Even though it is a great location, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed in a triple room with private bath. One adult and 2 teenage boys. Room was simple, no frills but very clean and staff helpful. Be aware in summer, they have AC but it costs 10 euro extra/night. You also have to climb several flights of stairs as the hotel is on the third floor of the building. Location is across from train station but in the central part of Rome and close to a metro stop. Lots of people on the main street almost all the time so never felt like safety was a problem. This hotel is great for the price if you are on a budget, traveling light and just need a clean place to sleep and wash up.

For a single traveler, the hotel was not bad, but the price was high related to the conditions offered. I may say that Luciani is not a hotel, but a "Bed&Breakfast" location is the best definition for what you find there. I stayed for 4 nights and in every one of them, after 22 o'clock it was a lot of noise coming from the neighbor rooms. I have also a bad surprise when I left the hotel, with the man from the reception who told me I didn't pay the bill, although I've already did it from the second day of my staying...I was lucky I didn't lose my bill ticket to prove the payment. The conclusion is that next time I will come in Rome I think I will stay in another place.

Basta. Non è all'altezza del prezzo. Se uscite prima delle 7.30 di mattina vi possono rilasciare un voucher dove andrete poi a fare la colazione in un bar convenzionato.

We arrived at the hotel and didn't know where it was. We thought it must be somewhere else. We should have been told to go upstairs for the reception. The entrance from the street is poor. Once we found the reception they couldn't have been nicer and helpful. The hotel was easy to find and was in a great location from the train station.

DO NOT GO HERE!  What a rip off!  First of all, it is listed as having A/C.  Well, it HAS A/C, but you have to pay an ADDITIONAL 5 euro/day AND give them a 20 euro deposit.  What?  And it was as hot as heck when I went, but I refused to pay extra for something that I was told was included in my rate.  (And there is no fan and if you keep the window open to try and stay cool, it's REALLY noisy.  Really.  I couldn't even sleep in late if I tried.  I honestly did not get a good night's sleep while I was there.)  Also, it's in a pretty bad neighborhood--nice.  Women traveling alone should definitely beware.  (Apparently, anywhere to the north of Termini train station is BAD.)  An Italian male friend of mine was VERY apprehensive about the area when he stopped by at around 9:30pm.  Also, beware if they give you anything "for free," because you will end up paying for it.  (I am used to hotels giving you things "complimentary."  That doesn't exist here.)  The ONLY good thing is that it's about a block away from Termini (major train station in Rome).  Also, the rooms are really small and the bathrooms are ill-conceived.  For example, the toilet paper rack is by the sink.  "Why?" you may ask.  Well, that's because the SHOWER IS OVER THE TOILET.  So ridiculous.  And if you have a room on the first floor, you hear EVERYTHING in the building and outside--the walls are ridiculously thin.

The web site said the rooms were air conditioned. This was not the case, just a fan in the corner. We needed to keep the window open which meant the street noise was loud. The breakfast was very basic by continental breakfast standards. We would not stay there again.

The hotel is located near the Termini train station, which is OK as long as the distance to the center is concerned, but this is the only good thing about the location. The street is filled with suspicious looking people and I wouldn't venture myself there at night if I didn't have to. There were even riots on the street at night wich woke us up. The hotel is located at the first floor of a building, it has a big sign at the entrance. We had a room for 4, the door on it looked like someone had previously used some force on it. The room wasn't very clean, didn't have air conditioning, but a big fan that we didn't use too often, because we were a little afraid it might fall. The bathroom wasn't great at all, an old shower and some broken things around. We had breakfast, so to speak, but it was very poor. I think they even had powder milk, anyway. We had to pay for the parking to a partner of the hotel and it depended on the size of the car, for a big car we had to pay 16Euro.

Excellent location directly at Termini Station. Had a very small room with view to a dirty backyard. In the evening some noises from kitchen, but quite ok. Missed a fridge to keep drinks cold. No telephone in room. Aircon ok. Stayed 4 nights, on two nights short breaks of power supply! Quite good price for Rome (50 Euro per night). Ok place if you only look for a place to sleep near the station.

The first night we were allocated a room under the stairs, without air con and with a window overlooking the back of a restaurant. The night was noisy and unpleasant and we slept particularly badly as there was a school group booked into the hotel and the restaurant noise continued until around 1am. The room had no working electrical sockets and there were exposed bare wires. The bathroom was cramped and the toilet seat was broken. We asked to be moved that evening but were told that there were no other rooms available. The next morning we asked to leave and the manager finally offered us an alternative room which was quieter, larger and with air con. This was much better and I have no complaints about this second room. The location was excellent. I would also liked to have known when the account was due. We thought that we had paid on booking (as with all other internet bookings) but the manager charged us on our day of departure.

The hotel is well positioned (only a few steps from Rome Central railway station), rooms seem to be spacious, while public areas are quite small. The only drawbacks in my short stay (1 night)were a leak of water in the bathroom and the impossibility to pay by credit/debit card, allegedly for a temporary malfunction of their device. I don't know if there is any relation with that, but paying cash was by far cheaper (I have been asked 65 euro instead of 95 as stated on my online booking). If you aren't looking for luxury and are sensitive about the price, Luciani could be an option to ponder.
